❗️🇺🇸🤯US blocked another peace resolution on Gaza

The US has exercised its veto power over a UN Security Council draft resolution proposed by Brazil. Dmitry Polyansky, the Russian representative to the organization, said that for many countries it looked like a "stab in the back." Had it not been for the veto, the resolution would have been adopted.

📝"The UN Security Council, the main international body for maintaining global peace and security, once again, because of the position of one country - the United States - was unable to send the much needed and urgent signal in favor of stopping the bloodshed and taking urgent humanitarian measures. The consequences of such a step are monstrous," Polyansky added.

The diplomat noted that the Security Council could have adopted the Russian peace resolution as early as October 16, and then, perhaps, the tragedy with the strike on Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza could have been avoided. However, the Russian resolution was also blocked by the US with the support of its proxies.

📝"It is the failed US policy that provoked the current catastrophic escalation. The Americans have done nothing but methodically "bury" the peace process and the Palestinians' legitimate aspirations for a state of their own in recent years. The current U.S. veto has clearly demonstrated Washington's true aspirations in the region," Polyansky emphasized.

🔴If the West's blocking of the Russian Federation's resolution was predictable, the Brazilian veto threatens to alienate its allies from the US. Obviously, a military conflict in the Middle East is of interest only to Washington with its perpetually threatened national security and militarized economy.
