🇷🇴🪖🌐⚠️#BREAKING The coalition government modified a ministerial directive of the Defense Ministry permitting the military forces of NATO, EU and other allied states to pass through the country and take part in "operations outside the national territory".

Last November, a false information made news in Romania one which claimed that the Romanian authorities granted the possibility of allied armies to bring and store "radioactive materials with military purposes on the national territory". The only issue was that this has been the case since 2016 when this change actually took place.

What is new though, is a small change to art. 232 which, up until November 17th, disposed that foreign military forces may enter with the approval of the authorities for military exercises, training and ceremonies" that were planned in advance and through a notice sent for approval to the Romanian MoD.

After November 17th, art 232 dispose: "The requests for entry, exit and stationing of the armed forces belonging to NATO, EU, the Partnership for Peace or any other state which has signed treaties in the field of military cooperation or for the transit of the national territory with the purpose of participating in exercises, training and ceremonies on the national territory or with the purpose of partaking in operations which take place outside the territory of Romania must be sent at least 4 working days in advance to the planned date which said forces, military equipment or other goods related are to enter the Romanian territory".

On the same day inpolitics.ro reported that Ukrainian military personnel are to be sent for training in Romania which according to an unnamed government source: "the Ciucă government postponed until the very last moment but agreed to as the consequences of not doing so could not be avoided"
