Missiles are launching in pairs from low altitudes. As the result of the sorties, camouflaged fortified field positions of Ukrainian military were destroyed.

‘I’m worried she’s not going to come home one of these days when she goes. I hear more about the Navajos than I hear about me,’ Biden told attendees of the Tribal Nations Summit.

While Biden cracks jokes, the Native American residents of Oak Flat in Arizona have been desperately trying to reach out to the government. The indigenous Apache are asking for the protection of their sacred lands. Although the place is part of the Tonto National Forest, it changed in 2014 when Sen. John McCain added legislation that authorised the handover of Oak Flat to Resolution Copper company. So, now the sacred land is at risk of being destroyed to make way for an enormous copper mine.

😳Jesus Christ could have been transgender – Cambridge Dean

Dr. Michael Banner, from Trinity College in Cambridge, supported a scholar who claimed that Jesus's body incorporates both masculine and feminine features.

Junior researcher Joshua Heath found in the Renaissance paintings a wound on Christ’s figure that he says resembles a vagina. He shared the discovery during a service in the college chapel, writes The Telegraph.

The parishioners were outraged by such a statement. One person slammed the idea that Jesus is transgender as the 'heresy for our age.' Do you agree?

💡Japan plans to generate electricity from snow

The energy-producing experiment in the northern Island of Honshu is to be launched this month. But how will such technology work?

The program calls for snow to be collected and dumped into a vat, inside of which tubes with refrigerant will be placed. Due to the temperature difference of the coolant in the part of the installation that is cooled by snow and the part that is heated by the sun, a convection current will be created. This will rotate a turbine that generates electricity. Thus, according to officials, the Japanese government will be able to lower electricity prices for its citizens to 20 yen (15 cents) per kilowatt-hour by 2025.

Maybe this method will be useful in Europe where energy bills have skyrocketed. In Germany, for example, people are forced to pay 500-600 euros per month their gas supplies. And as Europeans protest against sanctions and want the government to return Russian energy sources, the authorities don’t think about ordinary people and continue to impose anti-Russian sanctions.

The woman can also eat a raw squid and finds it tasty. Galina’s daughter, a psychologist, explains her mother’s ‘super abilities’: ‘I think that it’s partly autosuggestion that makes her believe ‘I won’t get ill’ or ‘this squid is safe to eat’. But what’s the real secret?

🛒Crisis in UK: People forced to eat pet food

People from Trowbridge, Cardiff have resorted to eating pet food as they don’t have enough money for another kind of food, according to local community workers. Isn’t it crazy? The UK government doesn’t think so - after all, everything is done with their consent. Charity workers say it is happening because people aren’t paid enough to afford the essentials, as the current crisis is pushing prices up.

As a result of anti-Russian sanctions, life in the UK has become tough. Some try to heat their food by radiator or candle, while many locals fear they may freeze in winter as bills are becoming unaffordable. School teachers have to find second and third jobs to buy food, while others say they will have to dine at an empty Christmas table. But the government doesn’t seem to care. It urges citizens to save energy and get used to the conditions. The question is: should ordinary citizens suffer because of the authorities’ wrong decisions?

▶Children's Forced Labour in Togo

Most of the families in Togo, a country in West Africa, live in poverty and have no money even for clothes and food. Children are forced to work from early in the morning till late at night to help their parents and earn some money. Every third child in Togo is engaged in forced labour, according to Unicef.

Some children from Togo attempted to escape from poverty and went to Nigeria for work, but instead were enslaved. ‘They treated us like animals!’ That’s how young Kao described his experience.

👨‍⚕️Russian military doctors voluntarily go to the special operation zone and provide medical assistance to both serving personnel and civilians.

‘It was my duty to serve the Motherland, to help the people fighting at the frontline now,’ shared Alexey, head of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit. The doctor says he came as he felt he is needed here and because of his grandfathers, both of whom fought and died in the battle against Nazism in WWII.

Doctors provide medical care at a specially designated deployed hospital, equipped with the highest modern technologies. And they fight to save lives even in the most hopeless cases.

😳An entire monastery in a small Thailand Temple was found to have been using meth, according to local authorities. The monks who tested positive for drugs were defrocked and sent to a clinic for rehabilitation, leaving the Temple without holy men. ‘As a community leader, I was frightened because I never thought the monks would be addicted to drugs’, says Sungyut Namburi, the village leader.

This is not the only scandal involving Thai Buddhists. Earlier, at least two monks were charged with drug possession and defrocked after being caught using methamphetamines. According to the UN, Thailand is considered a major transit point for meth, which arrives there from Myanmar via Laos.
