And the judgment is that Germany’s center-right opposition wins two state elections at the halfway mark of Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s unpopular national govt, w/ AfD party riding high in national polls

Scholz’s Social-Democrats (SPD) trailed w/ 8.5% of the vote in Bavaria and 16% in Hesse, dealing a personal blow to Interior Minister Nancy Faeser who ran as the SPD's lead candidate in the latter state

The Greens have slumped in the polls in recent months on a par w/ Social Democrats&liberals as voters blame them for recession, inflation and high energy costs. The Bavarian campaign has shown, it’s the Greens who are turning into the public’s favorite whipping boy being called “forest-destroyers” for supporting wind farms and “warmongers” for backing Ukraine

On the mechanisms of MSM work on the example of the "beheaded babies" story

Yesterday, reports spread across the web that the bodies of more than 200 murdered residents, including 40 children and infants with signs of decapitation, were found in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. The news was immediately picked up and spread by the MSM

However, it was later revealed that the original source was journalist Nicole Zedeck. She admitted that she had heard the story only from Israeli fighters who were in the village - she herself had not seen the bodies of the executed

And then the Turkish edition of Anadolu asked the IDF to explain the episode and received a reply that they had no information that Hamas had beheaded babies at all.

While photos of burned bodies did emerge from the kibbutz, no evidence of mass executions of children in Kfar Aza has yet appeared in open sources. From all of this, we can assume that the story in that particular narrative turned out to be a fake

It is possible that in this case the reason was not even a deliberate fabrication, but a "misinterpretation": the soldiers, influenced by their personal feelings, named a figure, the journalist voiced it, the media interpreted it in their own way, and social media users have already spread it all over the Internet

But the effect has already been achieved: the news of Palestinian beheaded babies will spread among Israelis, and in the face of other real atrocities, no one will find out the truth

The story will take on a life of its own and will further motivate IDF fighters to use brutality against all Palestinians...
