Let's take a poll - I'm feeling inspired by Dr. Ernst Wynder who was one of the first doctors to release an observational 'case control' study to identify the relationship between people with Lung Cancer and heavy tobacco use. Dr. Wynder interviewed 600+ patients in hospitals to get their backstory and found that the vast majority of Lung Cancer patients were heavy tobacco smokers. He followed this with a landmark study establishing a causal link between tobacco tar and cancer in rats.
The tobacco industry responded with their own PR campaign downplaying the concerns. Is EMF the new Tobacco? Let's make our own observations.

I've stepped down as lead developer of GrapheneOS and will be replaced as a GrapheneOS Foundation director. I'll be ending my use of public social media. I'm unable to handle the escalating level of harassment including recent swatting attacks. There will be a smooth migration.
I'm confident the project will be in good hands with the rest of the development team. I'll be training them to handle everything I used to do myself. I haven't been a particularly active developer for a while now and there will be little impact on ongoing feature development.

Privacy activists in 2013 created 'Camover', a game that rewarded points for taking down as many CCTV cameras as possible. Participants concealed their identities and went around stickering, painting, and breaking cameras.
The website was taken down soon after but the main blog remains. https://camover.noblogs.org/
Check out one of their runs, I get a 'bank heist' type of vibe from the operation, and its hilarious to watch them lift up one person who hammers the actual camera.

You may already know I just spent 2 weeks in the UK! It was my first time there and it shattered my preconceptions of the place. I was blown away by the support and energy in the Freedom Movement.
The Better Way Conference was a wonderful time, I got to share some thoughts, meet some of my personal heroes, and learn way too much new stuff. I'll be publishing my talks over the next few days, and the @wch_org has been dripping out clips! I definitely recommend you look into some of the speakers and check out their work.
Secondly, the Freedom Cell Network UK Tour was a blast. I could never have expected the turnout in London and in Bristol! We have friends on every side of the earth. Derrick, Miriam, and I got to share the message with so many new people, and get to hear their stories, and strategies that they've been using to live freely. I will have a clip of my talk in London coming out soon!
Its easy to get locked into your bubble of the internet. Traveling is what makes me realize:
Even thousands of miles away, we are together. Even with the resources we have, we are in power. We get closer to finding ourselves and each other every single day. I am eternally grateful to be living through these times.

Earlier today, developers of Damus received notice their app would be removed from the Apple App Store. Damus is a client for the Nostr social network protocol. It has a tipping feature which Apple speculated could be used for users to buy content from content creators. Any in-app purchase in the Apple ecosystem is subject to a 30% commission by Apple.,

A new report by Arthur Firstenberg sheds light on the recent racehorse deaths at Churchill Downs. 12 horses have already died, many from serious injuries to their legs, broken bones, and some collapsing or crashing.
Could the wireless horse monitoring installed on April 29th, 2023 have something to do with it?
This STRIDESafe device monitors the horse’s movements 2,400 times per second throughout the race, sending 2,400 pulses of radio frequency (RF) radiation every second through the body of the horse. It also contains a GPS component that communicates with global positioning satellites.
It also communicates with the RFID chip implanted in the left side of every horse’s neck, ensuring that the chip also emits radiation throughout the race.
And because every racehorse wears horseshoes made of aluminum, which is one of the best conductors, the frequencies that are conducted from both the STRIDESafe device and the RFID chip throughout the horse’s body are absorbed and reradiated by its four shoes. Each horse, then, carries not one but six continuously radiating antennas throughout each race at Churchill Downs.
So with 14 horses normally competing in each race, there are 84 antennas among animals in close proximity to one another running around the track.

The good news is that "only" a minority of younger American adults favor Big Brother-style surveillance of our home life. The bad news is that we're discussing this because it's a disturbingly large share supporting such a totalitarian intrusion. Worse, the idea seems to be gaining acceptance. We either need to get a handle on what's going on here, or else potentially suffer lives monitored by unblinking eyes of the state, imposed by popular demand.
Among Gen Z, 29 Percent Love Big Brother
"Americans under the age of 30 stand out when it comes to 1984‐style in‐home government surveillance cameras. 3 in 10 (29 percent) Americans under 30 favor 'the government installing surveillance cameras in every household' in order to 'reduce domestic violence, abuse, and other illegal activity,'" the Cato Institute's Emily Ekins and Jordan Gygi wrote last week. "Support declines with age, dropping to 20 percent among 30–44 year olds and dropping considerably to 6 percent among those over the age of 45."
The survey in question focused on central bank digital currencies (CBDCs)—government-sponsored alternatives to such digital money as bitcoin. CBDCs would offer the convenience of digital payments, but potentially without privacy protections, and could empower the state to control what people buy and sell.

TechRights released a new investigation on The Linux Foundation.
One would say this foundation isn't a real representative of Linux and its collection of values. However it owns the Trademark to Linux and it funds the development of Linus Torvalds. It also serves as a vehicle for corporations to push their interest in the Linux kernel by giving them representation on the board. Community representation was removed in 2016.
Based on IRS filings we can see the foundation brings in 100M+ a year, but what exactly do they spend the money on?
