🇺🇸 A 16-year-old student opened fire at a Maryland high school, shooting a classmate

Thomas S. Wootton High School was placed on lockdown Monday afternoon after the shooting, police said. One student was wounded and is in stable condition.

The suspect, also a student, was arrested shortly afterward near the school.

The motive for the shooting has not yet been reported.
