#YURI Two days of Russian strikes have brought Ukraine to the brink of energy collapse, forcing the Kiev regime to discharge the reservoirs to power hydro-plants, in order to prevent the rolling black-outs. And the reservoirs weren’t nearly full after a dry summer, but the water is being spent anyway. Today, the intensity of strikes diminished for some reason.
Yuri considers that the enemy is preparing a large-scale attack in Zaporozhye direction, while maintaining a distraction activity elsewhere. The attacks there have been repelled with significant losses for the enemy, but they didn’t seem like a serious attempt of an offensive. The Russian command is well-aware of the danger in Zaporozhye. It is not clear whether the enemy takes the risk of attacking there, with the autumn rains already beginning.

▪️ The Russian Forces carried out at least three strikes using a Geran-2 UAV against a logistics terminal in the Buchansky district of the #Kiev region, where foreign military equipment might have been present.
According to some reports, one of the kamikaze drones was shot down on the border of the #Kiev and #Zhytomyr regions.
▪️ Ukrainian militants again attempted to shell #Belgorod Region. As a result of an air defence strike, debris from one of the missiles fell on a residential block of flats.

▪️ A spot artillery strike by the Russian Armed Forces with the targeting of a UAV in Posad-Pokrovskoye hit the firing position of a 120mm mortar crew.
#Andreevka Section:
▪️ A company of the 137th Battalion of the AFU´s 35th Marine Brigade attempted to entrench itself three km north of #Ishchanka. The Ukrainian positions were shelled with barrel and rocket artillery. The surviving militants were evacuated to Davydov Brod under tank cover.
▪️ Forward gunners of the 46th Airmobile Brigade conducted a sortie in the area of the #Borozenskoye and #Bezvodnoye settlements. AFU army aviation helicopters fired on the identified positions.
#Berislav Section:
▪️ The command of the 60th Infantry Division put units on full alert ahead of the offensive. A brigade artillery group of the 60th Brigade is firing indiscriminately at #Pyatikhatki and #Borozenskoye.

After regrouping and levelling the frontline in the #Nikolaev - #KrivoyRog direction, the Russian Forces have established defences south of Davydov Brod. A new entrenchment was built near #Sadok village.
On 9 October, the positions of the 38th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade were attacked by AFU armoured vehicles.
Thanks to the competent efforts of Russian motorized riflemen, three tanks, five BMPs and an enemy observation post were destroyed in an ambush.
The footage shows the defeat and destruction of YPR-765, BMP-1 and T-72M1. The Russian soldiers from the Far East cleverly used the terrain, ambushed the enemy in a wooded area and destroyed the enemy's equipment with RPGs and ATGMs.
Drones also played a major role in repelling the attack, as they had detected in advance the advance of the AFU units and corrected their fire from the air. The enemy offensive failed.

GB: A note on the news of voluntary evacuation of civilians from Kherson on the right (west) bank of the Dnepr river.
As previously posted and explained on @Slavyangrad in relation to Svatovo, the recent practice of voluntary evacuations is not an indicator of immediate (or even intermediate-term) threat to the cities being evacuated by the Russian authorities. On the contrary, it is evidence of the Russian authorities learning from experience to realize that cities are better and easier defended with fewer civilians and that no territory is worth civilian lives—the opposite to the methods practiced by the Ukrainian regime.
As can easily be seen from the map, the action is still very far from Kherson itself. While the Ukrainian offensive from the Andreevka/Davydov Brod bridgehead and toward Dudchany has now stalled, the city in the most danger—such as it is—of seeing direct clashes is Novaya Kakhovka, not Kherson.
Nonetheless, the Ukrainians shell Kherson daily, with howitzer and MLRS (HIMARS) artillery. In the circumstances, the fewer civilian remain on the right (west) bank of the Dnepr river, the fewer of them will die. The fewer of them also will be in the way of the defence of the city in the very unlikely (but not entirely amenable to being ruled out) event of clashes taking places in close proximity to the regional centre of Russia's Kherson Oblast.
Accordingly, the move to announce a voluntary evacuation from Kherson—in the circumstance where much of the city is being supplied by ferries and is subjected to constant shelling from afar by the Ukrainian Terrorist Forces—is a wise and timely move. The Russian Army should be focused on supplying the troops defending the Kherson Oblast, not the civilians who would be much safer further from the front lines.

