New MDMA book review 😀

Rachel Nuwer’s I Feel Love: MDMA and the Quest for Connection in a Fractured World is clearly aimed at a broad audience. It will resonate with readers who have experienced MDMA recreationally, probably at a rave, or therapeutically, probably to heal the emotional aftereffects of deep-seated trauma. Or both. But it’s also intended for readers who have never touched the drug, colloquially known as ecstasy or molly. Perhaps it’s especially for them.

Ibogaine + 5MEO = SolderFlip 💥

Wow, two most potent psychedelics together! I bet this shit can cure even zombies 🤡

The treatment included a combination of ibogaine hydrochloride, derived from the West African shrub iboga, and 5-MeO-DMT, a psychedelic substance secreted by the Colorado River toad

War time, war news, heh.

Each Special Ops veteran received a single oral ibogaine hydrochloride dose and, on a separate day, at least three incremental inhalation doses adding up to 50 milligrams of 5-MeO-DMT, also commonly called Five or Bufo. Preparation and reflection sessions preceded and followed each treatment

5 fucking billion fucking dollars for psychedelics research 🏦 ->💸💸💸

I've Heard this discussion in one of the recent podcasts and it looks like a mind blowing initiative, but I bet it will happen. 5B$ is even less that what was used to build a ChatGPT, so you can imagine what could be done if it will be used properly.

"Nonprofit in California has started a major signature campaign for a November 2024 ballot measure that aims to raise $5bn to fund clinical research on psychedelic-assisted treatments for veterans and first responders."

New Magic mushrooms without Psylocibin but still magic 🤡

I won't fully believe untill I try but it's definitely worth covering:

After years of cultivating various species of fungi and experimenting with their genetic makeup, Psilomart was able to successfully breed five different strains of non-detect magic mushrooms that are free of illegal compounds, like psilocybin and psilocin, but contain high concentrations of other psychoactive alkaloids – Penis Envy, Golden Teachers, Alcabenzi, Mazatapec, and Burma.

Sounds like a fucking bullshit but here is the catch:

There are many secondary alkaloids in magic mushrooms, like baeocystin, norbaeocystin, hydroxy-NMT, and many more. Some work synergistically with psilocybin to produce better effects, while others are hallucinogenic all on their own. For example, researchers theorize that baeocystin produces effects very similar to psilocybin, and it also metabolizes into psilocin in the human body, just like psilocybin does.

So, technically it's almost the same approach that we have with Weed, there are non-THC strains that contain HHC which also works but maybe less effective. And HHC is legal in Greece.

TLDR: if the legislation in some countries stated Psylocibin but not mushrooms, this thing may be kinda legal 🤡

Year another donation to the industry

With the help of former Tesla (TSLA) director and Valor Equity Partners founder Antonio Gracias, Harvard University is getting back into psychedelics. Earlier this week, the university announced its creation of the interdisciplinary Study of Psychedelics in Society and Culture, courtesy of a $16 million donation from the Gracias Family Foundation.

P.S.
The total amount just from donations listed in the article are over $46.35 million.

What about Europe?

MEP Action for the Medical Use of Psychedelics is a cross-party platform on psychedelic medicines in the European Parliament. The MEP AG was established in May 2023 and the secretariat is jointly provided by PsychedelicsEUROPE and PAREA.

The group’s key objective is to accelerate the preparation of the regulatory landscape for psychedelic medicines in the EU Single Market. The group should also provide insights and recommendations for the regulators and policymakers for dossiers relevant to PAT, such as the above-mentioned revision of the EU Pharma Legislation or the emerging EU mental health strategy.

Ketamine therapy in New York in figures.

1. No official tally exists, but the nonprofit American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists and Practitioners lists seven members as practicing in New York City and 24 members listed in New York state overall. This number likely represents a low estimate of clinics given a quick internet search reveals way more on Yelp.

2. Intravenous ketamine treatment can be expensive, costing between $300 to $1,000 per session. Insurance does not generally cover these IVs for psychological conditions given their off-label prenoscriptions, but some providers accept out-of-network claims depending on a person’s individual coverage

3. Session lasts about 90 mimutes an admission and then talking therapy if required by patient. When the infusion ends, there’s a 10 to 15-minute stretch that Franke describes as the “washout period.” This is when the effects of ketamine are wearing off. Once this ends a clinician speaks to the patient about how they’re feeling and if they would rather reflect on the experience with them or in private. After the clinician determines that the patient is safe to leave, they are welcomed to a designated reflection and recovery space, where they can journal, read, draw, and gather their thoughts before going back into the world.

