Why?

Pull up a chair, my friend, because it turns out that psychedelic drugs are now being eyed by the FDA at a new level for their potential to treat conditions like depression and substance use disorders.

What happened?

The FDA, in all its wisdom, has published a draft guidance to provide researchers with the do's and don'ts of designing clinical trials for these psychedelic susubstances. So, instead of "Hey dude, let's try this", it's more like "Please ensure your trial design takes into account the unique characteristics of substances like psilocybin, LSD, and MDMA, and oh, don't forget about potential safety issues and misuse prevention measures"

How it can change everything?

We could be heading into an era where "trip clinics" are as common as yoga studios, and "serotonin system tweaking" becomes a normal part of wellness routines, all thanks to the FDA opening the door to serious research into these substances.

https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/in-a-worlds-first-australia-legalises-ecstasy-magic-mushrooms-for-mental-health-4168002

Alright, gather everyone! yesterday we had a very important event.

"Why?" you ask. Well, the folks in Australia have gone bonkers - in a good way. They've legalized ecstasy and magic mushrooms to treat certain mental health disorders. So, the next time you're feeling a bit down under the weather, you might want to book a flight to Sydney. The Aussies might be onto something here, people!

"What?" Starting from July 1, your friendly neighborhood psychiatrist can now prescribe you some good old MDMA for that PTSD you've been grappling with, or magic mushrooms if you're dealing with some stubborn depression

How you wonder, will this change the future?

Well, brace yourselves for the psychedelic revolution!

I see a future where mental health treatments are as much a journey of self-discovery as they are about healing. So, here's to Australia, leading us into a future where we embrace the magic in the mushrooms and the ecstasy in MDMA!
https://thedalesreport.com/psychedelics/billionaire-mets-owner-steve-cohen-donates-5m-for-psychedelics-research/

"Why?"

Here's the thing, friends, we've got a billionaire Mets owner, and founder of P72 Ventures ( just recently met some folks form there 😅) Steve Cohen, throwing a hefty $5 million at the psychedelic studies because apparently, just buying a sports team wasn't exciting enough for him.

"What?"

Steve and his better half, Alexandra, are backing MAPS to legitimize the use of MDMA as a therapy for PTSD.

"How?"

This generous donation is aimed at making sure everyone has access to these potentially life-changing therapies, regardless of their financial situation. We might be heading into a brave new world where no one is denied a shot at getting better because they can't afford it. So, cheers to the Cohens for possibly turning the "high" society into a "healed" society!
Two persons who unsubscribed recently and now it's 98 people instead of 100. You don't understand what you are missing 😈 How Dare you are !!!

For the rest of the amazing creatures, I've prepared a great post about Quarter Flip. Wtf is that you will learn on the weekend 💥

Quarter flip - ideal boost for music festivals. Wtf is that?

Well, I guess most of you heard about LSD and MDMA. So if you mix them together people call it Candy Flip. The effect of this combination is awesome, it's like you are not only mentally in some other beautiful reality if you just have LSD but you also physically feel that you are fully in this reality and you are enjoying it by every cell of your body. Unfortunately there are a number of issues with this combination. First of all it's quite overwhelming mentally and after such an exciting day you may feel really hard "hangover". Secondly in this mood you are extremely subject to bond a very close relationship with a stranger and even fall in love. And finally, well we are not a teenagers ( well, at least I I'm not ), we can't do such experiments even monthly, even quarterly , it's too fucking intense 😅

Also, Candy Flip is actually quite close in it's effect to Mescaline which is somwere between LSD and MDMA but not that intense. That's why it's actually one of the greatest psychedelics for a group gathering. Known and used for ages. But Mescaline is not something that you can find everywhere and it tastes like.... Well bit uncomfortable.

So, why this big into? Well, when you know all disadvantages of a Candy Flip , Mescaline and every other alternative to boost yourself during big rave you know what to search for and how to compare.

Compare with what? With a quarter flip 🤪 my own patented combination ( joking) hmm.... But why not,... Anyway:

Quarter Flip it nothing more than a 1/4 of a candy flip, but! Despite it's super simple idea it turned out to be an amazing combination.

Technically it's a mix of 50mkg of LSD and 50mg of MDMA. Both are low doses according to Psychonautwiki but are at least 2 times abowe the treshhold

Ok long story short, here are the Advantages specifically comparing to any other options you will use to have fun during 6-8 hours festival where you want to get maximum of it.

