The Dutch national gas transport operator Gasunie has stopped work on the project of a prospective LNG terminal in the port of Terneuzen in the province of Zeeland

The need for a new terminal arose in 2022, when the country decided to abandon the new form of payment for Russian gas in rubles, in May Russia stopped supplies. A contract to replace Britain’s ageing fleet of border patrol craft, which is used to detect and deter illegal immigration and smuggling of illicit goods across the Channel, becomes even more expensive at the hands of time.