P.S. interested in alternatives in Israel ?;) DM

Shit happened, but it's a part of life

Or never drive a plane on shrooms because:

On Oct. 22, Alaska Airlines Flight 2059 left Paine Field in Everett, en route to San Francisco. Somewhere between Astoria, Oregon and Portland, Emerson is accused of trying to grab and pull two red fire handles that would have activated the plane’s emergency fire suppression system – cutting off fuel to the engines.

Yes, sooner or later some sort of event like this should happen. And there will be many more examples of bad examples with psychedelics. Buts I don't think we should worry about thisbcae and blame psychedelics it can be a bottle of bear or anything else that can lead to such effect. It's obvious that no matter what would be the legal status of psychedelics, it's not OK to drie a fucking plan on mushrooms, or at least if there are other people... and they are real 😅.

The Psychedelic Flashback Phenomenon" 🌀

Ever wondered what happens after the psychedelic trip ends?
Dive into Ed Prideaux's eye-opening journey with "psychedelic flashbacks," a lesser-known after-effect of psychedelic drugs like LSD and Psilocybin.

Imagine seeing your world transform - cupboards "breathing," rainbow trims on piano keys, and intense visual halos. That's what Prideaux experienced, leading him to discover Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (HPPD). It's not just a rare condition but a puzzling one, with effects ranging from fascinating to deeply distressing.

With psychedelics inching closer to mainstream medical acceptance, this exploration raises crucial questions: How common are these flashbacks? What do they mean for the future of psychedelic therapy?

"At present, researchers don't know exactly how common HPPD or flashback phenomena are, since psychiatrists in clinics only see those who are troubled by the effects. In 2011, an online questionnaire of just under 2,500 users of psychedelics (and other drugs) found that around a quarter reported at least one persistent visual on a constant basis, and 4% to the degree that they were contemplating medical help."

Just take shrooms, and fear will disappear 😅

I hear more and more mixes of various therapies and psychedelics from IFS
+Ketamine and now Exposure therapy +Shrooms.

"Exposure therapy, a widely employed approach in the treatment of PTSD, systematically exposes individuals to the stimuli that trigger their fear with the aim of teaching them that these stimuli no longer predict danger; the effectiveness of exposure therapy varies among individuals."

"Zoladz investigated whether the fungal psychedelic psilocybin has the potential to augment the fear “extinction” process involved in exposure therapy. Psilocybin is well-known for its ability to increase serotonin activity, a neurotransmitter associated with mood regulation and fear processing"

By the way, what about phobias? I have an anecdotal examples of arachnophobia person who met spider in the trip. 🤡 up

Israel will definitely lead psychedelics wave

While it's a huge tragedy it's actually could be the biggest research on psychedelics assistant therapy for reeeealy bad trips. Methods that will be used to cure trauma that was done during psychedelics trip will be extremely valuable for the future Psychodelics renessans.

2024 Research quatas for psychedelics stay the same 😢

The large increase in manufacturing of all other tetrahydrocannabinol may be due to growing interest in isomers such as delta-8-THC and delta-10-THC.

For 2024, the agency is so far keeping the psychedelics quotas the same as in the recent 2023 revision. The proposed limit is 15,000 grams for psilocybin, 24,00 grams of psilocyn and 150 grams of ibogaine. Substances like MDMA, LSD, 5-MeO-DMT and mescaline will remain at 2023 established levels that had represented significant increases under prior quotas.

RIP Roland Griffiths 😢

I've just finished watching a psychedelics course on Edx, and Roland Griffiths was on of the lecturers, he was very interesting person and I thought I definitely should follow him.

I was shocked to hear that he died just few days before i decided to do it...

But the story makes me feel very inspiring.

Ukraine Psychedelics therapy legalization

Ukraine has seen a soaring number of severe mental disorders amid its war with Russia. Can illegal substances like MDMA and psychedelic drugs help treat those who have post-traumatic stress?

That was expected. Your bets, how fast it will happen in Ukraine?🤔

Experts in Ukraine are appealing to parliament to facilitate the therapeutic use of these substances. Ksenia Voznitsyna, director of the Ukrainian Health Ministry's Center for Veterans' Mental Health and Rehabilitation, is a leading voice in the campaign. "We are driving these changes forward," she told DW

The month of Psychedelic policies 😅

EU have a pivotal moment towards Psychodelics use.

The ongoing revision of the pharmaceutical package in the European Parliament presents a unique opportunity for the realm of psychedelics,” Czech MEP Mikuláš Peksa said during a meeting organised by the action group for the Medical Use of Psychedelics, set up in May this year by seven MEPs to persuade fellow MEPs of the potential of psychedelics in mental healthcare and to advocate for their safe, regulated use.

Parliament’s public health committee is currently mulling the contested proposal for the largest reform to the EU’s pharmaceutical legislation in over 20 years.
