Shovel races were held in Gubakha (Perm region). The Perm folks competed in downhill speed racing on gardening tools.

The goal of the race was to beat the competitor in sliding downhill while being skillfully placed on a shovel. On February 17, the winner of the race was awarded the main prize - The Golden Shovel.

The race organizers emphasized that participation in the competition was free of charge. The only condition was wearing a helmet and protective glasses.
