Google Pixel 7a Prototype is on Auction

A Pixel 7a prototype has now appeared on eBay. The prototype is EVT 1.0 (Engineering Validation Test).
It has rear engravings on the back and an Internal 'G shaped' logo (i don't think we've seen this one yet).
The device is Bricked by yours truly Google
This prototype uses Tensor G1 modem instead of G2 modem.
The other pixel 7a leaked DVT 1.1 proto has Tensor G2 modem
Denoscription mentions:
Google Pixel 7a prototype. It does NOT start. It goes only into fastboot mode. Device is in excellent cosmetic condition.
Maybe someone can make it work and own a very collectible device ahead of it’s launch. Note that SIM tray is missing.
The guy put that on auction on eBay and it reached a wild price of 2,550$ yet which is almost 2 Lakhs INR.

Remote Code Execution exploits found in Exynos modems, including ones in Pixel 6 and 7
Project Zero
Google's Project Zero team have discovered 18 0-day vulnerabilities in Exynos modems.
4 of them allow for internet-to-baseband remote code execution with just a phone number and no user interaction.
The other vulnerabilities require a malicious mobile network operator or an attacker with local access to the device.
The chipsets affected are Exynos Modem 5123, Exynos Modem 5300, Exynos 980, Exynos 1080, and Exynos Auto T5123.
Affected devices:
• Samsung Galaxy: S22, A71, A53, A33, A13, A12, A04 and M33, M13, M12
• Vivo: X70, X60, S16, S15, S6 and X30 series
• Google: Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series
• Vehicles with the Exynos Auto T5123 chipset

A serious privacy vulnerability has been found in Google Pixels inbuilt screenshot editor aka markup tool
The vulnerability enables:
• Partial recovery of the original image
• Recover unedited image data of a redacted image / screenshot
• Recover back the full image which was cropped before sending
Screenshots uploaded before January on Discord are vulnerable as the fix isn't retroactive.
So the cropped and redacted images you shared before January on discord can be recovered by anyone
Note: Google already patched this vulnerability in March Security Patches to eligible Pixels
Custom ROMs which uses pixels' markup tool for screenshot editor and are not on March SP should have this vulnerability still active.

A South African freelance paid $200 for a genuine copy of Windows 10, but the OS failed to activate normally.
When he contacted Microsoft support, an official engineer logged in remotely and "cracked" his copy using unofficial tools for Windows activation process.
The Microsoft support engineer ran the following PowerShell command on the customer's Windows PC
(URL modified to prevent execution):
irm hxxps://massgrave[.]dev/get | iex
The command establishes a connection to massgrave.dev, an unofficial repository of Windows and Office "activator" noscripts.
The 'iex' command runs the downloaded noscript
"It was not the first time they have seen some Microsoft official activated cracked windows" says Massgrave developer
The frustrated user said that after spending $200 on the OS to avoid downloading third-party activation software. It all ended with Microsoft injecting a cracking noscript for them.

In the past, there were rumors of Xiaomi developing an OS in 2013-2014. The Mi 4 was rumored to ship with MIOS, but it was released with Android instead.
The leaked image shows the updates page of a Xiaomi phone running an internal build of MiOS. This alpha is from November 5th, 2022.
Xiaomi may be concerned that the US could follow through on threats to ban Google services licenses, OR they could be looking to reduce their dependence on Android, even though it is open source.
MIOS may be similar to MIUI as it's a fork of Android like HarmonyOS.
But internally it will be different as it uses a microkernel, like Google's Fuchsia, rather than a monolithic kernel like Linux.

so its a 1+4+4 configuration with ARM v9 cores

4WGP 8CU: 4 "warp schedulers" and 8 "compute units
512 shader processors, 32 texture units, and 24 render output units
AMD RDNA 2
GPU still adopts semi-custom design of AMD RDNA2 architecture and is code-named 'ViKing'.
ID is very different from AMD products but it looks like Samsung's self-developed driver.
The mass production of Exynos 2300 was cancelled and it's not coming.
