If you used to buy olive oil and now it pains you to look at its price, it's now a long time coming. The price of it is not going to drop, all because of insufficient rainfall and heavy stress on the crop. Demand is dropping, so people are buying more oil or not buying it at all.
Further to the previous news: Spanish households are buying less in supermarkets than a year ago, but spending 11% more. Sugar, rice and frozen vegetables have seen the biggest price increases. Even the national soft drink «Orchata» became more expensive by 20%.
Have you already renewed your season tickets Renfe? The previous season tickets expired on Thursday, August 31, the new ones will be valid until the end of December. The company advises to sign them up through the app or website, it's faster that way.

They had a record impact on the economy - the average duration of a trip is 7.4 days, spends a tourist each day 185€, most tourists come from the UK, France and Germany.
The average salary in Spain is 500€ lower than in the EU as a whole. Here it is 1822€, in the 27 countries it is 2302€. Spaniards earn 5760€ less per year than their European neighbors. There are 15 other countries with lower average salaries and 11 with higher. That's the money stuff.
For residents of the Costa del Sol and its tourists, they have launched an app MoveTransfer, in which they have gathered a base. There you can book transfers, hotels, watch concerts and sporting events, restaurants are there too.

Being self-employed in Spain can be challenging: quarterly tax returns, high monthly social security contributions and tons of different forms to fill out throughout the year. So it’s important to keep up to date and know when to do what.
If you plan to become autónomo or self-employed in Spain, you can’t just decide to become a freelancer and start working — you need to officially register to legalize yourself and be able to legally invoice.
Social Security defines the self-employed as: «Workers over the age of 18 who, on a regular, personal and direct basis, engage in economic activity for profit without having an employment contract.»
Registration as self-employed
To legally engage in self-employment in Spain, you must register with both the social security authorities and the Treasury Department (Hacienda).
Registration with the social security authorities is done using form TA.0521, which allows you to register with RETA, a special regime for the self-employed.
You will then be registered for social contributions and pay monthly contributions based on your earnings. This will allow you to pay for health care, sick leave, maternity and childcare benefits.
To register with Hacienda or the Treasury, you will need to fill out form 036 and choose your type of activity. This will allow you to invoice and pay tax as a sole trader.
When do I need to register?
The Department of Equality and Social Security stipulates that once you start working as a freelancer, you must register either on the day you start working or 60 days before.
If you know your business will be up and running by a certain date, registering in advance is a good option.
If you register after the start date, the registration date will be considered the first of the month and you won’t be able to take advantage of preferential rates.
If you enroll 90 days after the start date, the process will be slightly different and you will have to request a special enrollment by submitting an application.
