Qualcomm teases new Oryon CPU for Windows

Qualcomm announced a name for its Nuvia based custom Arm cores: Oryon.

Expect a balance of power and  fast, efficient performance to Windows computers as part of its connected computing plans.
Qualcomm also mentioned that 5G and AI will be crucial parts of the new CPU.

Oryon figures to be a part of multiple Snapdragon products, including mobile, automotive and the many other areas.
Oryon replaces Kryo, the current CPU Qualcomm has used since 2015. Kryo will still be a part of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 tho

Qualcomm bought Santa Clara firm Nuvia for $1.4 billion back in January 2021. Nuvia was working on custom Arm architectures

Qualcomm Oryon is on track to arrive in the second half of 2023 for OEM, so devices with it will ship in 2024

Xiaomi's prototype outward folding phone leaked

The patent was published on June 5, 2020 and shows Xiaomi smartphone wiith a flexible display that is on the outside when folded.

When folded, the device has comparable dimensions to a regular smartphone, but unfolded you get an extra large display.

The phone is almost completely borderless with a quad rear camera system. It also has a Snapdragon 855 with X50 modem for 5G support and a 3470 mAh battery.

There's a button placed directly below the camera system which is probably used to control the closing of the flexible display.

The prototype was built later and intended to be more of an actual phone than a simple proof-of-concept.
The device was very secret and very few units made their way into the public
