Introducing Samsung Ballie

At CES 2020, Samsung first showed off Ballie
But now after 4yrs at CES 2024, Samsung revealed an updated version of its round Ballie robot with an in-built projector

It can project things onto the floor, wall, or ceiling as it follows you around the home.

Samsung Ballie is basically a projector on wheels with IoT (Internet of Things) & involves many years of research & development

It runs on Samsung's TizenOS & can project on any surface wherein you can watch movies, stream music, control your smart home devices, and even find your phone when it's lost.

It syncs with your Samsung Account ID, which means it fully integrates with Samsung ecosystem
When you are working out, it can display metrics from your Galaxy Watch

You may also be able to play games via streaming from the cloud through Samsung Gaming Hub.
With the built-in camera, you can keep an eye on your home or on your pet when you're not around.

This is far more useful than Xiaomi's robot dog

Rockstar Games sues Remedy Entertainment saying the logo seems too similar

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games has filed a trademark dispute against Remedy Entertainment, developer of games like Max Payne and Alan Wake 2, complaining that its new logo is too similar to the Rockstar Games logo.

Take-Two filed its opposition against Remedy’s application with the European Union (EU) on July 26th and the UK on September 12th.

Take-Two didn’t provide any additional context for objecting to Remedy’s new logo, but the Rockstar Games logo was submitted in its own filings as evidence against the trademark application, suggesting its main issue is that they both prominently feature the letter “R.”

Remedy sold the Max Payne rights to Take-Two in 2004 and has collaborated with Rockstar Games on remakes for the first two games in the franchise.

Rockstar Games are currently funding Remedy's Max Payne Remake.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series seem to be the first non-Pixel Android phone to support dual eSIM! This means you can use two eSIM profiles at the same time, instead of only 1 pSIM + 1 eSIM or 2 pSIM for dual SIM functionality.

I haven't actually added two eSIM profiles yet, but my S24 Ultra model declares that it supports the MEP (Multiple Enabled Profiles) feature. MEP is the underlying feature that allows for the simultaneous use of two eSIM profiles stored on a single eSIM chip.

Here's a brief demo of Google's new Circle to Search gesture, available on the new Galaxy S24 series at launch and coming to the Pixel 8 series on January 31.

This feature is invoked by long pressing the home button or gesture handle then drawing, tapping, or scribbling to search text or images on the screen.
