Kinda half agree with aryan with this one, on aosp side ofc the latest one always better since you got the latest patches, fixes, and whatnot from latest code that the developer do
what i not agree is on porting side, since there's no source code, we gotta rely on modding/replacing files, which sometimes is making the system unstable, and on newer android versions, more files needed to be relaced to make it work.

Just because something is older doesn't mean it's more stable

Fedora released Rawhide Pre-release KDE ISO on their website, accidentally...
I was installing Fedora 43 earlier just because I like it but, I was literally figuring out on how to fix the installer, they even named the top-right as "Fedora 43," then it gave me a weird error while installing it, and I still tried to boot it.
And guess what? I installed a pre-release version that shouldn't be exist in public. How Fedora made a big mistake on this shit? 🥀

Huh Xiaomi is actually doing something with this one
On their
On variable
Highlight: Google Play Store, Xiaomi GetApps (China), Amazon AppStore
And if the OS is
Hightlight: Xiaomi System Apps Updater on Global ROM, Xiaomi GetApps (Goofy ahh trash global version)
Conclusion: This is the reason why you can't install Apps from F-Droid even tho you installed F-Droid Previleged Extension on your system.
2 method that available to patch these thing:
1. Just remove everything inside
2. edit one of the app listed on the variable list
Gonna do the second one since it looks easier.
On their
miui-services.jar, there's only selected apps that is actually allowed to install apps silently. On variable
sNoVerifyAllowPackage:android
com.android.provision
com.miui.securitycore
com.android.vending
com.xiaomi.market
com.xiaomi.gamecenter
com.xiaomi.securitycenter
com.android.updater
com.amazon.veneziaHighlight: Google Play Store, Xiaomi GetApps (China), Amazon AppStore
And if the OS is
IS_INTERNATIONAL_BUILD is set to true, add two another apps:com.miui.cotaservice

1. Just remove everything inside
assertValidApkAndInstaller and do a single return-void2. edit one of the app listed on the variable list
Gonna do the second one since it looks easier.
