The May 16th release of GrapheneOS introduced a new feature, Contact Scopes. This offers a way for users to only allow a subset of contacts to be shared with the app in question. Perfect for protecting your contact information from apps like Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp, and I'm sure countless others.

Contact Scopes
GrapheneOS provides Contact Scopes as an alternative to granting the Contacts permission. By default, it acts as if the contacts list is empty and users can grant different kinds of access to specific contacts or groups of contacts.

You may remember GrapheneOS was the first to release Storage Scopes, which helped trick apps into thinking it had all the storage permissions it needed to work properly.

Privacy activists in 2013 created 'Camover', a game that rewarded points for taking down as many CCTV cameras as possible. Participants concealed their identities and went around stickering, painting, and breaking cameras.

The website was taken down soon after but the main blog remains. https://camover.noblogs.org/

Check out one of their runs, I get a 'bank heist' type of vibe from the operation, and its hilarious to watch them lift up one person who hammers the actual camera.

⚡️The Better Way Conference & FC UK Tour!

You may already know I just spent 2 weeks in the UK! It was my first time there and it shattered my preconceptions of the place. I was blown away by the support and energy in the Freedom Movement.

The Better Way Conference was a wonderful time, I got to share some thoughts, meet some of my personal heroes, and learn way too much new stuff. I'll be publishing my talks over the next few days, and the @wch_org has been dripping out clips! I definitely recommend you look into some of the speakers and check out their work.

Secondly, the Freedom Cell Network UK Tour was a blast. I could never have expected the turnout in London and in Bristol! We have friends on every side of the earth. Derrick, Miriam, and I got to share the message with so many new people, and get to hear their stories, and strategies that they've been using to live freely. I will have a clip of my talk in London coming out soon!

Its easy to get locked into your bubble of the internet. Traveling is what makes me realize:

Even thousands of miles away, we are together. Even with the resources we have, we are in power. We get closer to finding ourselves and each other every single day. I am eternally grateful to be living through these times.

Earlier today, developers of Damus received notice their app would be removed from the Apple App Store. Damus is a client for the Nostr social network protocol. It has a tipping feature which Apple speculated could be used for users to buy content from content creators. Any in-app purchase in the Apple ecosystem is subject to a 30% commission by Apple.,

⚡️ Racehorses Dying From Intense Wireless Radiation?

A new report by Arthur Firstenberg sheds light on the recent racehorse deaths at Churchill Downs. 12 horses have already died, many from serious injuries to their legs, broken bones, and some collapsing or crashing.

Could the wireless horse monitoring installed on April 29th, 2023 have something to do with it?

This STRIDESafe device monitors the horse’s movements 2,400 times per second throughout the race, sending 2,400 pulses of radio frequency (RF) radiation every second through the body of the horse. It also contains a GPS component that communicates with global positioning satellites.

It also communicates with the RFID chip implanted in the left side of every horse’s neck, ensuring that the chip also emits radiation throughout the race.

And because every racehorse wears horseshoes made of aluminum, which is one of the best conductors, the frequencies that are conducted from both the STRIDESafe device and the RFID chip throughout the horse’s body are absorbed and reradiated by its four shoes. Each horse, then, carries not one but six continuously radiating antennas throughout each race at Churchill Downs.

So with 14 horses normally competing in each race, there are 84 antennas among animals in close proximity to one another running around the track.
