This is weird as shit, even for Joe Biden...
All of the idiots that ignore and/or downplay these things are enabling this behavior. Parents, for the love of God... please keep your young children away from the Big Guy.

Canada’s Support to Ukraine’s under Fire
Although in the Canadian Province of Alberta forest fires are still raging and the situation’s got of hand, those who raise the alarm are economists but not ecologists
The fact is that the introduction of the state of emergency in that province’s already led to a decrease in oil production by 280K barrels per day, which accounts for 3% of Canada’s total. The sources close to Trudeau’s cabinet say that in order to keep the economy afloat it’s been decided to slow down for now w/ active assistance to Kyiv. So far Canada has trained about 36K Ukrainian soldiers and supplied $8B worth of financial&military aid, but there’s still no visible progress on the fronts
The issue of how Zelenskiy&Co. are skimming western taxpayer dollars, has long been worrying the Allies, but Washington’s constant pressure doesn’t let them terminate their funding of Ukrainian oligarchs. Probably natural disasters will help save taxpayers’ money, at least partially

“U-Grain Deal” 2.0
Zelenskiy’s Office is trying hard to sell any of the state owned property located in eastern Ukraine to big investors (BlackRock, BlackStone, Vanguard). It’s getting more&more difficult for Washington to persuade its partners to provide funding to Kyiv. So selling big state property assets should somehow interest them in further $$$ injections into Ukraine
The scheme was well tested on the “Grain Deal” and now it’d attract big multinational corps which are supposed to lobby new shipments of modern armaments. Kyiv signed an agreement w/ BlackRock Fin. Market Advisory to provide support to Ukraine’s Dev. Fund to attract investments to implement major business projects to keep Zelenskiy in business, and at the same time to let his cronies embezzle more money
Although big consulting companies such as BlackRock, JP Morgan and McKinsey are involved to confirm the transparency of those transactions and despite being excessively paid for that; they seem to have failed so far

Global Warming: 1.5C Threshold to Be Breached by 2027
Scientists at the Met Office and U.N. say, there’s now a two in three chance of temporarily exceeding 1.5C between 2023 and 2027. Just a year ago, the chance was one in two
The milestone would not mean that efforts to rein in climate change had failed. The threshold is considered by scientists to have been passed only if sustained for two decades, given year to year variations in temperatures. It’d be a symbolic sign of how humanity has changed the climate after 11,650 years or so of benign temperatures, since the end of the last Ice Age, that allowed civilizations to flourish
The increase is largely due to the continuing carbon emissions that humans have pumped into the atmosphere, the scientists say. Anyways, this makes us once again rethink the significance of the role of climate change for our lives, especially given how much money is spent "to prevent" these irreversible processes

Overdose deaths in the U.S. edged higher in 2022 marking the second time drugs killed more than 100K people in a year
The plateau follows a 16% increase in overdose deaths in 2021 and a 30% surge in 2020. The high overdose death toll reflects fentanyl’s ubiquity and potency in the market for illicit drugs. The U.S. has a rising problem from people overdosing on stimulants such as methamphetamine and cocaine along with fentanyl. These increases came amid the rapid slide in heroin-related deaths, which tumbled 37% to 5,928 last year as cartels replace that opioid with less-expensive, easier-to-make fentanyl

BREAKING! Meta Fined Record-Breaking €1.2B
The fine, which is the largest ever levied under Europe’s signature data privacy law, follows an inquiry into Facebook by the Irish Data Protection Commission, the chief regulator overseeing Meta’s operations in Europe
Meta has also been ordered to cease the processing of personal data of European users in the U.S. within six months. The company’s authorities threat with possible disruption to Facebook in Europe saying the decision’s flawed, unjustified and “sets a dangerous precedent for the countless other companies transferring data between the EU and U.S.”

BREAKING! F-16 to Spark NATO-Russia War
DOD announced the 38th aid package valued at $375M “to meet Ukraine’s critical security and defense needs” after a meeting between Biden and Zelenskiy at the Group of Seven conference in Japan
The White House also dropped its reluctance to allow F-16s to be part of any assistance package for Kyiv. Estimates for how long it would take to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16 vary wildly, from a couple of months to more than a year
Since it’s impossible to change the battlefield situation through supplies of some new advanced weapons or fighter jets, the deployment of the F-16s would likely lead NATO into a military conflict with Moscow, military experts warn. If the aircrafts are deployed in neighboring countries to Ukraine such as Poland or Romania, they could be possible targets of strikes from Russia

