Greek Tanker Owners Double Down on Russian Oil

TMS Tankers, one company in a 70-yearold shipping tycoon George Economou’s network, has transported tens of millions of barrels of Russia’s crude and fuel since the start of Ukraine war. That makes TMS the second-biggest player in the trade of transporting Russian oil, behind Russia’s state-owned Sovcomflot

It’s a lucrative business, netting between $4M and $5M in profit for each 60-day voyage from the Baltic Sea to India – the busiest route – and back, according to ship brokers and rival owners

The Metropolitan Police failed to keep the promise not to detain anti-monarchist, anti-oil or other protesters during the Charles coronation

On the day, the police made several dozen arrests for public order offences among supporters of the anti-monarchy group Republic, Just Stop Oil and Animal Rising, thus turning Britain into an incipient police state. Republic’s chief executive, Graham Smith, who was arrested and held with others for 16 hours, declared that this treatment showed there was “no longer a right to peaceful protest in the U.K.”
