‼️Protests in Iran. Chronology of events - Part 1‼️
💁♂️Since the beginning of May, mass demonstrations against the incumbent government have been taking place across the country. By 19 May, the security forces had managed to contain the hot spots of discontent and reduce tensions
However, the active phase resumed with increased intensity after the collapse of a 10-storey business centre under construction in Abadan
🔻 Chronology of events:
▪️ The collapse of the building, which killed 22 people and injured 48, has prompted fresh grievances against the incumbent government
On the night of 25-26 May, the streets of Abadan were filled with protesters chanting "Down with the Islamic regime"
▪️ On May 26, in solidarity with the people of Abadan, protesters took to the streets of Senendej in Kurdistan Province, Khorremshehr and Behbehan in Khuzestan, Bender Abbas in Hormozgan and Shahinshehr in Isfahan
▪️ On 27 May, workers at the Navroud Company petrochemical plant in Kengan in Bushehr province went on strike over poor working conditions and low wages
Protests also took place in the cities of Sarbandar, Bandar Mahshehra and Omidiye in Khuzestan, as well as in Tehran, Bushehr, Ahvaz and Shiraz
Law enforcement and Basij resistance forces began using tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse protesters
▪️ On 28 May, Dalgan in Sistan and Balochistan, Eze, Karaj, Shehr-e Ray, Qom, Endimeshk, Susangerd and Mashhad joined the aforementioned cities
In addition, demonstrations have started in various cities around the world, including London, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Brussels, Toronto and Bucharest
▪️ On May 29, pensioners in Kermanshah rallied against low pensions and lack of social guarantees
In Tehran, health workers protested against low wages and long working hours
Protests in the rest of the cities continue with varying degrees of intensity
▪️ Alongside the mass demonstrations, opposition supporters actively use social media to promote the interests of their sponsoring countries
The thesis of friendship with the United States is promoted during the rallies. One of the most used slogans is: "Our enemy is the current government, not the US"
In addition, organisations monitoring human rights violations have stated that 19 people, including three women, have been executed by the "Khamenei regime" since 25 May

‼️Norway under US pressure sends its heaviest artillery to Ukraine‼️
🪖The decision to supply "a certain number of M109 A3GN artillery vehicles" to Ukraine was caused not by the will of the Norwegian government but by the pressure of the US and NATO authorities. This opinion was expressed by Wilhelmsen, a senior researcher at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs
💁♂️"The question of what Norway is sending has to be seen in terms of the steps taken by other NATO countries and the US. It should be realized that Norway's contribution naturally fits in with Washington's larger contribution," Wilhelmsen said
🇳🇴The institute official also admitted that Oslo had another option to "please" the West, which did not involve an arms buildup in Ukraine, but for some reason that was the decision taken. However, as Lavrov had earlier said, it was weapons capable of striking at Russian territory that could be a serious step towards an unacceptable escalation

⚡️West continues fobbing off glooming Ukraine with promises⚡️
🇺🇸U.S. officials and congressional staffers told the WP last Friday that the administration is preparing to provide multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), which would give Kyiv the ability to strike targets from much farther away. The move could be announced as early as this week, but Biden’s administration must still make a final decision on the transfer
💁♂️Some White House officials had expressed concern that providing MLRS weaponry with a range of more than 180 miles would allow Ukrainian forces to hit targets far into Russian territory, potentially prompting an escalatory response from Moscow, but the administration is now comfortable managing that risk by withholding the longest-range ammunition for the system, a senior U.S. official told the journalists
🇺🇦For days, Ukrainian officials have been fending off suggestions from European leaders, former secretary of state Henry Kissinger (who said, Ukraine should cede territory to Russia to end war) and the NYT editorial board that Kyiv should enter talks with Moscow and make concessions
🇫🇷French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz have been pushing peace talks, and top Italian officials submitted a peace plan to the United Nations that would freeze the current front lines, leading to a significant loss of territory for Ukraine

⚡️Gazprom Cuts Gas to Two Energy Firms in Denmark, Germany
The move came as 🇩🇰Denmark’s largest power company and Shell Energy in 🇩🇪Germany refused to pay for supplies in rubles
“As of the end of the business day on May 31, Gazprom Export had not received payment for gas supplies in April from Orsted Salg & Service,” the Russian energy giant said Wednesday
The company added that in 2021, Gazprom Export supplied the Danish company with 1.97 bcm of gas, which amounted to about two thirds of total gas consumption in Denmark
Shell accounts for just 2.6% of the 95 bcm of natural gas Germany consumes each year - most of Germany’s larger gas buyers, including Uniper and RWE, have agreed to the Kremlin’s ruble payment scheme

