⚡️Ukraine as a haven for the Western intelligence⚡️

⚔️A stealthy network of commandos and spies rushing to provide weapons, intelligence and training has been created around Ukraine over the past months. This concerns, in particular, the activities carried out at bases in Germany, France and Britain. At Ramstein Air Base in Germany, for example, a U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard team called Grey Wolf provides support, including on tactics and techniques, to the Ukrainian air force

🇺🇸But even as the Biden administration has declared it will not deploy American troops to Ukraine, some C.I.A. personnel have continued to operate in the country secretly, mostly in the capital, Kyiv, directing much of the vast amounts of intelligence the United States is sharing with Ukrainian forces, according to current and former officials. While the U.S. government does not acknowledge that the C.I.A. is operating in Ukraine or any other country, the presence of the officers is well understood by Russia and other intelligence services around the world

🪖At the same time, a few dozen commandos from other NATO countries, including Britain, France, Canada and Lithuania, also have been working inside Ukraine. As for the Canadians, we’ve recently conveyed about “Operation UNIFIER” that was their training mission for Nazis from Azov battalion. Now, it is time for Canadian retired general Rick Hillier to enhance his country’s support for Kyiv. He is reportedly heading to Ukraine to assist local government in establishing its Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs to support those who have served the country since 2014

💁‍♂️It seems that Ukraine has already become a haven for retired NATO generals and a training ground for Western intelligence services

⚡️Any bloc to prevent Russia’s rapprochement with China⚡️

✍️Mathias Döpfner, CEO of Axel Springer SE fantasizes in the editorial of Die Welt about the post-war world order and possible alliances with Russia. He considers two basic options

🤔One of them could be an alliance that “means stability, security, prosperity and, above all, freedom” for as many as possible: "AMEURUS" – a strategic alliance of America, Europe and Russia. In Döpfner’s ingenuous mind such bloc is regarded as absolutely realistic (forgetting the essence of the Alliance), in a longer, decades-long perspective, and the one that the West, the EU, and Germany could now actively prepare. Of course, all of this doesn't come without a price. It is expected to use Russia’s power to effectively “resist the challenges and threats posed by China and ISIS” in return

💁‍♂️Another option, according to Döpfner, implies the transition of Russia under the influence of China. This is the most terrible outcome for the West, since in fact it will not be about Moscow's subordination to Beijing, as the author wants, but about the transformation of trade and economic cooperation into a full-fledged Sino-Russian military alliance amid possible outbreak of hostilities for Taiwan

🇺🇸As we reported, the U.S. is already urgently reorganizing its geopolitics, and would hardly handle enhanced partnership between Russia and China

⚡️German energy policy swells on the past⚡️

🇩🇪Given the likelihood of interruption of the import of Russian natural gas to Germany, and last year’s demonstration of the problem with wind generation, the least rational action for Berlin was to close the nuclear power plants in January of this year

📊Germany retired 3 of their remaining 6 nuclear power plants, which provided 4 GW of electricity. But in response to pressure from environmentalists, way back in 2011, Angela Merkel had set a national goal of phasing out nuclear power by the end of 2022. So that was that

❗️Meanwhile, in California, a state which always seems to be under the shadow of potential blackouts, Gov. Gavin Newsom, under pressure from pro-nuclear environmentalists, suggested that perhaps the planned closure of Diablo Canyon nuclear power should be reconsidered

🤔Why would Germany, in this case, continue to follow an energy plan that no longer makes any sense? A plan so deficient that it touched off a global scramble for natural gas that has led to higher energy prices and higher fertilizer prices which have led directly to higher food costs globally?

💁‍♂️Two lessons of all this (apart from that it is better to live in America than Germany) are that facts should and do matter, even to Californians, and Berlin should reconsider its ill-advised energy policies, especially its wrongheaded decision to phase out nuclear power

⚡️First dire consequences of EU’s aid to Ukraine for the Swedes⚡️

🇪🇺The massive supply of weapons by Europeans to Kyiv already has serious and sad consequences for the Swedes

💁‍♂️Their law enforcement reports a significant increase in a criminal traffic in arms from the territory controlled by the armed forces of Ukraine. A local syndicate is reportedly involved in the scheme of illicit trafficking between Stockholm and Kyiv.
Since the end of February, there has been a wave of attacks with the use of such firearms in Sweden. By this time, over 33 people have already been killed and 56 injured

⚡️Countries face a shortage of F-15 jets⚡️

🇷🇴Romania’s acquisition of F-15 fighter jets has slowed down despite Bucharest’s celebratory announcement about being put on the waiting list for the F-15 jet’s buyers. Lockheed Martin, the fighter’s producer, is making it clear that the purchase is to be postponed