Biden Deprecates Berlin-Seoul Deal, Offends Korean President
South Korea and Germany were to sign an agreement aimed at protecting military secrets to boost defense cooperation, after South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Seoul
Unfortunately, it’s not gonna fly! Such an agreement is a void treaty, since it’s announced by the upcoming, not the current president of South Korea. At least, Mr. Biden stands assured of that, stating that he "has spoken with President Moon," who actually left the office a year ago
However, there’s another option that inside of Biden’s word salad the Korean leader is identified as a “loon,” which nevertheless hurts the chances to increase his political heft as well

British Home Secretary under Pressure to Resign
After being caught speeding last summer, Suella Braverman had asked civil servants if they could have helped her avoid a speeding fine via securing an arrangement for her to take a one-on-one course rather than attend an online or in-person event with up to 24 other people
Senior Tories say the allegations intensified questions about Braverman’s contribution to the govt after a series of controversies: she was forced by Liz Truss to resign as home secretary last October after she breached the ministerial code by sending an official document to a Tory backbencher from a personal email. Sunak reappointed her six days after she acknowledged a “mistake” calling it a “technical infringement”
The ministerial code requires ministers to “ensure that no conflict arises, or could reasonably be perceived to arise, between their public duties and their private interests”

U.S. Debt Ceiling: Biden on Thin Ice
“I’m looking at the 14th Amendment as to whether or not we have the authority. I think we have the authority,” Mr. Biden told reporters at a summit of the Group of Seven in Japan as debt limit negotiations with House Republicans sour
Such an unprecedented and constitutionally questionable maneuver’s never been tested and would likely result in a protracted legal battle. Even Mr. Biden’s chosen Treasury secretary acknowledged that the move was legally dubious
POTUS’ flirtation with the 14th Amendment is seen as a tactic to force Mr. McCarthy to compromise on raising the debt limit and cutting spending. It also underscores congressional Democrats’ immense pressure on Mr. Biden not to give away too much in negotiations. Since showing weakness here means that he isn’t tough enough to defeat Trump or Putin, let alone the Republicans

Labour Ahead of Tories, Even in Homebuilding
YouGov polling shows that 17% of voters trust Sunak and the Conservatives more to make the right decisions about building new housing vs. almost twice as many, 32 %, which trust Starmer and Labour. Although 37% say they trust neither main party
Simon Clarke, the former housing secretary, says that a shortage of affordable homes “feeds into so many of our biggest social problems, from productivity to fertility, and people want their government to address rather than admire the problem”
But the Sunak’s cabinet continues to admire, rather than follow Mr. Clarke on Twitter

Durham Report: Clinton Campaign’s Ties to the Trump-Russia Collusion Narrative Revealed
The much-debated report provides details about Hillary Clinton’s prominent role in creating a narrative that Mr. Trump was colluding with Russians
Last year, the Clinton campaign was fined for failing to disclose that it’d paid the investigative firm Fusion GPS to conduct opposition research on Mr. Trump, which claimed, among other things, that he once paid prostitutes at a Moscow hotel to urinate on a bed where the Obamas once supposedly slept
The firm also produced a phony claim that the Trump campaign was covertly communicating with Russia’s Alfa Bank. The dossier and Alfa Bank claim were part of the evidence the F.B.I. used to justify investigating the Trump campaign. Mr. Durham called that “a clear warning sign that the Bureau might then be the target of an effort to manipulate or influence the law enforcement process for political purposes during the 2016 presidential election”

SCOOP! Trump Gains Democratic Support
The latest survey by Dick Morris, a veteran political adviser, and McLaughlin&Associates shows Donald Trump has surprisingly earned Democratic support
“Trump is developing a real cling, a real basis for winning a significant share of the Democratic vote against Biden, maybe 20-30% – which would be enough to swing the election,” Mr. Morris estimates
The survey also showed, the majority of Americans believe that the money, China paid to Hunter Biden, ended up in Joe’s pocket (at least partially), influenced U.S. policy towards Beijing and endangered American national interests&security

Liberal-Conservative Wars Put American Higher Education at Risk
Culture wars in the U.S. are breaking public universities into polarized camps, highlighting an emerging red-blue divide in higher education. At stake is who goes to college, whether those students feel welcome on campus and who decides what gets taught there – “critical race theory” or importance of DEI
But it all starts from school-days. A poll shows, 45% of trans adults think school made them feel unsafe. That’s why many Unis pledged to improve the climate for marginalized groups, in a Democratic bid to counter bigotry and inequality. But the Conservatives argue that colleges should be race-blind and that any other course is inherently discriminatory
Analysts claim that the politicization of higher education could produce a vicious cycle of division. “It will further advance the polarization that is a danger,” they say