Advantages:

- haven't had a single thought about alcohol or weed ( usually you need a lot of it to stay 8 hours alive and few extra redbuls )
- almost no uncomfortable physical side effects like you either want to drink or pee every 30 min ( comparing to any regular dose of any party drug )
- Don't have deep exidistential thoughts or unexpected breakthrough experience in the middle of the dancefloor ( comparing to full dose LSD or Shrooms)
- can experience full emotional release by dancing as hell and being in the moment by just laying on the ground to relax between dj sets
- can experience absolute calm and relaxation and meditative state of mind when you are enjoying this absolute nothing.
- everything is a bit more interesting but not completely wired comparing to regulate psychedelic dose
- feel more comfortable with police/guard comparing to full dose of Psychedelics
- can want and have sex ( comparing to full dose LSD when you don't care about those "stupid carnal pleasures" )
- and more importantly can finish it (comparing to regular MDMA dose 😅)
- less chance to fall into deeper connection with unexpected person and ruine few months of your life
- and finally you almost don't have any side effects z downs, hangovers and so on.

Well it was really quite hard to find some disadvantages but here they are:

- A bit harder to react to the fast music changes and feel it fully comparing to alco/MDMA/weed

- You are still not really feel to hangout with new people so of it's your goal you can maybe add but more MDMA but you are absolutely comfortable to be surrounded by people while if you just have quarter of LSD sometimes you just want to leave the festival and hug trees 😅

- Finally the biggest issue is that this experience can give you a feeling that WTF am I not doing this every week , so if you will try it try responsibly and always have at least 1 Month pause.

Well, I hope you enjoyed and if you want to read more "research" like this, put some emoji 🙊

Have a great weekend 👌

https://psychedelicspotlight.com/inside-ibogaine-the-overlooked-yet-promising-psychedelic-for-addiction-recovery/

Why important?

Well, my dear friends, in our world where addiction is as common as a Kardashian on Instagram, ibogaine is a psychedelic that's been overlooked for far too long. It's like the nerdy kid at school who turns out to be a genius - it has the potential to revolutionize addiction treatment, but it's been sitting quietly in the corner while the cool kids like LSD and psilocybin get all the attention.

What was done?

They're not just throwing chemicals around willy-nilly, they're conducting rigorous studies, showing that ibogaine can reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, and even reset the brain's addiction pathways. It's like hitting the reset button on your computer when it starts acting up, but for your brain.

How it can change the future?

Picture this: a world where addiction isn't a life sentence, but something you can hit the reset button on. Now, isn't that a future worth toasting to?
Scientists found where brain triggers out-of-body experiences

https://www.wsiu.org/2023-07-06/scientists-have-found-part-of-the-brain-that-triggers-out-of-body-experiences

Why important?

Well, my dear friends, it seems that scientists have finally pinpointed a part of the brain that triggers out-of-body experiences, a phenomenon that has baffled us for centuries. This discovery could potentially revolutionize our unders tanding of consciousness and self-perception.

What was done? In a nutshell, Dr. Josef Parvizi and his team at Stanford stimulated a sausage-shaped part of the brain called the anterior precuneus in eight patients. Lo and behold, each patient experienced changes in their sense of physical self, feeling as though they were floating or freefalling.

How it can change the future? Picture this: we could potentially manipulate our sense of self and consciousness, maybe even create virtual reality experiences without the need for those clunky headsets. Or perhaps, we could develop new treatments for mental health disorders, providing relief for those suffering from severe depression or anxiety.

Invest in Psychedelics or die trying ;)

Investors are now giddy like schoolchildren at the thought of magic mushrooms being used in therapy. Big names in the business world are taking notice, and the psychedelic industry is poised to become a billion-dollar market. So, what was once an excuse to listen to The Grateful Dead and eat pizza is now a therapy option for mental health. Who knew, right?

Now, some folks are even bold enough to say that psychedelic-assisted therapy is the future of mental health treatment. So, you might be getting your stock tips from someone who just got out of a session with a psychedelic toad. A word of caution, though: while psychedelic stocks might look like the golden ticket, remember, it's still a fledgling market, and not everyone's going to be the next Steve Jobs of psychedelics.

So there you have it. The lowdown on the upswing of psychedelic investments. If you ever wanted to invest in Alice's trip down the rabbit hole, now might be your chance.

