In Russia, a migrant nanny from Uzbekistan killed a child — she was released from the courtroom.

In St. Petersburg, a man and a woman left their child with a 24-year-old illegal migrant from Uzbekistan, Sevincha Abdurasulova. In the evening, she called an ambulance and reported that the child stopped breathing allegedly after taking an antipyretic. Doctors determined that the cause of death was not the use of medicines, but a traumatic brain injury that occurred as a result of the migrant dropping the child in the bathtub while washing.

The child's tolerant father asked to close the case due to reconciliation of the parties. The migrant apologized to him and paid 170 thousand rubles ~ 2 thousand dollars, which suited the man just fine. But the prosecutor's office did not agree with such arguments. The court found the nanny guilty and sentenced her to only one year in a penal colony for the murder of the baby. Taking into account the time she spent in the pretrial detention facility, she has already served her sentence and is now free.
