Recently tried productivity technique called “time boxing”.
It helped me to keep healthy flow in my productivity, life and leisure.
Problem: I used to get stuck on working on one task until I finish it.
Last time I was preparing tutorial on how to use Erzy service I spent countless hours for 4-5 days, stayed up late till 5 in the morning which messed up my sleep cycle. All other tasks were put on hold.
Needless to say it’s very unhealthy and it’s actually not effective, because after 1-2 hours you tend to get unfocused and distructed by all kinds of things.
Solution: Work only in 30 min bursts
I use Pomodoro app to measure exactly 30 min per task.
I turn off all notifications, if someone calls I ignore!
The rest of the world is not important in the next 30 min!
If I finish the task in 30 mins, good. Case is closed!
If task is not finished, I record/save the progress of the task and create new task(with status of previous task).
If I feel like I can finish this task in next 30 mins and there’re no other urgent tasks I go for another 30 min session.
If I cannot finish task after spending 60 mins of focused time - it’s a hard stop! It means I will not finish it today. Move on to next task.
Why does it help?
Focus! It’s proven fact that our brains are able to focus for only 20-40 mins on one thing. If you stay too long on one thing you tend to get distracted by bunch of different thing like:
- “oh I received message notification, must be important! It’s not going to hurt if I peak for 5 seconds”
- I feel thirsty, I'm just going to make drink real quick;
- I’ll just check my social media quickly…I’ve been working for 2-3 hours it’s not going to hurt…end up scrolling feed for 2 hours…
- Mom called, must be very important!.. turn out it was nothing important, but you got distracted and ended up watching some Ted talk on YouTube.
You can afford to postpone everything when you know that you can back to whatever you want in 30 mins.
It teaches you self control.
Feeling guilty for not finishing project. You don’t feel guilty for not finishing up things, because you did finish your task. You constantly get finish stuff. If you paid your full attention to the task and turns out that it takes longer than 30 mins. You still have a result! So you should feel good about the work done and create new task to continue it afterwards.
Endorphin high! You get a little endorphin spike when you finish task. If you finish task every 30 mins you get many endorphin spikes throughout the day! Most people people have to take drugs or alcohol to get high. You will get high of work!

When I was in school we had a class where we told about different maniacs.
I remember these horror stories how maniacs used to break people psychologically so that they could order their captives to hang one another while maniacs were simply watching. These people could have easily killed this maniac, but they were mentally broken.
Just like population of Russia - population of broken people blindly executing orders of few sadistic maniacs.
A few months ago they were all political experts "everything is not as clear cut as it seems!"
And it turns out that it was after all very direct and clear, but we refused to believe what we see.
Soviet philosopher Merab Mamardashvili aka Georgian Socrates talked about it in his extensive talks.
He said it all almost 70 years ago, but we cannot see, we're blind to reality until we get punched real hard into our face by it.
Hope. So much romantic BS is said about hope!
I say that hope is curtain that blocks the view of the reality.
You do not see things as they are because you hope that everything will turn out the way you want.
Hope is a delusion.
If you feel reality is starting to get "aggressive" to you it's time re-examine the frameworks you use to judge world.
How do you feel reality that starting to get "aggressive" to you ?
Catch yourself when you begin to complain about something, when you feel like you cannot change something or someone.
Think "Why am I complaining?"
Don't ignore it or push it aside, listen to your inner voice.
Your intuition could be sending you other signals like you get irritable for no good reason.
Do not drown your inner voice with alcohol or narcotics!
If you are still alive then it's not too late to face the reality and make the right decision.

The info is not confirmed. It's probably not true that Xi has been arrested.
Kremlin geniuses have given people of Caucasus 2 choices of death: go to die in Ukraine for the right to remain slave or fight in Russia and die for your freedom.
In first case you're fighting highly motivated defenders of their homeland.
In second case you're fighting unmotivated herd.

Xi remains in power for 3rd term.
This is another major blow to freedom and democracies.
Expansion of democracy is stalling as major wester democracies seem to be in crisis.
These challenges will make world more unpredictable, but also more interesting.

Crypto
I think we are going to see long bear market in crypto.
I think people are still not past the denial phase stage. Lost of people are still talking about HOLD... some are talking about whales... wait until everyone shuts up, totally loses faith and shifts attention to new-shining-thing. That's going to be time to buy.
My safe Bitcoin buy price 8k-10k.
Once crypto is cleared of the noise, scammers, HODL bros, crypto youtubers/gurus/bloggers will abandon their channels or shift to different topics, forums and group activity dies out...If you don't rush into FOMO you can quietly pick out investments that can make you a fortune in the next 3-4 years.

I was following FTX story from the start of the debacle.
I tried to defer any conclusions before more facts come out.
Another problem is sources of info...you cannot trust any mainstream media on this issue because Sam Bankman bought so many of them.
So I will post several video investigations and you judge for yourself if they're painting the real picture.

Merab Mamardashvili aka "Georgian Socrates" was a Georgian philosopher, academic, and writer.
He was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1930 and studied philosophy at Tbilisi State University, where he later taught for many years. Mamardashvili was known for his philosophical writings, which were deeply influenced by the works of the German philosopher Martin Heidegger. He wrote extensively on a wide range of philosophical topics, including the nature of time, the relationship between language and thought, and the role of philosophy in modern society. Mamardashvili was also a prominent public figure in Georgia, and was widely regarded as one of the country's leading intellectuals. He passed away in 1990.
Some of his main ideas include:
The central role of language in shaping human thought and consciousness. Mamardashvili believed that language is not just a tool for communication, but is also the fundamental way in which humans experience and understand the world.
The idea that time is not a linear, objective reality, but is instead something that is constructed and experienced by humans through language and consciousness.
The concept of "the end of philosophy," which refers to the idea that traditional philosophical questions and methods have become obsolete in the modern world. Mamardashvili argued that contemporary philosophy should focus on addressing the practical problems of everyday life, rather than abstract theoretical concerns.
The importance of examining the philosophical foundations of modern science and technology, and the need to critically evaluate the implications of these fields for human society and culture.
Overall, Mamardashvili's ideas centered around the relationship between language, consciousness, and human experience, and the role of philosophy in addressing the challenges of the modern world.

In a video from 1969, Jim Morrison, the lead singer of The Doors, said that in the future, people would use computers and tapes to make music.
And, guess what? He was right!😱
Today, lots of musicians use computers and software to create and play music, especially in electronic music genre.
It's not clear why Jim predicted this, because The Doors were more of a rock band. Maybe he just had a feeling that technology would change music(and/or bunch of LSD he took had something to do with it). But, he was definitely on the money with his prediction. Nowadays, you can see lots of musicians using electronic instruments and technology in their music.
It's pretty cool to see how Jim's words from a long time ago are still true today. It just goes to show that he was not only a great musician, but also had a good understanding of how technology would shape the music industry.
