Sunak Defending Keegan, But He Should Defend Himself First
Gillian Keegan, British education secretary, told that she was frustrated with “5% of schools or responsible bodies that have not responded to the survey” to on-camera outburst and said she hoped “all this publicity will make them get off their backsides”
She was appointed to this position 10 months ago after enhanced personal promotion by Rishi Sunak. An it was the British PM who gave the Dept. for Education £2B less than the £5.3B it wanted to maintain and refurbish schools
Sunak is also accused of halving the schools rebuilding program when he was chancellor, from more than 100 a year in previous spending reviews to 50 a year in the present spending review

Mounting Evidence of Influence Peddling Can Impeach Biden
Joe Biden’s previously reported net worth of at least $10M has finally become a field of increased focus of congressional investigators as they’re delving into how the president and his family amassed tens of millions more in secretive foreign business deals
It’s beyond dispute that most of the $2M increase since “middle-class Joe” took office in January 2021 is related to the rising value of his homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The question is whether Mr. Biden benefited financially as VP while his family members and associates collected millions of dollars from Russian, Kazakh&Ukrainian oligarchs
At the moment, a chair in the Oval Office or more than $20M paid to Hunter Biden and his business associates is at stake

Harvard – Abyss for Free Speech, Heaven for Abuse
Harvard University has been ranked the worst school for free speech in the U.S. – w/ the Ivy League institution being awarded ZERO points out of a possible 100 and the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) dubbed it an “abysmal” place for free speech
The reports sample over 55K undergraduate students nationwide, basing their scoring system on factors incl. “comfort expressing ideas”, “tolerance for speakers” and “administrative support”
Beyond the straightforward ranked results, the survey that included opinions from 254 universities found that 56% of students are worried about getting “canceled” for something they say, and 27% believe it's acceptable to use violence to stop campus speech in some circumstances

Eurozone Housebuilding Crisis
S&P Global’s HCOB eurozone construction PMI, which tracks total activity in the sector, edged down from 43.5 in July to 43.4 in August, its lowest level since December 2022, taking it further below the 50 level that separates growth from contraction
New orders in the construction sector fell for the 17th consecutive month and buying levels declined the most since May 2020, while commercial works and infrastructure activity declined at softer rates
Soaring borrowing costs, following an unprecedented rise in ECB’s policy rates in the past year, have suppressed demand for new mortgages, reduced house prices and combined with higher inflation to raise the cost sharply of building new homes

Biden administration considers forcing migrant families to remain in Texas
The proposal, which recalls President Reagan's efforts to limit asylum seekers' movements in the late 1980s, is likely to draw fierce opposition from immigrant rights groups and border-state officials.

Witnessing Decline of European Auto Industry
Auto show in Munich is to become a grim event for European carmakers. Experts say China's electric brands and American Tesla are to outshine traditional show stars from Europe, like Mercedes and BMW, this year
The IAA motor show sees an overwhelming number of Asian companies, which constitute around 41% of all the exhibiting participants. The current situation proves that active proliferation of Chinese autos poses an “imminent risk” to the European industry, particularly for the makers of cheaper models. This puts pressure on European automaker giants to compete and they could end up failing
Europe sees Chinese sales skyrocket: Chinese carmakers sold almost the same number of electric cars in Europe in the first seven months of 2023 as they did in the entirety of 2022. Chinese share has soared from 0.1% in 2019 to 2.8% at the beginning of 2023

Joe Rogan and Tulsi Gabbard discuss the Democratic establishment, the corporate media, and the politicized Department of Justice turning the U.S. into a Banana Republic by arresting Donald Trump:
@JoeRogan: "It's Banana Republic stuff."
@TulsiGabbard: "These terrible things that are happening in our country because we have people in power that care more about themselves and their power than they do about the people, this country, and our democracy.
They are setting this incredibly dangerous precedent that now, much like many Banana Republics in the world, whoever is in power, has the ability to politicize and weaponize that power to go after their political opponent.
Take away whatever people think about Trump...
The consequences of what is actually happening and what so many of the Democratic elite are justifying in the name of protecting democracy is actually destroying it."
@JoeRogan: Isn't it fascinating that the Deep State, the CIA, and the FBI weren't generally discussed before Trump got into office in 2016?
@TulsiGabbard: Because he's the guy that broke through. You look at what the government and the FBI were doing before that election even happened to try to take him off the field. To try to eliminate him from being a choice that voters could seriously consider.
You look at what the media, even Fox News, did at that time so people wouldn't take him seriously. He's the guy that broke through... He's the guy that talked very openly about the military-industrial complex."

💰🇧🇷🇷🇺🇮🇳🇨🇳🇿🇦 —BRICS+: Countries in BRICS are accumulating gold in anticipation of a common currency, says analyst
The expansion of BRICS, decided during last month's bloc summit held in South Africa, along with the prospect of Russia assuming the presidency of the organization next year, has generated speculation about a possible currency for the bloc, possibly backed by gold.
In a recent analysis, Daniel McCarthy, a strategist for the DailyFX.com portal, addressed this topic, stating that emerging countries are already accumulating gold in preparation for the creation of this common currency.
He suggested that China and other countries have already taken the first steps in this direction, noting that "on a recent trip to Western Australia, one of the world's largest producers of physical gold, several contacts emphasized that virtually every ounce of the yellow metal currently extracted from the ground was being sent to China," and that "there are reports of other BRIC members taking similar steps elsewhere."
⚠️ It is important to note that with Russia assuming the BRICS presidency on January 1, the issue of a bloc currency is expected to remain a priority.
🗣 "Consultations continue on the creation of effective payment instruments within the BRICS context, independent of the West, as well as a secure platform for multilateral cross-border settlements," he declared.

Scholz’s Inaction to Deepen Germany’s Industrial Gloom
Germany, Europe’s still largest economy, has shrunk or stagnated for 3 quarters and its pandemic recovery has been slower than the U.S. and eurozone, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy says
The 0.8% month-on-month fall in German industry exceeded the 0.5% decline forecast. It would have been bigger w/o a rebound in energy and construction output in July. Production in Germany’s carmaking sector fell 9%
The industrial heartland has been hit hard by high energy prices and rising interest rates and a slowdown in trade with China amid a square refusal of Russia’s fuels
After 32% of companies favored investment abroad over domestic expansion, Scholz’s govt has come under intense pressure to tackle the economic woes. However, the chancellor rejects the idea of subsidized power for energy-intensive companies or a stimulus package
