The Wagner PMC troops continue to push through enemy positions in the southern part of the city. The attack is heading north (towards the centre) and west. And we already have the route to #Konstantinovka under fire control and are in fact less than a kilometre away from it.

As a "nail in the ass" we have the enemy's stronghold at the school of #Opytnoye, so this area is leveled in the morning not only by artillery but also by aviation. Capturing #Opytnoye will greatly untie our hands and allow us to surround the main enemy forces in the central part of the city faster.

⚡️ Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine (19 October 2022)⚡️

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

💥 In the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces have continued launching attacks by high-precision long-range air- and sea-based armament at the military control and energy systems of Ukraine. All the assigned targets have been neutralised.

💥 The Russian troops delivered a fire strike against units of 14th and 92nd Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and foreign mercenaries close to the settlements of Petropavlovka, Peschanoye, and Berestovoye in Kharkov region.

◽️ More than 40 Ukrainian personnel, 4 armoured fighting vehicles, and three pickups were eliminated.

💥 At Krasny Liman direction, the Russian troops successfully impeded the enemy’s efforts to cross the Zherebets River at night close to the settlements of Stelmakhovka, Rozovka, and Raygorodka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

◽️ The Russian troops eliminated more than 30 Ukrainian personnel, three armored fighting vehicles, and two cars.

💥 At Nikolayev–Krivoy Rog direction, the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted missile strikes to engage units of 60th Infantry Brigade and 35th Marine Infantry Brigade of the AFU, as well as units of Foreign Legion close to the city of Nikolayev and the settlements of Novovoskresenskoye, Bezymennoye, and Trifonovka (Kherson region).

◽️ In 24 hours, over 120 Ukrainian personnel and mercenaries, 8 armoured fighting vehicles, and 12 cars have been neutralised.

💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have engaged 7 command posts near the settlements of Metallovka, Dvurechnaya in Kharkov region, Ilyichovka, Toretsk, Yakovlevka, Podgornoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Gulyaypole (Zaporozhye region), as well as 64 artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 156 concentration areas.

◽️ 3 munition depots have been eliminated close to the settlements of Chervona Dolyna in Kharkov region, Novogrigorovka (Zaporozhye region), and Bereznegovatoye (Nikolayev region).

◽️ 2 launching ramps of S-300 Ukrainian air defence system have been destroyed near Kupyansk (Kharkov region) and Novoyelizavetovka (Odessa region).

💥 Within the counterbattery warfare, 2 AFU artillery batteries have been neutralised near Glushovka (Kharkov region), as well as 1 U.S.-manufactured HIMARS MLRS platoon near Drobyshevo (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥 Russian air defence facilities have shot down 1 Su-25 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Trifonovka (Kherson region).

◽️ Moreover, 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down close to the settlements of Chaikino, Sukhanovo, and Kucherskoye (Kherson region), Novoselovka Staromayorskoye, Lugansk of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Popasnaya (Lugansk People’s Republic).

◽️ 11 HIMARS and Olkha MLRS rounds were intercepted, as well as 8 HARM high-speed anti-radiation missiles close to the settlement of Kakhovka (Kherson region).

❗️ The Kiev regime continues its provocations aimed at creating a possible technological disaster at Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

◽️ Today, around 4.00 am, the enemy, with forces of up to two companies, made another attempt to land troops on the left bank of the Kakhovka Reservoir and seize the territory of the nuclear power plant.

◽️ For the landing, the enemy involved 37 motor boats and cutters (12 heavy and 25 light types) with AFU servicemen.

💥 The Russian troops took active actions when guarding the outer perimeter of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant to neutralise the enemy’s landing troops.

◽️ The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to more than 90 Ukrainian personnel and 14 motor boats. The rest of landing group were scattered by artillery fire in the water area of the Kakhovka Reservoir.

💥 In addition, in 24 hours, the AFU artillery fired 13 shells at the northern outskirts of Energodar and the territory adjacent to the nuclear power plant.

◽️ The strikes were carried out from the area close to Marganets, Dnepropetrovsk region, controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

◽️ The hostile firepower has been neutralised by Russian artillery’s counter-attack.

⚠️ There are no casualties and destruction at the station. The radiation environment remains normal.

After the Russian Forces retreated from Davydov Brod in the #Nikolaev - #Berislav direction, the enemy was stopped at the #Bruskinskoye - #Pyatikhatki line.

At one of the erected strongholds, the AFU rotated personnel and delivered there. A drone operator noticed the activitis of the Ukrainian militants. He tracked their movements and opened the position.

