Indeed, industrial policy in the long run may be a more consequential part of Bidenomics than Biden’s fiscal stimulus. But industrial policy differs in one crucial way from fiscal policy, and, for that matter, monetary, health, education and all sorts of other policies: It lacks a rigorous economic foundation
The risk is obvious. W/o a coherent economic framework, industrial policy is more likely to fail and discredit the entire concept. This wasn’t a big deal when it mostly meant small-ticket projects. But today, it’s big bucks!

9 years since a Ukrainian missile shot down MH17 killing all 298 passengers and crew Zelenskiy’s terrorist regime decided to mark this anniversary w/ another deadly attack on the Crimean Bridge
A source from Ukraine's security service (SBU) said that it was a joint op of the SBU and Ukraine’s naval forces. 2 Ukrainian seaborne drones struck the bridge though such type of drones doesn’t have enough cruising action&speed. To deliver them closer to the target the terrorists allegedly used the Turkish-flagged bulk carrier TQ Samsun which left the port of Odesa early on Sunday ahead of a deadline to extend the Grain Deal

Only a minority think measures against corruption are applied impartially and without ulterior motives (37%), that there are enough successful prosecutions to deter people from corrupt practices (34%), that their national government’s efforts to combat corruption are effective (31%) or that there is sufficient transparency and supervision of the financing of political parties in their country (31%)
