If you follow my work, or received the previous emails you know that during The Greater Reset 4, my partner, Miriam Gomez, and I announced to the world our plan to create an ecovillage in Mexico known as The Conscious Agora!
The long-term idea is that TCA will be a network of communities united by respect for individual liberty, permaculture principles, and mindfulness. Our goal is to be a model for other Freedom communities around the world.
Together with The Freedom Cell Network, The Conscious Agora community network will help launch the parallel systems and networks that are necessary to thrive outside of the Technocratic State control grid.
We made the announcement at TGR4 and have been crowdfunding the last 3 weeks, seeking support from the international Freedom movement to get this first Conscious Agora off the ground! So far we have raised more than $12,000 USD!
Together with our own money, and support from other potential investors, AND your help, we are going to make this a reality!

Developers & Artists Sue AI Platforms

Two new events in AI legality occurred last week.
First, GitHub & Microsoft moved to dismiss an lawsuit filed by two anonymous software engineers (who knew that lawsuits could be anonymous) against their product CoPilot for 'software piracy'.
If you've been following the case then you know that GitHub released an AI programming tool called CoPilot, which trained on software projects stored on Github.
Many (over 700,000) of these projects contained software licenses (GPL) that required any derivative works to grant the same rights. However the CoPilot AI programming tool does not offer the same right, is not open-source, and charges for the service.
The plaintiffs, by contrast, label the defendants’ actions as “software piracy on an unprecedented scale” and seek over $9 billion in damages. They claim that without consent, authorization, or licensure, the defendants used the plaintiffs’ and putative class members’ software code stored in a GitHub repository code to build and train Copilot.
The suit states claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the Lanham Act, the business practice, consumer protection, and privacy laws of California as well as for tortious conduct in connection with the defendants’ alleged mishandling of data.

Second, artists filed a lawsuit against Stability AI and Midjourney, two of the leading AI art generation platforms claiming copyright infringement.
Previously, the suit said that “[o]nly a very small number of incredibly talented artists are capable of this same feat for a single other artist (i.e., reproducing art that is convincingly in that artist’s style), let alone for countless other artists.” By contrast the artists accuse the AI image products of now doing so with ease, thereby violating the rights of millions of artist-class members.
Should these AI tools be free for everyone to use if they use public work?

I am Running for Mayor of Houston
Friends,
You may have heard I am running for Mayor of Houston.
Before I go further and tell you why and what I plan to do, let me say that if you have no interest in hearing about my Mayoral campaign, and only want to continue to get updates on The Conscious Resistance etc, then read no further!
However, if you want to get updates on the Broze for Mayor campaign - especially if you live in Houston - please sign up to this new email list for the campaign!
First things first, no I am not changing my views or perspectives. No, I don't plan to become a politician, and no I don't have any desire to become part of the machine. I ran for Mayor of Houston in 2019 and it didn't change me into a politician or erase my efforts I've made over the last 13 years as an activist and journalist.
Rather, I believe that my skillset, my ability to communicate intelligently, eloquently, and effectively makes me a danger to the establishment and their political cronies.
Also, this does not effect The Conscious Agora and my effort to build community in Mexico. That's still happening no matter what.
Now, allow me a moment to tell you why I - an anarchist who believes in focusing on Exit and Build, creating parallel systems etc - would run for office.
I am running because the city has been taken over by corrupt career politicians. To fix this we must make sure the power of the Mayor is given back to the council. I was the only candidate who made taking away the power of the Mayor a central part of their campaign in 2019 and I am doing so again.
I am running a campaign that will have something to say about local issues like flooding, but we will once again come up with creative ways to deal with them that do not involve government waste and taxes.
While I will speak about local issues, I also am going to run a campaign that recognizes that as the 4th largest city in the United States, Houstonians should also be paying attention to geopolitics.
Mayor Sylvester Turner and local politicians like Lina Hidalgo are beholden to the Democrat Party and pushing The Great Reset, Agenda 2030 propaganda. Hidalgo is linked to the billionare family The Arnold’s. The City of Houston needs to end relationships with international, globalist organizations and focus on the people of Houston.
Mayor Turner has spent 8 years taking steps to turn Houston into a Smart City and working with organizations which are pushing Agenda 2030, UN SDG policies. I reject these policies.
Additionally, Mayor Turner, the Houston Health Director and others did a horrible job responding to COVID19. The only reason they did not enact more strict measures was because of Governor Greg Abbott.
No other candidate in the Mayoral race is going to be willing to call out the insanity of the last 3 years, but me. I am the only candidate wanting to take away the power of the Mayor’s office, I am the only one who was warning about vaxx mandates in 2019, and I am the only one who is willing to legitimately change the politics of City Hall.

