You know what fascinated me the most? The Russians aboard, EU countries to be specific. There are up to 4 million Russians in Germany alone, a quarter of Baltic population, and some significant percentage in Poland and Bulgaria.
They could've been quiet, accepted EU "protection" of ethnic minorities (Germans in Denmark, Samagotians in Lithuania, Sami people in Finland), enjoyed free shit, but could still remain corrupt kleptomaniacs they are in blood. All of this could've been a thing if they dropped Neo-Soviet LARP.