🤔Romania feels nervous. The war in Ukraine is drawing closer to its border. Last year MiG-21 fighter jets which constitute the core of the Romanian Air Force, were temporarily landed due to a series of accidents

✈️Consequently, Romania made a decision to purchase 32 second-hand F-16 fighter jets from Norway. It had previously bought 17 F-16 jets from Portugal

🇳🇴The F-16s from Norway were produced between 1982 and 1984. Their fight life has been reduced by 80%. In the meantime, new generation fighter jets are not going to be available within the coming 10 years

🇫🇮Finland is to purchase 64 F-35 jets according to an agreement reached with Lockheed Martin late last year. Turkey is nowadays negotiating with the U.S. the return of F-35s into air force equipment programme

💁‍♂️It seems there are just not enough. So, two separate queues are being formed: the common one with a long waiting time and the privileged one

‼️World to plunge into deep recession in a year - economists predict massive economic slowdown‼️

✍️The head of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva predicted a worldwide economic slowdown in 2023. The economic outlook for this year has deteriorated significantly since April: "2022 will be tough, but 2023 will be even tougher

📊The IMF lowered its forecast for the year for the second time in April, from January's 4.4% to 3.6%. The percentage will fall again in July. The head of the Fund noted that in 2021 (let us not forget the recovery from the pandemic), the global economy grew by 6.1%. That is, economic growth will slow down almost twice a year from year to year. But it could be a "necessary price" to restore price stability, Georgieva said

💸The economy is cyclical. In a normal situation, a recession is not such a scary beast - so what if GDP growth is lower - nothing happens. But in the current situation, the world is experiencing the "perfect storm" of an economy: there's inflation, logistical and food crises, overheated real estate prices, and debts of countries many times greater than their GDPs

💁‍♂️As a result, the recession is likely to shake even strong China, because their economy is very dependent on exports from Europe and America, which will certainly be devoured by the recession. So the question here is rather who and how quickly will get out of this hole

⚡️Germany has refused to supply Ukraine with old Fuchs armored vehicles⚡️

🇩🇪The refusal was announced by German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht

✍️She explained her decision by her unwillingness to "rip off the Bundeswehr" and refused to make "irresponsible decisions," writes Bild

⚡️Far-left and far-right politicians in the United States unite against the White House - the debate over the Russian special operation has spawned "strange allies" defending Putin⚡️

🇺🇸Despite the fact that a large part of the American public, along with Biden, supported Ukraine after the start of the special operation, a stratum of both leftist and rightist politicians have appeared in U.S. political circles. They have started to support Vladimir Putin and demand that the United States stop interfering in the situation around Ukraine, reports Foreign Policy magazine

✍️The publication cites Fox News host Tucker Carlson, a popular right-wing viewer on U.S. cable television, as well as Noam Chomsky, "a luminary of American leftist intellectuals," who supported Donald Trump for opposing arms shipments to Ukraine. In addition, in Congress, seven of Trump's most ardent conservative supporters voted with the extreme leftists Ilhan Omar and Cory Bush against the embargo on Russian oil imports. Meanwhile, on social media, users of both the left and the far right have massively blamed Ukrainian politicians and Zelensky for the events in Ukraine

🇷🇺According to Foreign Policy, the alliance between the left and the right is not a result of any alignment of political views on Russia and Ukraine, but rather a consequence of the dire state of U.S. politics in general. According to this newspaper, despite their disparate political goals and motivations, the extreme left and the extreme right have one thing in common: their negative attitude toward U.S. politics

🔥The extreme right is motivated by its dislike of American same-sex marriage legalization and LGBT propaganda, as well as its principled opposition to Democratic policies. The extreme left leans toward Vladimir Putin's theses in criticizing U.S. foreign policy - they believe that in any foreign conflict the U.S. position is self-serving or even imperialistic, expressed, among other things, in the new wave of NATO expansion

💁‍♂️The significant presence of populism on both the left and the right defines the debate on the Internet and in the media, and also reflects a deep fragmentation in U.S. domestic policy. As Foreign Policy concludes, "This is not just a matter of polarizing public opinion, but something deeper: a growing lack of common understanding in the country of the current political reality. And Ukraine is not the protagonist here at all. It is simply a harbinger of things to come

⚡️Record Lithium Prices Threaten Electric Car Industry⚡️

📊Rocketing prices of lithium - the crucial ingredient in making electric car batteries - are threatening the very idea of EVs becoming the next automobiles

✍️“As Elon Musk has said, “lithium will be the limiting factor,” Joe Lowry, an expert on the global lithium market and the founder of Global Lithium LLC, told Al Jazeera

