Che Guevara, the legendary rebel and revolutionary, died in Bolivia 55 years ago. He helped make the revolution in Cuba, and fought in Congo. Not long before his death, he came to Bolivia to overthrow an imperialist regime.

On October 8, 1967, he was captured by the Bolivian military, and the next day he was shot. However, Bolivian children today know nothing about the commander. His memory is cherished only in the village where he was killed. The locals there pray to the portrait of Che Guevara. They ask him, for example, to return the cattle that escaped.

Watch our video and documentary Chasing Che (2017) to learn what he was to Bolivians.

‘Farmers’ death = famine'

With posters bearing captions like these, dozens of farmers with their tractors took part in a protest in Frankfurt over the economic decline in the country. The protesters also demanded a halt to the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

More and more people in Europe and the US are upset with anti-Russian sanctions, which have led to a rising cost of living. Inflation has taken a severe toll on farmers all over the world as fertilisers, equipment, and other supplies eat up the bulk of their budgets.

‘Everything is so expensive right now. The main reason is because of the cost of fuel. That drives the cost of everything up,’ says Joe Kriegel, a farmer from Iowa. How does he cope and what perspective does he see for his farming future? Find out in US Farm Crisis.

Footage shows the aftermath of the destructive landslide in Las Tijeras. Authorities say several days of torrential rain caused rivers to overflow. At least 25 are dead with 52 people missing.

The force of the floods caused catastrophic damage, filling streets with mud, boulders, trees and other debris. Power and water infrastructure has been severely impacted, and many of the town's several thousand residents were left without power or water.

‘What has happened in the town of Tejerias is a tragedy,’ said Vice President Delcy Rodriguez. According to her, a month’s worth of rain had fallen in just eight hours. She promised to set up shelters for people who lost their homes. Venezuela President Maduro declared three days of mourning.

Boston Children’s Hospital: babies know in the womb if they’re transgender

The Harvard-affiliated clinic has published several videos about surgical offerings for transgenders. But the content enraged viewers, who began to threaten the institution until the hospital deleted the videos.

In one of them, psychologist Kerry McGregor claims that even before their birth, kids know what gender they should be. ‘Most of the patients know their gender usually around the age of puberty, but a good portion of children know as early as seemingly from the womb.’

Net users were shocked. Some people even went to the clinic to protest with posters and signs carrying slogans that read ‘children are never born in the wrong body’ and ‘children cannot consent to puberty blockers’. Do you agree with the protesters?

More and more people are making the decision to change their gender. But after the surgery, many begin to experience regret over their decision. Some even have serious mental disorders.

Can the gender transition propaganda affect the child’s psyche? Find out in Pride and Piety.

Nuclear Blackmail

Nuclear Terrorism or what will the Ukrainian army’s shelling of Zaporozhye NPP lead to? The threat of nuclear catastrophe has not abated.

While IAEA inspectors recommended that shelling on the site of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and in its vicinity ‘should be stopped immediately’, the artillery strikes by the Ukrainian side continue. Yesterday it was reported that one of the shells fell 12 meters from the site of the storage of spent nuclear fuel.

Experts and plant workers warn that if the attacks do not stop, there could be a nuclear disaster six times more dreadful than the one in Chernobyl. ‘I can say for sure it will be terrifying. Playing with nuclear facilities always end badly,’ says Renat Karchaa, CEO Adviser of Rosenergoatom. According to him, the situation is also complicated by the fact that the Ukrainian side knows where to shoot, because it receives tips from former employees of the plant.

In our premiere Nuclear Blackmail, we show a timeline of the Ukrainian army’s shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP and tell what Ukrainian Armed Forces’ provocations can lead to.

US Congressman calls to cut foreign aid to Ukraine

‘No more foreign aid, especially not to fund a war that we should have no involvement in. Biden and his crime family may owe Zelensky, but America doesn’t,’ US Congressman Paul Gosar wrote on Twitter.

Gosar was one of 57 GOP lawmakers to vote against a $40 billion economic and military aid bill for Ukraine in May. Back then, the congressman explained: ‘Russia is not our enemy. Ukraine is not our ally. Spending $40 billion to fund the Ukraine war machine is pointless and will lead to more death and destruction.’ He called the Zelensky regime ‘an autocratic dictatorship’ which was illegally installed by a coup in 2014.

US national debt tops $31 trillion, according to the US Treasury Department. The country is struggling with runaway inflation, but Biden keeps giving financial aid to Ukraine. Do you think it’s a reasonable distribution of funds?

The Good, The Bad and the Loco

Bright skirts, braids and bowler hats are the typical attire of a cholita, a Bolivian wrestling fighter. Despite the fact that all lucha libre shows are pre-planned, the women in the ring do receive real injuries. They have to treat them at their own expense, however, as the cholitas have no health insurance.

The performers wear national dresses for the spectacular show of fighting, which involves throwing each other over their heads and mimicking fights. Each show draws crowds of locals and tourists.

As a rule, girls from poor Indian tribes perform in the lucha libre. These staged fights are a way to earn a living for their families. On National Bolivian Women’s Day, watch our film The Good, The Bad and the Loco (2017) about these unusual women fights.

‘It’s absolutely disgusting, disturbing and totally and completely inappropriate for children.’

With these words the American mother calls on other parents to take measures over the graphic novel ‘Gender Queer’. The book, which contains depictions of oral sex, masturbation, homosexual acts, can be easily found in some US school’s libraries.

Maia Konobe, the author of the controversial work and a non-binary, sees nothing wrong with the book and says all these things are ‘part of life’.

A video of an Illinois librarian recommending the publication shocked those who had never heard of the book. Some called it the ‘distribution of pornographic materials to minors’, while others said the librarian should be arrested.

Have a look at the materials offered to children in our video and decide for yourself: does the book belong in a school library?

😱US educators frighten children by screaming in scary masks. What's going on?

In video footage taken from a Missisippi daycare center, a worker is seen wearing a mask and approaching and yelling at toddlers. The tears and cries don’t seem to faze the adults.

The video quickly went viral and the police began an investigation of the incident, but the employees from the video have already been fired.

The worker later posted an apology video, where she explains that the idea was to teach a lesson to those who misbehaved. But can such a method really work?

The toddlers were crying and appear to be terrified. The woman also stated she didn't 'mean to harm anybody and it wasn’t ill-intentioned.’ Do you believe it?

Argentinian DNA: A Different Argentina

Almost as much as football, Argentineans love rodeo. Local cowboys can't imagine their lives without racing. Children in the villages would prefer a horse as a present instead of a play station.

Away from the cities, time seems to have stopped. Women make bags by hand from the leaves of plants. Men burn logs and sell charcoal.

On Day of Respect For Cultural Diversity in Argentina, watch an episode of Argentinian DNA (2019) about this country’s amazing traditions.
