🔺 The final decision—to defend the city of Kherson—has been made, largely thanks to General Surovikin and his strategic talent. It is no longer up for discussion. Surovikin and his command staff will be directly in charge of the Kherson operation.

The grouping of the Russian Armed Forces around Kherson has been significantly increased and reinforced in line with the current combat situation. All power structures in the city are in place.

All strategic directions and transport arteries leading to Kherson—on the Nikolayev, Krivoy Rog and Nikopol routes—are fully controlled by the RF Armed Forces.

🔷 During the past 24 hours, the enemy made several attempts at reconnaissance-in-force using battalion-tactical grouping (BTGs) and each time suffered significant losses and retreated.

It is known with certainty that, according to the strategy of the Ukrainian General Staff, the Ukrainian army plans to gather a grouping of forces numbering up to 45,000 people along the directions of the coming offensive, conducting a simultaneous strike in three directions.

The implementation of this plan is complicated by poor mobilization results, i.e. lack of personnel, complete demoralization of the existing mobilized troops from the AFU reserve, lack of supply of new weapons and insufficient complement of existing equipment, and weather conditions.

Under current weather conditions, the terrain on the outskirts of Kherson turns into mud traps. At the same time, it is very difficult for the AFU and its logistics units to move along the roads [because of Russian artillery]. And the farther into winter, the harder the logistics become.

All the so-called "tactical plans" of the General Staff of the AFU today involve the usual stalling for time. A simulacrum of an offensive is being carried out, into which untrained mobilized people freshly recruited from the streets are thrown in.

The enemy is heavily stretched along the front, forced to use foreign mercenaries on the main lines, which mercenaries in turn refuse to fight as infantry, causing many conflicts between them and the national battalions—in disputes over the right to hide behind the backs of untrained AFU soldiers of the 50+ age category.

Although the general picture on the line of contact near Kherson suggests that an offensive by the AFU is imminent, the operational and tactical situation today is generally stable. The enemy wants to take Kherson, this is currently the only real and tangible goal of the AFU General Staff, and it has less and less time to siphon financial aid from Western partners.

The Russian Army, in turn, is ready to defend the city of Kherson and to further develop tactical success, if appropriate—to counter-attack in the direction of Nikolayev-Odessa.

🩸 Interim Conclusions:

After the large-scale strikes against Ukrainian power plants on Saturday, electricity supply was restored everywhere by Wednesday, albeit with rather severe restrictions.

▪️ The main strikes took place in the centre and west of the country, where the restrictions on electricity consumption were the greatest.

▪️ In Kharkov, for example, the underground escalators could be put into operation because the deficit caused by the shocks was not so large.

▪️ However, it would be fundamentally wrong to claim that the strikes have passed without a trace and that their consequences have been completely overcome.

▪️ The transfer of power to the remaining autotransformers leads to their overload during peak loads and emergencies. This leads to the triggering of automatic emergency power systems and repeated disconnections of consumers.

This may explain the numerous complaints from consumers that rolling blackout plans are not being adhered to and there is no power even though it should be there according to the plan.

▪️ To be fair, the Ukrainian energy sector is doing everything in its power to stabilise the situation, and the rolling blackouts are designed to even out consumption peaks in the morning and evening. But it is already clear that this is clearly not enough.

🚨 We are under no illusion that the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian authorities will appreciate the humanism of the Russian authorities in choosing targets for the attacks. We are and remain enemies for them.

Therefore, the attacks, if they take place, must be carried out with maximum efficiency, taking out not the power conversion plants but the substations (SCPs).

Only by attacking them can a substation be completely knocked out without destroying the high-voltage equipment.

Otherwise, the effect, as we are doing now, would take too long.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in #Starobelsk Direction until 14:00 on 27 Oct 2022⚡️

#Kupyansk Sector:

Units of the 14th AFU Mechanized Brigade tried to storm #Nikolaevka and #Orlyanka with the artillery support.

▪️ During the fighting, Russian troops pushed the 14th Brigade forces off the line with massive fire from MLRS. The enemy lost more than a dozen men, one tank, six armoured fighting vehicles and three pickup trucks.

Formations of the 14th Brigade consolidated a few kilometres west of #Orlyanka and are preparing for advance further.

#Svatovo Sector

The command of the 71st AFU Jager Brigade moved one of its units across #Zherebets. After the regrouping by the forces of one BTGr, an attack was launched in the direction of #Chervonopopovka.

▪️ The Russian soldiers repulsed the assault and forced the units of the 71st Brigade to retreat to their initial positions, destroying several tanks and armoured fighting vehicles.

▪️ An AFU manoeuvre Signals Intelligence Team arrived in the vicinity west of #Raygorodka to conduct electronic reconnaissance.

#Lyman Sector:

▪️ Combined assault groups of the 2nd Battalion of the 66th Mechanized Brigade and two companies of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the AFU attempted to storm the Russian positions east of #Torskoye. The attack was repulsed.

▪️ After the failure of the assault, the command of the AFU Lyman Operation Task Group intends to conduct a simultaneous offensive from two directions. The 2nd Battalion of the 25th Airborne Brigade from the area 4 km northeast of #Terny and two companies of the 95th Airborne Brigade from area 6.5 km east of #Nevskoye.

▪️ In parallel, the AFU wants to activate the 119th and 131st Battalion Assault Groups of the 111th Territorial Defence Brigade from the height 156.7, and the 15th Regiment of the Ukrainian National Guard from the area 11 km east of #Torskoye to approach #Kremennaya from the south.

#Lysychansk Sector:

An AFU assault company, reinforced by four tanks and three BMPs, attempted to entrench near #Belogorovka. The attack was repulsed and the enemy retreated to the #Grigorovka area.

#Nikolaev - #Berislav Area:

▪️ AFU artillery units indiscriminately shelled the areas of Zelyony Gay, Ternovye Pody, #Kiselevka and #Petrovskoye.

▪️ A mortar battery of the 3rd Battalion of the 28th AFU Mechanized Brigade has been deployed near the Verkhny Khablovsky Lighthouse and is shelling Russian positions in #Aleksandrovka.

#Andreevka Sector:

The AFU has moved a company of the 3rd Battalion of the 46th Aeromobile Brigade to a stronghold 4km southeast of Davydov Brod.

▪️ Over the past 24 hours, 32 pieces of military equipment were transferred to the left bank of the #Ingulets River via the crossings in #Ternovka and Bolshoe Artakovo, 27 pieces in the opposite direction.

#Berislav Area:

A meeting of tactical commanders was held at the command and observation post of the 96th Battalion of the 60th AFU Infantry Brigade in #Novonikolaevka to discuss plans for further operations.

▪️ UAV reconnaissance teams of the 97th Battalion of the 60th Separate Infantry Brigade conduct reconnaissance of Russian positions on the #Pyatikhatka - #Polyanka line.

▪️ A platoon of the AFU Territorial Defence has been moved to reinforce the positions of the 9th Composite Battalion in #Chervonoye and #Novoaleksandrovka. And three companies of the 129th Territorial Defence Brigade arrived in Zolotaya Balka.

▪️ Due to heavy losses, the 15th Battalion of the 128th AFU Mountain Assault Brigade was withdrawn from the area north of #Dudchany to the training range in #Apostolovo. The units of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade will be manned and completed with mobilised personnel and sent into a two to three week combat adjustment.

▪️ An Ukrainian AN/TPQ-50 radar station has been deployed near Novaya Kamenka to conduct counter-battery warfare and detect Russian artillery positions.
