First Look at Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Renders
Source
Design wise, Bezels has been reduced, making them one of narrowest bezels on any smartphone
It will also have TITANIUM Frame with FLAT display
Funnily, there is just 1g reduction in weight (233g v/s 234g in S23 Ultra) after using Titanium compared to the use of Aluminium in S23 Ultra.
Thats' because S24 Ultra is even slightly wider than S23 Ultra & Samsung did NOT cutoff cooling unlike Apple did to reduce weight
Specifications:
• 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED
• WQHD+ resolution
• 2500nits peak brightness
• Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC
• LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 4.0 storage
• Vapor cooling chamber for Heat Dissipation
Quad-Rear Camera setup with:
• 200MP main (Samsung HP25X, OIS support)
• 50MP 3x Telephoto
• 5000mAh battery with 45W Fast charging
• UWB (Ultra-Wide-Band) support
• Samsung S-Pen support
Dimensions: 162.3 × 79 × 8.6mm

Microsoft rolls out September Windows update with Copilot AI
Microsoft is adding a new ChatGPT-driven Copilot feature in Windows 11. Copilot is Windows Cortana replacement
Copilot can do various thing like changing Windows settings, rearranging windows with Snap Layouts, summarizing and rewriting documents that were dragged into it, and opening apps like Spotify, Adobe Express
But Copilot is SLOW compared to Bing or Google
As a test : What was the name of Rihanna's last album?
Copilot: 16.55 sec
Bing: 0.5 sec
Even though Bing powers Copilot, it uses a different type of technology to find these results, which takes much longer to respond
Seems like Copilot is only useful for complex tasks, asking it to handle multiple search queries and present it as a single answer
Copilot is available in Moment 4 update to Windows 11 22H2 version that Microsoft shipped in September update
Windows 11 insiders got 23H2 version

JANDK Operations Private Limited, Developer of Indigenous Indian Mobile OS BharOS, Has a Director With a Controversial Past
JANDK OPERATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is a Chennai-based startup that has developed BharOS, an indigenous mobile operating system. A while back, we made a post regarding how it's a fork of GrapheneOS despite it's big claims.
The company's two directors are Karthik Ayyar, a technology enthusiast, and Jaffar Sait, a former Indian Police Service officer.
Sait's history is checkered, to say the least. In 2011, he was suspended by the Tamil Nadu government for alleged fraud in acquiring residential plots from the Tamil Nadu Housing Board. [1]
In 2014, the Madras High Court ordered the shutdown of a website that leaked tapes of telephonic conversations between Sait and DMK MP Kanimozhi, which were related to the 2G spectrum scam. [2]
The website even posted a public plea to stop his promotion[3]
In 2019, the Madras High Court quashed a criminal case against Sait for alleged loss caused to the Tamil Nadu Housing Board. [4]
Sait retired as DGP in 2021, showing the plea failed.[5]
However, in 2022, he appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a money laundering case. The ED subsequently attached his properties.[6] [7]
A case regarding his wife is still ongoing[8]

iPhones have a QR code hidden under the screen
Source
Similar to iPhone’s internal components, even the iPhone screen has a hidden barcode surprisingly.
There are actually two QR codes engraved in every iPhone screen which are added to different areas on screen at different stages of manufacturing of iPhone's glass
The smaller barcode is a matrix of 625 dots embedded with lasers.
Apple developed this system 2020 which helps Apple track & reduce defects in production line
Two Chinese display companies — Lens Technology and Biel Crystal falsified their reports to Apple as 30% of iPhone screens used to be thrown away as faulty
Apple has now paid millions of dollars to install laser & a scanning equipment at Lens and Biel factories to add the microscopic QR code & scan the cover glass at the end of the production
Smaller code keeps track of allegedly faulty display & a larger code tells Apple which Chinese firm supplied truly broken display
Now, the failure rate is down to 10% only.

IITM provided clarification over BharOS being GrapheneOS Fork
BharOS is developed by JandK Operations, incubated by IIT Madras Pravartak and funded by Govt. of India
Now, IITM is a "client" of Megam Solutions whose founder is Sadhasiva1984, so it was assumed that JandKops "outsourced" the BharOS development to Megam Solutions
But IITM said: "An engineer of Megam (who is the CEO itself) wanted to try PORTING Android, so he used BharOS name "unintentionally".
In short IITM said Everything is just a "coincident"
> BharOS is for orgs who have security requirements
> BharOS is accessible to orgs through 5G private networks
> IITM is a client of Megam
> Megam is 5G & security company
> Megam wanted to try porting Android
> Out of so many AOSP forks, they chose Graphene
> It was named BharOS
> The fork is SAME as BharOS
IITM also said BharOS is open-sourced but after 9 months, it isn't yet
So "Either" IITM is saying truth & Sadhasiva is retarded OR this is just a half hearted explanation

Xiaomi's DXOMARK Twist: A Comedy Act!
GitHub
Redmi K40/ POCO F3/ Mi 11X are codenamed "Alioth." In Alioth's Kernel source, there exist "camera-dxo" & "camera-nonedxo" files
Its like Xiaomi phones have a split personality when it comes to photography
Camera-dxo means Xiaomi has a dedicated camera driver specifically designed & written for DXO and ENTIRE HAL stacks for it
This HAL enables some special tuning when the camera algorithm detects DXO test patterns
So Xiaomi made it just to prove that they are best in pictures but in reality, they are a CLOWN
Stock MIUI uses dxo-camera, So Xiaomi does cheating in software & folks after buying Xiaomi wonder why their cameras are SHIT compared to Pixels or iPhones
With Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi left dxo cam blobs & shipped the AOSP engineering units to dxomark with MIUI cam for evaluation
After that, DXOMARK gave Mi 11 Ultra TOP ranking & Xiaomi lit up their HQ to celebrate it
Imagine celebrating something you won by paying them. That's Xiaomi

Google considering shifting Pixels manufacturing to India amid Vietnam workers leaks
Source
Google is considering shifting Pixel production to India due to repeated leaks from Compal Vietnam factory workers.
Over the past 3-4 years, all of the Pixel photos or videos that have been leaked before the official launch have been done by factory workers.
The first Pixel 8 Pro was leaked by a factory worker, and YouTubers are also getting their hands on it.
Vendors near the Compal Pixel factory in Vietnam are stealing Pixel phones from the factory and selling them unofficially before the official launch.
Compal appears to have difficulty keeping secrets, so Google is considering shifting Pixel production to India, where it is hoped that factory leaks will halt.
Sadly, this switch would mean that many Compal Vietnam factory workers would lose their jobs if Google cuts off its ties.
