5G Is Causing Problems For Pilots

January 19th of this year marked the rollout of 5G cellular service in the United States, utilizing the C-band range of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum (3.7 to 3.98 megahertz). Big telecom companies paid $80B in an auction earlier this year for the license to use these spectrums.
The auction was a “roaring success” for the government, wrote MoffettNathanson analyst Craig Moffett, as it “raised more money for the U.S. Treasury, by far, than any auction before it.”
This frequencies overlap with the ones used by aircraft altimeters, and groups like the RTCA concluded that 5G "will cause harmful interference to radar altimeters on all types of civil aircraft ... including the possibility of catastrophic failures leading to multiple fatalities, in the absence of appropriate mitigations"
Its important to note that altimeters are used for critical safety systems like terrain avoidance warning systems, enhanced ground proximity warning systems, and automatic flight controls.
Now an IEEE analysis of pilot complaints made to NASA's Aviation Safety Reporting System shows a massive rise in failing altimeters.
Between January and May, there were 93 reports of faulty or failing radar altimeters, where a normal year might see only a handful.
Almost immediately, complaints began rolling into NASA. On their first flight to San Francisco after 5G was switched on, one pilot was horrified when their plane’s speed brakes unexpectedly activated before touchdown. “With over 18,000 hours as Captain of Boeing airliners…I’ve never had the auto speedbrakes deploy uncommanded before ground contact,” they wrote. “While I operate in the 5G environment, I have no intention on being the first to make a 5G landing.”
“I've been flying an aircraft with a radar altimeter for years and never once have I seen a malfunction such as this until the 5G turn on,” wrote another pilot in Florida, whose altimeter fluctuated between -90 and 400 feet prior to takeoff. “Coincidence? Probably not.”
It is true that the FAA does now have a specific online radio-altimeter anomaly reporting form, that it asks pilots and other aviation personnel to complete. The FAA would not share the full details of these reports, but it did provide high-level data that indicates it has received around 550 such submissions since January.
The agency has reviewed over half of the reports, and was unable to rule out 5G interference in around 80 incidents. Contrary to the ASRS reports, none of the interference events identified by the FAA had any safety-related system impacts, affecting direct aircraft control inputs such as auto-throttle or speed brakes. The FAA has concluded that the mitigations it had agreed with wireless providers “are working.” In June, it agreed with the carriers to extend those mitigations for another year.

🚨BREAKING: Court Grants Missouri & Louisiana Request to Depose Dr. Fauci, Other Biden Officials in Relation to Collusion with Big Tech to Suppress Free Speech
🇺🇸@COVID19Up: Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt announced on Friday (Oct. 21) that the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana granted Missouri and Louisiana’s request for depositions from top-ranking officials in the federal government.
This is movement in his lawsuit against top-ranking Biden Administration officials for allegedly colluding to suppress freedom of speech. The list of granted depositions includes Dr. Anthony Fauci, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Director of White House Digital Strategy Rob Flaherty, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, CISA Director Jen Easterly, and FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan.
The original lawsuit was filed by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry on May 5, 2022. Missouri and Louisiana filed a Motion for Expedited Preliminary Injunction-Related Discovery on June 17, 2022, and that motion was granted on July 12, 2022, clearing the way for Missouri and Louisiana to gather discovery and documents from Biden Administration officials and social media companies.
“After finding documentation of a collusive relationship between the Biden Administration and social media companies to censor free speech, we immediately filed a motion to get these officials under oath,” said Schmitt.
“It is high time we shine a light on this censorship enterprise and force these officials to come clean to the American people, and this ruling will allow us to do just that. We’ll keep pressing for the truth.”