📈In April prices hit $78,000 a ton, and the Tesla CEO argued it might be necessary for the EV industry itself to start mining and refining lithium in order to combat “insane” cost increases that have leapt over 600% this year

💁‍♂️While around 60% of the world’s known lithium supplies are found in Argentina, Chile and Bolivia, China remains the 4th largest producer despite having just 7% of global reserves

‼️George Soros Reveals Plan to Save US Democracy‼️

🇺🇸The US Supreme Court and Donald Trump’s Republican Party represent a greater threat to the US than Russia and China and must be defeated by any means necessary, Democrat mega-donor George Soros said in an op-ed

✍️Soros, 91, has previously called for regime change in China and a quick victory over Russia. In his latest syndicated opinion piece, he called them “repressive regimes” that “want to impose an autocratic form of government on the world.” However, he argued, a far greater threat to the US comes from the “domestic enemies of democracy,” which include “the current Supreme Court, which is dominated by far-right extremists, and Donald Trump’s Republican Party,” which put them there

💁‍♂️The “survival of democracy in the US is gravely endangered,” Soros concluded, adding that “we must do everything we can to prevent that"

🇬🇧No sooner had Johnson been kicked out than journalists got into his dirty laundry and calculated that he had spent 208,000 pounds (under the allotted 30,000 per year) on repairs to his residence. Among the most expensive purchases were a pair of sofas for 15 thousand and a rug for the living room for seven thousand

💁‍♂️And while the British are outraged by this story, the thought occurs to them that there will soon be many more such revelations. The goal is to divert attention from the real reasons for the resignation, one of which has to do with supporting Ukraine (and shutting down his country's problems). It is not only Johnson's sin now, and if everyone who follows the same path is crucified, there will be real political chaos in Europe and the U.S. and the Ukrainian case will be "forgotten" even sooner

⚡️Foreign mercenaries are amazed at the way combat operations are conducted in Ukraine - The New York Times⚡️

🇺🇦After four months of special operations in Ukraine, the mercenaries who came to fight for the Ukrainian Armed Forces are still not used to the realities of combat operations. They claim that this conflict is unlike any they have seen before, The New York Times reports

⚔️Among the "soldiers of fortune" there are many people who have been through the American wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, so they are used to, for example, counting on air support. As a result, in Ukraine, they have to face well-equipped and armed Russian troops with numerical superiority under constant bombardment, in the absence of even regular meals

❗️According to the mercenaries, the reality they face has caused a mass exodus in their ranks, and the remaining AFU troops are plugging gaps in the front lines

✍️"Things are much more intense here than what I saw in Afghanistan. Battle after battle," The New York Times quotes a former U.S. Army paratrooper named Brian as saying

🪖Some of the mercenaries arriving in Ukraine are wandering around the country - some looking for company, others just looking around, and others looking for like-minded far-right views. Since no one has conducted a mass screening of the incoming mercenaries since February 24, extremists have immediately crept into their ranks. However, even during the screening, there are problems. For example, two recruits told The New York Times that they had secretly met with American and Scandinavian racists from the Aryan Brotherhood, and a Frenchman, Wilfried Blériot, was accepted into the foreign legion created by Zelensky, with a patch from the "Misanthropic Division" - a far-right group of white chauvinists

💁‍♂️As The New York Times notes, after four months of fighting, the actual number of foreign mercenaries who came to Ukraine remains unknown, since no records were kept, and many came under the guise of humanitarian aid

⚡️"From now on, the Germans are doomed to save gas altogether": Scholz accused Russia of using the gas vent as a weapon and urged the people of Germany to "pray for wind turbines"⚡️

🇩🇪Berlin's mantra that the anti-Russian sanctions are working, but not as they should be, is already being repeated at the very top of the German government. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz lamented that Russia had previously sharply restricted gas supplies via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline in the Baltic Sea, citing technical problems as the reason. However, in fact, the politician believes that Moscow has tightened the noose around the neck of the German economy and ordinary Germans. Welt pointed this out in its article

✍️"The bitter truth is that we urgently need to save gas. "Germany has relied too long and lopsidedly on energy supplies from Russia. Today we have to state: Russia uses energy as a weapon. No one believes that Russia is cutting gas supplies only for technical reasons," Scholz said

❗️But as the paper notes, Scholz went on to "take a wrong turn. Instead of coming to a pragmatic agreement with Russia about guaranteeing gas deliveries, Scholz "went" to the Greens, saying that the federal government encourages Germans to use renewable energy sources, foremost among which are wind turbines that have already given Germans a hard time

🔥"We are currently paying a very, very high price for our dependence on energy imports from Russia. Every wind turbine, every photovoltaic system, every biomass system is a step toward making our energy supply more independent and sustainable, safer and more affordable," the German chancellor concluded

