Once, in a snowy Alpine village, there lived a humble vault guard named Hans. He was a true giant — over two meters tall, with greenish skin and a heavy, silent gaze that made even the calmest visitors break into a cold sweat.

No one really knew where he came from. At the bank, people whispered: Hans was the result of a classified experiment by Swiss scientists — engineered to protect the national gold reserves ❤️

Hans was flawless. He didn’t sleep, didn’t eat, and never left his post. But time passed. The vaults emptied. Reports became more valuable than security. Eventually, all the gold was moved to a newer, more “technological” facility. The old vault was sealed.

And Hans was simply told: “Your services are no longer required.”

🤩 That’s when Bankenstein was born

Left with no purpose, no orders, no uniform — he became something else. Not a guard, but a shadow of the system. A ghost of order, abandoned by the world it once served.

Now he wanders from city to city, drawn to places where the stench of corruption becomes too strong to ignore. Lurking outside shady exchange booths. In the alleys near “financial advisor” offices. At the doors of funds still open — but whose books are already going dark.

He no longer protects gold.
Bankenstein now guards something far rarer:

🐇 District Clash: major gameplay update

Before each match, the player selects 4 mercs from 8 random options. The remaining 4 go to reserve and become available if fewer than two districts are under control.

🌉 Roulette now works differently.

Each round gives 4 bonuses, and rerolls are disabled. Bonuses can be re-equipped before every round (up to 4 per turn, as long as they’re available in the garage).

This update reduces randomness and makes loadout building more predictable.

💙 UI update: HP and DMG are now shown with icons.

Each bonus now contains a piece of the story. It’s the first step toward uncovering the lore. Over time, more fragments will appear, and squad members will gain a full understanding of why they fight in District Clash.

A new ‘’Mercenaries’’ tab just dropped in the main menu, and it brings a bunch of new features!

👈 Mercs can now be leveled up to level 8;
👈 XP is earned from wins and defeated enemy mercs;
👈 Each level adds bonuses: HP, max damage, initiative;
👈 All mercs now have 5 bonus slots by default;
👈 The sixth slot unlocks at level 3.

❤️ In the ‘’Mercenaries’’ tab, you can now select up to 4 fighters who will always appear at the start of the match.