F-Droid Gets Faster Repo Updates with New Repository Format

Ever wait forever for F-Droid to 'load' its apps? That's because F-Droid is loading its repository index, which includes a list of all 4056 apps and their metadata (including where to connect to download them).
Good news, F-Droid has just released (March 1st) version 1.16 of the F-Droid client that uses a new repository format. The new app will determine what has changed and download the 'difference' files which contain only the changes. This means you are downloading a file 1/100th of the size.
I just tested the speed differences, the download went from 3 minutes to a few seconds.

You know what would be an effective way to stop spam on Telegram?
Forwarding every spam message to the volunteer support or official telegram support. Feels like we are always playing whack-a-mole with banning each individual spam account, we should just be going after the channels that they create - since it feels like dozens of bots try to contribute membership towards a single channel. Ban a channel and those bots lose their reason to post. I dont think Telegram is effectively handling spam by going after channels.
Volunteer support would quickly get overwhelmed with the amount, but perhaps telegram could make a new channel for spam support.

This webinar was over an hour long and had 15 different sections. We talked about the risks of using cloud password managers, and why a local password manager could be better. Then we walked through how to setup Keepass, an offline password manager with apps on your phone and computer. Lastly, we setup 2FA (two-factor authentication) with Aegis, an open-source 2FA app - demonstrating the process for using both these apps by setting up a Presearch account.

Over the last year I've noticed how many people in the "Truth/Freedom" communities only experience this through the internet. They make no effort to connect with people in the real world. Also, they are content with preaching to the choir. My goal has always been to reach more people.
When I woke up in late 2009 my goal from the beginning was always to reach people, to not feel alone, and to focus on solutions. I have organized protests, rallies, built community gardens, hosted radio shows, confronted politicians, written books, produced documentaries, and yes, even run for office to reach people.
Anyone who knows my work - & understands my strategic approach - knows I have no desire to be a politician. But I know I am capable of communicating effectively & intelligently, that's not a skill all content creator/journos have. I'll continue to do that to the best of my ability.
So, yes, I am running for Mayor of Houston.I am going to be on TV, radio, and confronting the other establishment politicians, and calling out the media for COVID1984, all while I have the eyes and ears of the 4th largest city in the USA. I hijack their system to inject truth for 8 months.
If you don't support this effort or think I am a "grifter","sell out" etc (all words I have been called lately), just wait until after November and see that I am still the same person fighting for liberty I have been for 13 years.
To those who get it, thanks for the consistent support.

Is the WTFPL a valid license?
Although the validity of the WTFPL has not been tested in courts, it is widely accepted as a valid license. Every major Linux distribution (Debian, Fedora, Arch, Gentoo, etc.) ships software licensed under the WTFPL, version 1 or 2. Bradley Kuhn (executive director of the Free Software Foundation) was quoted saying that the FSF’s folks agree the WTFPL is a valid free software license.
Isn’t this license basically public domain?
Unfortunately, the definition of public domain varies with the jurisdictions, and it is in some places debatable whether someone who has not been dead for the last seventy years is ennoscriptd to put their own work in the public domain.