Well I've actually done it already and invested few years ago in the world first psychedelic IPO of Compass Pathways and made 3x in one day 😅

$100m in Psychedelics research, suck it, AI 😅

Alright, folks, Blake Mycoskie, the Toms Shoes guy, is now investing $100 million into psychedelic research. Yes, you heard right, the shoe philanthropist is now a psychedelic philanthropist.

Apparently, he had a personal crisis, tried ayahuasca, and it worked wonders for him. Now he's hoping his donation will bring these alternative treatments into the mainstream. Who's is next ;)?

One more lab joining DMTX project with $1.5m donation.

UC San Diego research team will implement continuous intravenous DMT infusion protocols to capture what is known as the “extended state” of visions long associated with DMT.

"Our goals are to employ multi-modal approaches to study extended state consciousness elucidated by DMT to further appreciate the nature of reality as well as the role of endogenous DMT in the human body. Reliable methods for measuring DMT directly in the human brain and bodily fluids do not exist, so the intriguing possibilities that endogenous DMT may play a role in consciousness, dreaming and protecting the brain from trauma are still scientific speculation,” said Dean

Mindstade Design, YC backed Psychedelics startup showed some insights.

Well, imagine if I told you that there's a group of scientists out there who are trying to map the human brain and its responses to psychedelics and already have about 100 compounds mapped to approximately the same amount of receptors, like they're cartographers charting out new galaxies. Sounds like a plot straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster, doesn't it?

Now, here's a quote that really stuck with me from the video and I'm totally agree with it: "The range of psychedelic experience isn't over; it has barely begun." That's a statement that carries a lot of weight.

The work being done by MindState Design Labs is super important. They're not just studying the effects of psychedelics, but are trying to understand the biological basis of these experiences and separate them from set and setting effects. By correlating the subjective experiences reported by 70000 users with the biological targets of these substances, they're creating a map of the human mind under the influence of psychedelics and more importantly their combinations to precisily tune particular responses. This could potentially lead to the development of new therapeutics that can target specific regions of the brain, opening up a whole new frontier in mental health treatment.

Even particles know that the right vibe can be a game-changer 😅

You know how it goes - you're at home, bored out of your skull, so you decide to vibrate a box of particles, and voila! You've got yourself a strange new material. Just a typical Tuesday, am I right?

"An interesting picture seems to emerge," the researchers note in their report. "Tiles of the desired shapes form very rapidly, probably as a consequence of their efficient local packing. However, global alignment requires much more collective rearrangements that appear to be rare events."

From a scientific perspective, this experiment demonstrates the spontaneous formation of quasicrystals, a structure previously deemed impossible, in a granular material. The formation of these quasicrystals, which exhibit a unique blend of order and chaos, challenges our understanding of material symmetry. This discovery could potentially revolutionize fields such as insulation and electronics, given the unique properties of quasicrystals. However, further research is needed to fully understand the conditions under which these quasicrystals form and their potential applications.

Wow, DMT patches, dreams come true💥

So, you know how we've been slapping patches on ourselves for everything from nicotine to birth control? Well, now there's one for DMT. Yeah, DMT! Because hey, precise and simple DMT delivery is a huuuge pain in the ass, trust me😅.

PharmaTher's newfangled microneedle patch for DMT delivery has shown some promising results. It's worked pretty well in both male and female rats. ( I'm curious, by the way , if rats also see Elf-rats 🤓).

The microneedle patch is based on this thing called gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA), which is friendly to our bodies and can break down naturally. It's designed to deliver drugs, whether they dissolve in water or not, in a specific way by getting past the outer layer of our skin.

This is a big step forward in transdermal drug delivery tech. It could potentially change the game for how we administer a whole range of drugs, not just DMT.

Weekends Psychedelics history article: Ergot 🤓

Prepare to be blown away by the history of Ergot, a fungus that has been shaping human history for millennia. From the fall of Julius Caesar's army to Wich hunt and the birth of LSD, Ergot has been a silent player in some of the most pivotal moments in our past.

As the article beautifully puts it, "Ergot is one, if not the most influential fungi that has ever graced the Earth. It’s managed to touch and affect nearly every corner of the globe, from infesting grass and rye in Burma to Europe to the ancient Assyrian Empire."

Ergot is a fascinating organism. It contains hundreds of different compounds, some of which are psychotropic (like LSD) and some of which are poisonous.

As we continue to explore the potential of psychedelics in medicine and therapy, it's worth remembering that these substances have been with us for much longer than we often realize.