Russian artillery struck the identified enemy position in the wooded area. Some of the shells fell close to the cover, but another hit the target.

After the shelling, fire broke out in the AFU position, followed by the detonation of the ammunition stored there. The Ukrainian militants were forced to abandon the stronghold and retreat to the rear.

The commanders of the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 28th Mechanized Rifle Brigade are preparing for an offensive against Russian positions.

▪️ In this context, artillery shells have been delivered to the forward ammunition depots in #Lyubomirovka and #Lymany. And AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radars have been deployed in #Novogrigovka and Kirovo.

#Andreevka - #Berislav Section:

The AFU is restoring combat capability after the failed morning assault.

▪️ The command staff of the 17th Tank Brigade held another meeting in #Ukrainka to plan further actions in the #Kherson direction.

Immediately afterwards, the 1st and 3rd Companies of one of the Compound Battalions were moved to #Chervonoye and #Novogrigorovka, while the remaining units were transferred to the Novaya Kamenka area.

▪️ Due to high Russian aviation activity, Osa SAMs of the AFU 39th Air Defence Regiment were moved to Zolotaya Balka and north of #Dudchany, and man-portable air defence systems (MANPADs) have been deployed in Davydov Brod.

▪️ 22 units of military equipment with personnel, ammunition and fuel have arrived in the #Chervonoye district to replenish the 60th Infantry Brigade of the AFU.

#YURI Civilians’ evacuation started from the right bank of Dnieper to make the Russian logistic easier and allow for the more aggressive actions against the enemy without putting the civilians in danger. #Zaporozhye Direction:

The AFU hit the #Energodar city administration building overnight (18-19 Oct). Ukrainian media traditionally stated that the incident was caused by "self-fire" by the Russian Forces.

We analysed the video in detail and were able to determine that the building was hit by HIMARS MLRS. Judging by the direction of arrival, the missiles were fired from the right bank of the #Kakhovka reservoir from the outskirts of #Marganets.

Based on this, the approximate launch positions of the HIMARS launchers can be determined:

🔎 Rybar's team continues its daily analysis of the consequences of systemic fire strikes on Ukraine's energy system.

🔻 Confirmed strikes:

▪️ #Burshtynskaya TPP - autotransformers struck. Located in the Ivano-Frankovsk region, the TPP supplies power to western Ukraine as well as Transcarpathia and Precarpathia. Depending on the severity of the damage, the entire southwest of the country could face significant power shortages.

▪️ #Ladyzhinskaya TPP - the facility was hit by three missiles, the exact extent of the damage is unknown. Together with the cascade on the #Dnipro River, the TPP feeds the entire south-west of the country, and a complete failure of the facility would increase the load on the grid and lead to power shortages in the region.

🔻 On Power Cuts:

Ukrainian authorities have announced rolling blackouts across all regions for 20 October, which will last from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. People have been urged to cut electricity consumption as much as possible. Street lighting will also be limited.

According to the deputy head of the presidential office, Kirill Timoshenko, if the power consumption is not reduced, it will be necessary to switch to temporary blackouts. First of all, businesses should reduce electricity consumption.

The Ukrainian energy system is experiencing a shortage of both generating and transmitting capacities. Autotransformers at substations and thermal power plants have been hit. And hydropower plants appear to have been switched to maximum electricity generation, but there is nothing to compensate for morning and evening consumption peaks.

🔻 So far it is impossible to confirm the degree of damage to the energy system at 30-40%, as #Kiev claims. However, the damage has already been quite severe, although not enough to cause a complete collapse.

The 750kV and 330kV switchgear of the remaining three NPPs could cause critical damage to the energy system fairly quickly. But they would also have a strong political cost.

Continued strikes on substations and thermal power plants would achieve the same effect. However, they would require more time and more missiles.

◽️ The enemy succeeded in wedging into the defence of Russian units near Sukhanovo (Kherson region).

◽️ Russian command that involved armoured reserve forces and organised ambush operation that caused considerable casualties among enemy units and made Ukrainian units to escape disorderly.

◽️ The positions along the frontline have been completely recovered.

◽️ Over 200 Ukrainian personnel, 14 tanks, 16 armoured fighting vehicles and 7 motor vehicles have been eliminated at the abovementioned direction.

◽️ 3 tanks, 1 infantry fighting vehicle and 1 UR-77 mine action system have been captured as trophies.

◽️ 18 Ukrainian personnel have surrendered.