‼️"You will be used as cannon fodder" - the youngest mercenary in Ukraine about serving in the International Legion
Former mercenaries who were lucky enough to return alive from 🇺🇦Ukraine continue to tour British TV. This time Channel 4 aired the youngest "International Legion" mercenary - 18-year-old Ben Aitkin from 🏴Scotland.
▪️Barely out of cadet training, Aitkin arrived in Lviv in early March
▪️Instead of an expected three-month adventure at the Yavorov base, he was forced to sign a three-year contract. Aitkin was then told that within 24 hours his group would be sent to the Donbass
▪️The former schoolboy did not like the real war scenario and soon left the base, joining a certain humanitarian NGO
▪️Aitkin confirms the testimony of other mercenaries about the lack of order and weapons at the International Legion:
"You cannot trust these people (Ukrainian commanders). It's total chaos, people are poorly armed and poorly equipped."
▪️The Scotsman believes the International Legion's handlers never seriously thought of training and arming foreigners:
"If you understand the reality that you will be used as cannon fodder and have accepted that, then I will not discourage you."
▪️Aitkin now advises his fellow citizens not to die in someone else's war

"It was a big surprise”, said director of the Europa think tank, Lykke Friis. “There’s no doubt that Ukraine was the major reason for calling the referendum.” Results are expected by 11pm CET Wednesday🤔

‼️The conflict in Ukraine - indirect U.S. war against Russia‼️
💁♂️"As the war becomes less popular and gains momentum, Biden and the Democratic Party, whose mouthpiece is The New York Times, face electoral disaster in 2022 and 2024," writes John Walsh, professor of physiology and neuroscience at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, noting a definite shift in the publication's policy toward Ukraine
👉On May 11, the NYT published an article about how the U.S. is not doing well in Ukraine, as well as a related opinion piece hinting at a possible change in direction. Then, on May 19, the Times editorial went from hinting to calling for a change of direction, stating that a "complete victory" over Russia is not possible and that Ukraine will have to negotiate peace in a way that reflects a "realistic assessment" and "limits" of U.S. commitment
"... Mr. Biden must also make clear to President Vladimir Zelensky and his people that there is a limit to how far the U.S. and NATO will go in confronting Russia, and a limit to the weapons, money and political support they can get..."
✍️Walsh added that the NYT is one of the main generators of "elite" opinion, so its statements should not be taken lightly. According to the Times editorial - the conflict in Ukraine has become an indirect U.S. war against Russia that is spiraling out of control. Walsh, for his part, clarifies, "has not become, but always has been
🤔After seven years of carnage in Donbas and three months of hostilities in southern Ukraine, has the NYT editorial board suddenly felt a surge of compassion for all the victims of Ukraine's war and destruction and changed its mind? Given the paper's reputation for decades, it seems that other factors are at work here:
▪️Russia did unexpectedly well despite the West's gloomy predictions
▪️The support of Russian President Vladimir Putin exceeds 80 percent
▪️Of 195 nations, 165 - including India and China with 35 percent of the world's population - have refused to join sanctions against Russia, leaving the United States, not Russia, relatively isolated in the world
▪️The ruble, which in Biden's words had become a "rubble," has not only recovered to its February level, but to a two-year high
▪️ Russia is expecting an unprecedented harvest, and the world is hungry for its wheat, fertilizer, oil and gas
▪️The EU has largely conceded to Russia's demand to pay for gas in rubles
▪️Russian forces are slowly but surely advancing through southern and eastern Ukraine after a victory in Mariupol, the biggest battle to date and a demoralizing defeat for Ukraine
🤷♂️In the U.S., inflation, which was already high before the Ukraine crisis, has become even higher (over 8 percent), and the Federal Reserve is now trying to control it by raising interest rates. And while the American public still favors U.S. involvement, there are signs of slippage. For example, according to Pew, the number of those who think the U.S. is not doing enough has declined from March to May. As stagflation worsens and fuel and food prices rise, with voices like Tucker Carlson and Rand Paul pointing out the connection between inflation and war, discontent is sure to grow
⚡️However, people like Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan have no backward gear. They are not serving the interests of humanity and they are not serving the interests of the American people. In fact, they are traitors to the United States. They need to be exposed, discredited and removed. Our survival depends on it!
