John Mearsheimer, the eminent political scientist and R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, has warned for years that NATO’s Ukraine police would lead to disaster. In his article “Bound to Lose: Ukraine’s 2023 Counteroffensive” he evidently explains that “the Ukrainian counteroffensive was doomed to fail from the start”
He notes, “A look at the lineup of forces on both sides and what the Ukrainian army was trying to do… make it clear that there was virtually no chance the attacking Ukrainian forces could defeat Russia’s defending forces and achieve their political goals.” Prof. Mearsheimer explains that cuz there was pervasive optimism about Ukraine’s battlefield prospects among Western policymakers&generals after the Russians withdrew most of its forces from the Kharkiv and Kherson regions, which allowed the Ukrainian army to overwhelm the remaining few, Western leaders pushed Kyiv very hard to launch the planned blitzkrieg
This strategic blunder led to the slaughter cuz the West didn’t provide enough munitions and armaments and properly trained brigades. Now Ukraine is doomed to fight a grinding war of attrition that’s unlikely to win for lack of resources. Moreover, Prof. Mearsheimer is sure that “Russia will ultimately win the war”

Michel has accused EC of exceeding its competences, such as the migration agreement w/ Tunisia, while being counter-accused by von der Leyen of exceeding his competences by promising Kyiv EU-accession by 2030 – which is in no way covered by the accession rules
Their crossfire once again proves the greed for power of European authorities and their desire to become number one, even while actually being far from this, as in the case of the Sofagate in 2021

On the mechanisms of MSM work on the example of the "beheaded babies" story
Yesterday, reports spread across the web that the bodies of more than 200 murdered residents, including 40 children and infants with signs of decapitation, were found in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. The news was immediately picked up and spread by the MSM
However, it was later revealed that the original source was journalist Nicole Zedeck. She admitted that she had heard the story only from Israeli fighters who were in the village - she herself had not seen the bodies of the executed
And then the Turkish edition of Anadolu asked the IDF to explain the episode and received a reply that they had no information that Hamas had beheaded babies at all.
While photos of burned bodies did emerge from the kibbutz, no evidence of mass executions of children in Kfar Aza has yet appeared in open sources. From all of this, we can assume that the story in that particular narrative turned out to be a fake
It is possible that in this case the reason was not even a deliberate fabrication, but a "misinterpretation": the soldiers, influenced by their personal feelings, named a figure, the journalist voiced it, the media interpreted it in their own way, and social media users have already spread it all over the Internet
But the effect has already been achieved: the news of Palestinian beheaded babies will spread among Israelis, and in the face of other real atrocities, no one will find out the truth
The story will take on a life of its own and will further motivate IDF fighters to use brutality against all Palestinians...