Ukrainian Reserves at Artyomovsk (Bakhmut)
The reserves the Ukrainian Armed Forces has rushed to Bakhmut turned out to be so fresh that they had to be trained "on the fly." An improvised base and firing range was set up at a fishing pier near Stake 8 (in the village of Khromovo), on the south-western outskirts of Artemovsk. The level of preparedness of the enemy reinforcements leaves much to be desired.
The Ukrainian forces operating near Bakhmut today:
The 58th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Hetman Ivan Vygovskiy (from Konotop, in the Sumy region) was once considered to be the most combat-ready unit of the AFU. The unit has deserted almost in its entirety.
The 125th "Lvovskaya" Territorial Defence Brigade has been exsanguinated, reserves to replenish are now being trained on accelerated schedule in fortified areas outside the city.
The 26th Separate Artillery Brigade (from Berdichev), part of the 8th Ukrainian Army, is understaffed by 60%.
The 25th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade (from Novomoskovsk) was crushed near Novobakhmutovka and has been re-staffed with reservists.
The 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade (from Nikolaev) was crushed at Soledar, suffering up to 80% casualties, and has been re-staffed with mercenaries from Poland, Romania, Britain, and the USA.
The 81st Separate Airborne Assault Brigade (from Druzhkovka) is now the most combat-ready Ukrainian unit of all of those listed above. It was battered by Russian Armed Forces' strikes on the settlement of Nikolayevka. It participated in fighting near Krasny Liman.

An improvised base and firing range was set up at a fishing pier near Stake 8 (in the village of Khromovo), on the south-western outskirts of Artemovsk. The level of preparedness of the enemy reinforcements leaves much to be desired.
The Ukrainian forces operating near Bakhmut today:
The 58th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Hetman Ivan Vygovskiy (from Konotop, in the Sumy region) was once considered to be the most combat-ready unit of the AFU. The unit has deserted almost in its entirety.
The 125th "Lvovskaya" Territorial Defence Brigade has been exsanguinated, reserves to replenish are now being trained on accelerated schedule in fortified areas outside the city.
The 26th Separate Artillery Brigade (from Berdichev), part of the 8th Ukrainian Army, is understaffed by 60%.
The 25th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade (from Novomoskovsk) was crushed near Novobakhmutovka and has been re-staffed with reservists.
The 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade (from Nikolaev) was crushed at Soledar, suffering up to 80% casualties, and has been re-staffed with mercenaries from Poland, Romania, Britain, and the USA.
The 81st Separate Airborne Assault Brigade (from Druzhkovka) is now the most combat-ready Ukrainian unit of all of those listed above. It was battered by Russian Armed Forces' strikes on the settlement of Nikolayevka. It participated in fighting near Krasny Liman.

The Russian Armed Forces have continued shelling infrastructure and military facilities in #Ukraine. A logistics terminal in #Nalivaykovka in #Kiev Region, which allegedly housed a warehouse of lend-lease weapons and equipment, was hit.
Several explosions occurred in #Zolochev in #Lvov Region and other regions of western #Ukraine.
#Russian Federation Border Territories:
▪️ In the afternoon, the AFU shelled #Belgorod again. Air defence intercepted the targets, but the wreckage of one of the missiles fell on the roof of a multi-storey building.
At the same time the enemy struck an ammunition depot in the village of #Oktyabrsky. Another strike hit the #Shebekino border crossing.
There were no civilian casualties.
▪️ In the #Kursk region, Ukrainian militants hit an electrical transformer near the villages of #Tetkino and Popovo-Lezhachi, disabling both for several hours. The enemy also shelled #Guevo and damaged several civilian buildings.
#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):
▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, the AFU grouping, consisting of the 14th Mechanized Brigade and the 32nd Separate Combined Battalion of the Territorial Defence tried to storm Russian army positions on the #Kislovka - #Pershotravnevoye line, but suffered losses and withdrew.
▪️ Units of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade tried to entrench near #Kotlyarovka, but also retreated with losses. During the day, the AFU in the #Kupyansk sector lost about 50 personnel and 10 pieces of equipment .
▪️ In the #Lyman - #Svatovo section, Ukrainian formations are still gathering forces for an attack towards #Kremennaya. Near #Ternov a large combined grouping of several battalions of the AFU and AFU Territorial Defence has been formed.

▪️ There are no significant changes to the front line, the AFU is preparing for a Russian offensive on #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk).
#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ Ukrainian militants once again shelled #Donetsk, #Yasinovataya, #Gorlovka, #Makeevka and other surrounding settlements.
#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ In #Zaporozhye region, the enemy is preparing for a large-scale counterattack along the entire front line. The sides are engaged in artillery duels on the line of contact. Russian Forces have carried out several strikes on AFU facilities in #Zaporozhye.
#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on the Southern Front (MAP):
▪️ AFU Personnel are rotated at the Posad-Pokrovskoye section in #Zara and #Lyubomovka. In Posad-Pokrovskoye itself, the AFU has set up ammunition depots.
▪️ In the #Andreevka sector, units of the AFU 35th Separate Marines Brigade tried to entrench themselves 3 kilometres north of #Ishchenka, but came under artillery fire from Russian Forces and retreated to Davydov Brod.
▪️ Enemy aircraft also carried out strikes near #Borozenskoye and #Bezvodnoye.
▪️ In the #Berislav area, the forces of the AFU 60th Separate Infantry Brigade on the #Novogrigoryevka - Novaya Kamenka line are put on alert to attack positions of Russian Forces.
▪️ Russian Forces captured several enemy soldiers during combat reconnaissance near Sukhoy Stavok.
