In your interactions with people, sit with the people of faith and choose honest companions.
Exert your effort in bringing happiness to others, even if it is merely with a kind word, and always strive to have the high hand (i.e., to be in a position to give).
When you give, do not expect anything in return. If you are met with ingratitude, do not be upset. Instead, expecting such reactions is gentler on your heart and more comforting to your mind.
And know that good character is not based on reciprocal exchange but on following (the Sunnah).

The Five Pillars of a Happy Muslim Home is a comprehensive guide for those preparing for marriage, parents seeking suitable suitors for their children, and couples looking to strengthen their relationships. Drawing insights from early and contemporary scholars, this book offers an in-depth exploration of marital love and the importance of choosing a spouse for the right reasons. It thoroughly explains marriage in Islam and the key principles contributing to a happy and lasting union.
Marriage in Islam serves five core purposes: chastity, which fulfills natural desires lawfully; children, to raise righteous youth; companionship, to build a supportive and loving family; community, strengthening society through the marriage bond; and commitment, ensuring a lasting union through the right intentions.
The book is divided into three chapters:
Chapter 1: The Blessing of an Islamic Marriage
This chapter presents marriage as a sacred bond that requires dedication and effort. It emphasizes marriage's spiritual and social benefits and positions it as a prophetic tradition that provides numerous blessings.
Chapter 2: The Secret Behind Spousal Love
This chapter focuses on the foundation of love in marriage and explores the roles of faith, mutual respect, character, honesty, and conflict resolution in building lasting affection between spouses.
Chapter 3: Marrying for the Right Reasons
The final chapter highlights the significance of intention in marriage and aligns it with the five core objectives. It delves into the essential aspects of marriage, such as family responsibilities, financial support, and cooperation, offering a balanced approach to marital life.
The book concludes by addressing two questionable marriage practices: those entered with the intention of divorce and misyār marriage, offering thoughtful insights into their potential risks.
This book is a must-read for anyone seeking to build a happy, blessed Muslim home in alignment with Islamic values. Success is with Allah alone.

♦️𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
He says, [what's your] advice to students of knowledge on patience in Da’wah, unity, and visiting one another❓
🅰️𝐍𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐑: This is a duty. We must endure each other’s shortcomings, visit one another, and remind each other. A person is weak and cannot stand alone, and the wolf devours the isolated sheep. So beware.
You are entrusted with a great and blessed mission: this is the call of the people of truth. Do not change it by way of some of our [bad] manners, impatience, or separation and avoid idle talk that sows discord and spreads seeds of division. Be wise, speak only good or remain silent. Let your words be about promoting the call, strengthening brotherhood, and praising those active in the field of Da’wah.
Abandon excessive criticism. Avoid saying, “So-and-so did this” or “So-and-so said that.” We all make mistakes. Those working in Da’wah—teaching people, studying, issuing fatwas—will inevitably err. Even the scholars are not infallible. So you come along and pursue the error and agitate [the situation], and you speak here and there.
If you come across a mistake from your brother or hear something [wrong], gently correct it. Assume good thoughts and expect that he will rectify. If he does not accept your advice, then turn to someone better and closer to him [to address the matter].
We are in a time where people refuse to listen to one another, and this is due to the influence of devils—both human and jinn—who have entered among us and caused divisions. However, when you praise one another, speak well of one another, visit one another, and inquire about one another, it strengthens your bonds. This is not limited to the youth [but extends] even to the neighbours of the mosque, the elders, and those who pray with us. If someone is absent, travelling, or ill, ask about them and visit them. These are the rights Muslims have over one another.
The people here [the Shaykh was in Mukalla City District, Ḥadhramaut] by default are followers of the Sunnah. Even those who innovate [in religion]—if you visit them to clarify, advise, and remind them—may return to the truth. This is especially true if they are ignorant [and willing to learn]. Those who are students of knowledge, capable and strong, should advise and clarify with proof and evidence. However, those who are weak or fear harm should refrain.
