So you want to build a portfolio but haven’t been able to find work because you don’t have a portfolio?😤

Try Fakeclients.com to generate fake prompts for whatever industry you work in… it is better than that random prompt generator cause its more relatable (they look like real world projects and clients)

Ps. As long as you can do the job, nobody will question you and the legitimacy of your clients🙃

Some of you were asking where I get mockups

I don’t use a particular website
Just go to behance.com and search “free laptop sticker mockup” or anything equivalent

a bunch of mockup websites post their best stuff on behance to get exposure hence it alleviates some of the sifting and searching for you
You can go ahead and use that

https://annas-archive.gs/ searches through all shadow libraries for books, including Lib Genesis, Sci-Hub and Z-Library
quite literally no books you can't find here.

Every single website tells a story

and you as the designer/developer have to lead your users where you want them to go using story telling.

These 6 sections are the sections every website (at least portfolio/landing page) should have.

The header - should contain a one liner that describes what your website talks about/sells

Stakes - what problems you are saving your users from

Value proposition - how are you solving those problems (stakes) and why someone should trust you with the solution

Plan - what working with you looks like, clients love clarity on what they’re getting into

Proof - what past clients/ people youve worked with have to say about you

Call to action (CTA) - highlighted section outlining how they can sign up/ purchase from you

What's the best free image generator AI?
I use Alpacaml.com for ai image generation
It is actually pretty accurate for something that’s free (I even use it in proper client work 👀)

lets talk type Scales

Consistency in your website or app makes it easier to use by creating familiarity. Achieve this by using a uniform approach to color schemes, text sizes, button styles, and spacing for similar elements (e.g., all secondary buttons looking the same or maintaining consistent spacing for elements with the same hierarchy). Let’s start with type scales—the video above by Figma explains how to set up a type scale to fit your needs.

check out this course by figma about design systems for more.
