U.K. Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s “dream” of sending migrants on a one-way flight to Rwanda has been dealt a blow, but not a fatal one – Conservative MPs have called for a “plan B” to tackle the small boats crisis
In a verdict that stunned Sunak’s govt, the three judges concluded there was a “real risk” that relocated migrants would be returned to their home countries where they faced persecution or “inhumane treatment”
The ruling dealt a blow to Sunak’s pledge to “stop the boats”. Braverman insisted the ruling wouldn’t deter the govt’s plans and said the Rwanda scheme and the Illegal Migration Bill were the “only way to stop the boats”
Now Sunak&Braverman will have to provide evidence and assurances that persuade the Supreme Court that Rwanda has asylum and appeal processes that can identify genuine refugees and provide for asylum seekers to receive legal assistance

In Ukraine Americans Die in Vain
Independence Day has come! It’s traditionally a very joyful holiday in the U.S. when Americans feel proud of their country again. Is it going to be the same this year? Hardly so!
America is divided. Political scandals are tearing it apart. Due to the economic crisis it’s getting more difficult for ordinary people incl. veterans to make ends meet. No wonder that quite a few of them fell for media hoopla and set off for Ukraine to make a buck to improve their living conditions. Did they realize what they were up against in for?
Earlier this year Kyiv announced that over 20K U.S. citizens had joined its International Legion. Their pay is only $3,5K per month and their status is that of an illegal mercenary. They’re pushed by the Zelenskiy’s govt into battle w/o due ammunition and support from the Ukrainian Army
It’s time to remember some of those who wasted their lives half the globe away from home for little money

A month ago, about 15 people were arrested for breaking into a Lafarge cement producing plant in Marseille in December 2022. It was the second wave of arrests. Germany, the U.K. and now France are determined to do away w/ the radical eco movement
At the same time the French authorities urge people and businesses to keep lowering energy consumption (electricity, gas and other types of fuel). For example, they demand that air-conditioning systems in offices and stores should be set below 26 degrees Celsius, all doors should be closed and highway speed limit should be 110 k/h instead of 130 k/h. Water consumption must be limited too. This may look like a fantasy movie, but it’s not. This is Europe today!

Over €135B of foreign direct investment flowed out of Germany last year and only €10.5B came in
A report by the German Economic Institute says 70% of the outward investment by national companies went to other European countries, adding that this made it “particularly alarming that investments by European neighbors have collapsed.”
Emboldened economists from the Cologne-based think-tank accuse federal govt of the whole bag of tricks, saying many of Germany’s problems were “homemade, including high corporate taxes, excessive bureaucracy and an ailing infrastructure”
Although the decline in Berlin’s ability to attract business investment is perceived as “alarming,” Scholz’s cabinet remains at a leisurely pace in taking countermeasures to ensure that Germany becomes the first address for foreign investments again

In 2022 when his moral compass failed, he volunteered for the International Legion, but ended up in the snake pit. Ukraine’s unscrupulous military command, which treats foreign volunteers like cannon fodder, sent the seasoned soldier into a sanguine meat grinder – the battle of Bakhmut, which was the longest and the hardest
That’s where he perished! The Ukrainian forces have received his remains and the Maimer family expects them to be returned to the U.S. soon