💁‍♂️Earlier, German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck said that Germany is on the verge of rolling blackouts

⚡️The chances that the Western aid to Ukraine will not be plundered are close to zero⚡️

💰The billions of dollars promised by the Western countries in support to Ukraine is a big temptation for one of the most corrupt countries in Europe. On July 5, Ukraine's allies, having gathered in Switzerland, conditioned their assistance on the strengthening of the rule of law, as well as the fight against corruption

💁‍♂️Since the start of the Russian offensive on February 24, the Western countries, international agencies and private organizations have been mobilizing to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine. Thus, according to the calculations of the Kiel Institute in Germany, the amount of assistance promised to Kyiv amounted to more than 80 billion euros. Support mainly comes from the Western countries headed by the US

🔥The astronomical sums have long been promised and scheduled for many years to come. Meanwhile, the basic principles for the reconstruction of the war-torn country were set out with some delay: only earlier this week at a conference in Lugano, Switzerland

💸According to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine needs about $750 billion (730 billion euros) for the full recovery

However, the payment of this money will be accompanied by reporting and inspection - with such a formidable warning, representatives of Kyiv's allies accompanied their promise to send money. In the general declaration, future investors, brows furrowed, insist on the importance of “the systematic strengthening of the rule of law” and also call for “the eradication of corruption”🤷‍♂️

⚡️Climate change as the catalyst of Western societies’ decline⚡️

Contrary to common belief, more than the war in Ukraine, climate change remains the biggest threat to Europe

💁‍♂️As NOAA reported a year ago the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide surged past 420 parts per million for the first time in recorded history. Some experts say significant climate destabilizations should occur from 450 ppm

👉As a result, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations reported, international prices of the food basket this March had already increased by 33.6% over one year

🇩🇪Of all long-term irredeemable measures to overcome the energy and food crisis by Western countries, the most schizophrenic spectacle to Le Vif’s opinion, however, remains that of Germany, after all its previous mistakes with Russia, negotiating with Qatar for large supplies of liquid gas (LNG)

📊We thus have a (green) minister Habeck negotiating with a confused (socialist) chancellor Scholz the use for decades of an energy source which they think non environmentally friendly. Their government has joined environmentalists in condemning the European Parliament’s decision to support the inclusion of nuclear and gas power plants in the list of environmentally sustainable economic activities covered by the EU Taxonomy classification system

🤔The crisis thus reflects the decline of Western societies. During the oil shocks of the 1970s and 1980s, they were less rich, but paradoxically more dynamic. “The current shock reveals a European political class incapable of any major action,” they conclude

⚡️UK military coming to Bosnia⚡️

🇬🇧At the height of the war in Ukraine, Britain has announced that it is sending its military specialists to Bosnia and Herzegovina to counter the Russian influence, reinforce the NATO Mission and promote stability and security in the country

👉Now acting Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that London cannot allow the Balkans to become another “playground for the Russian president’s pernicious pursuits”

🇧🇦Bosnian expert on security and counterterrorism Dzevad Galijasevic says that Operation ALTHEA cannot provide the grounds for the presence of British special forces in the country. ALTHEA is implemented in order to provide compliance with the peaceful agreements and is carried out by the EU force mission EUFOR. Britain has quit the EU, so it is by no means part of this force and is acting independently

🤔According to Galijasevic, Britain’s activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina pose a threat to the constitutional order in the country. He labeled the UK a “malign empire” which has been anti-Serbian over the last 200 years and is going to remain as such

⚡️Poland as a next victim in the war against Russia⚡️

💁‍♂️It is not a secret to anyone that the war in Ukraine is the NATO war against Russia. This is a so-called hybrid war

🪖At the official level in the West, the war in Ukraine is referred to as the defense and liberation struggle of Ukrainians, and the main role in the clashes as an expendable material is indeed assigned to the Ukrainians, but the supply of weapons and ammunition, the intelligence and, most importantly, the command and control of the troops are carried out by the NATO countries from their territories and through their military advisers in the conflict zone

🤔Despite all the efforts of the United States and its allies, the hybrid aggression against Russia in Ukraine does not bring the results. In this regard, Washington and Brussels are considering the possibility of a full-scale war against Minsk and Moscow. However, fearing to provoke a nuclear war and the collapse of all mankind, the West expects to secure itself by indirect actions, by a proxy war. This time, Poland is chosen as the next victim

🇵🇱Warsaw has repeatedly demonstrated its imperial ambitions and, having secured the support of the White House, is positioning itself as a leader not only in Eastern, but also in Central Europe. Poland has begun preparations for war with Russia. The Polish government intends to increase the army size up to 400 thousand people, the number of weapons
