Starting June 1 — the revamped ranked system goes live: 25 Ranks + Legend, with a brand new progression logic. End-of-season rewards depend on the highest rank achieved.
• Win: +1 star
• Win streak: +2 stars
• Loss: -1 star
• Loss on streak: streak reset
Seasons start at Rank 25. Win with max stars — move up to the next rank with 1 star. Lose with 0 stars — drop down and start with max stars minus one. The first 5 ranks are a safe zone — losses don’t drop you down.
At Legend rank, stars are hidden but still tracked. Leaderboard position depends on hidden stars. If tied, win rate decides. Still tied? The earlier Legend entry wins.
Each new season resets rank by 15 levels. Rewards depend on the peak rank — starting from Rank 15, new lootboxes are added to the pool.

No one really knew where he came from. At the bank, people whispered: Hans was the result of a classified experiment by Swiss scientists — engineered to protect the national gold reserves
Hans was flawless. He didn’t sleep, didn’t eat, and never left his post. But time passed. The vaults emptied. Reports became more valuable than security. Eventually, all the gold was moved to a newer, more “technological” facility. The old vault was sealed.
And Hans was simply told: “Your services are no longer required.”
Left with no purpose, no orders, no uniform — he became something else. Not a guard, but a shadow of the system. A ghost of order, abandoned by the world it once served.
Now he wanders from city to city, drawn to places where the stench of corruption becomes too strong to ignore. Lurking outside shady exchange booths. In the alleys near “financial advisor” offices. At the doors of funds still open — but whose books are already going dark.
He no longer protects gold.

Before each match, the player selects 4 mercs from 8 random options. The remaining 4 go to reserve and become available if fewer than two districts are under control.
Each round gives 4 bonuses, and rerolls are disabled. Bonuses can be re-equipped before every round (up to 4 per turn, as long as they’re available in the garage).
This update reduces randomness and makes loadout building more predictable.
