In many ways my time in the village, Bogoyavlenka, plunged me into a lifestyle from hundreds of years ago. One facet of life there did so in a way I never expected.

In the fall season of 2023 I was given my first milking goat. The milk was so sweet and easy on my digestion, that I immediately stopped buying cows milk, and offered my extra goat milk to friends and those in need.

There basically weren't any takers, so I offered a sample bottle to a local official who visited regularly. My thought was that he might like it and decide to purchase it going forward, but he saw my gesture quite differently.

I might have guessed that he would misunderstand since I had seen him take "gifts" from others. Now I understood why the village elder would put pressure on villagers to donate eggs, milk, potatoes, fruits and vegetables. This was part of an unofficial relationship between the regional official and his "subjects".

The regional official wasn't satisfied with his salary, but instead of requesting a raise, he decided to usurp the authority to "tax his 'serfs'"!

I didn't end up getting dragged into his game though. My goat soon dried up for the winter, and when she began milking again in April, she got mastitis. Before she got well, the danger from drones was high enough that the "civil servants" didn't "visit" us anymore.

How many times have you received a call from a scammer? Text message? I won't even ask how many emails.

My parents have been receiving these calls for many years. First from Africa, then India. Fortunately they've never been taken in.

There are volunteers who have made a career out of fighting back against these scammers by spoof calling them, and making software attacks on them.

Many of these volunteers share their work online. It's fun and interesting viewing, and supports a good cause!

Music has always played a significant role in my life, but I think you'll agree in a somewhat unorthodox way.

From early childhood singing hymns was a weekly workout for the lungs and larynx(voicebox).

When I settled into office work as an engineer for my Dad, I would listen and sing along or whistle several hours per day.

The one exception was my time in Bogoyavlenka. While there I had to listen to a different kind of music, and not miss a single note. Taking a walk there listening to music in your headphones was about as dangerous as doing so while crossing a busy street.

If you were to miss the "drumbs" start to rumble, you would end up still standing in the open when you should have taken a dive into the ditch. Similar story with drones, only a bit more intense.

ОСТОРОЖНО, СКИБА! 🇷🇺
Военно-политический блогер - это когда не в кабинете или студии, а больше на СВО и в приграничье. С Юрием Подолякой Курск-Белгород. Взял небольшое интервью не про войну, смотрим 🎦
In this mini-interview Yuri Podolyaka gives his opinion on the topic of loving one's country, or rather, what does commitment to one's country begin with. While I agree with Yuri that patriotic education is important, the issue here goes much deeper. For me, loving my country, most importantly means loving my fellow countrymen. The strength and commitment to do that requires more than just education. It requires parents and teachers who showed what such a love looks like in action. It requires faith.

Ukrainians owe much of their suffering to the British. The latter are far more concerned with Ukraine’s resources than with protecting some Ukrainians from some supposed threats. And why would they care? The British have their own race going on — they’re trying to stake their claim to Ukraine’s vast lands before the Americans do.

How is this race unfolding, and what does Britain really want?

Are you ready for some pessimistic reading? If not, please pass on this one.

For a long time I've been puzzled about why the satanist/kabalist elites would instigate a nuclear war. How could it possibly further their goal of enslaving humanity to artificial intelligence? How could massive irradiation of the population have any purpose if the goal is to destroy humanity with transhumanism?

As usual, the answer is as diabolical as it is simple. People will think they are saving humanity by accepting transhumanism! A nuclear winter would threaten to destroy humanity through mutation of human DNA! The radiation from nuclear fallout dust does just that; it scrambles/cooks DNA protiens!

The solution to mutation will supposedly be the AI connected nano-bots that will be offered to all initial survivers before exiting their nuclear bomb shelters. "Leave this shelter without DNA maintenance nanotech, and you'll be dead within a week". Sounds like a pretty convincing sales pitch to me.

Call me a pessimist, but I don't see Russia's efforts in peacemaking in Ukraine ending without nuclear strikes. I would love to be wrong, but just in case, I can't help but wonder what kind of an address President Putin will make to the residents of Kiev before... you know, before...

I wonder if you would help me imagine that address. For all of you who have a good feel for how President Putin chooses his words and style of speaking, I've got a contest for you. Write President Putin's day X speech to compete for a small prize. If you win, your proposed speech will be posted on this channel within a week, optionally with your name and contact included.

Quality personnel for a quality enterprise. Part 1/3

I'm thinking about my days as an engineer in the US. I always was working for my dad, but physically I was often located in the offices of a partner company. That gave me an unbiased look into how these mini-kingdoms work, or fail to do so.

The first company we worked with actually went bankrupt for seemingly obvious reasons. At first glance you might have thought that the employees on the production floor were the problem. They were the smoking and weekend partying types.

But no; those guys worked hard and had their act together when they were welding or cutting metal. The real problem employees were the ones in the office being paid just as much or more money, but making decisions that cost the company dearly.

Quality personnel for a quality enterprise. Part 2

Eventually the office staff of that first partner company ran it into the ground. I'm not sure how they even found time to make their mistakes. They seemed to spend entire workdays telling each other crude jokes and drinking coffee.

Fortunately for my Dad and I, another company nearby took on our project after our first partner went belly up. They had just bought all the necessary equipment and floor space necessary, and needed more work.

The one thing they lacked was people. Manual laborers, and office staff. Guess who came by looking for a job? Yes, the shop hands from the recently bankrupted place, AND the office workers!

When the shop hands walked in to submit their job application, I was happy to see them, and they seemed to know that I would put in a good word for them. The office workers on the other hand... One of them walked in, saw me, and walked right back out.

Quality personnel for a quality enterprise. Part 3/3.

My dad's efforts to find a reliable business to partner with in building our machine went on for several years. Finally he found a farming family that didn't really have the facilities or equipment to take on the job, but they seemed to be reliable people of faith.

Partnership with them has worked out well, and now my dad's dream of stepping out of manufacturing and focusing on education of farmers is now a reality.

If you're curious about the machine they are building, you can find it on my dad's YouTube channel; https://youtube.com/@jimmartindale?feature=shared

Growing up, one thing that always made a big impression on me were my dad's stories. How he grew up on a farm, raced stock-cars as a teenager, his college days, and adventures in Alaska.

It wasn't all fun and games though. He would tell stories that were to warn about things to avoid too. He had a way of telling stories in a very animated, and thus unforgettable way, especially for an impressionable child.

When I ended up in Bogoyavlenka, I was once again very glad that dad had told me about the guy who couldn't barely move or talk until he had drunk his morning coffee. Or the other guy who after getting lost in an Alaskan winter, and being found was given a cup of coffee that killed him.

In a warzone being dependant on coffee for energy or concentration can be severely inconvenient if not fatal. Thanks, dad!

It kind of goes without saying, but I could say just about the same about cigarettes and alcohol.

Funny how some of the best things that happen to a person at first seem to be a curse. That was the case in China when I lived there with my parents, brothers and sisters in 2009-2010.

I was working for my Dad, but that wasn't my only occupation. In order to have permission to stay in the country, I needed a visa. The easiest way to get one was to be a student at a local high school and learn Chinese. This meant being in school three days a week at 8AM.

At that time of day in our little city of Hunchun in 2009, we didn't have hot water in our apartment! The options were cold and very cold, depending on the season. I learned to take cold showers in the morning! And I probably have a stronger heart today thanks to this habit. At first it was forced on me, but I learned to enjoy it. How many of you know the adrenaline rush from being doused with cold water? 😁

Knowing how to play penguin came in handy during my time in Bogoyavlenka too.
