Have Anxiety? Take LSD🤪

LSD now officially and efficiently can help with anxiety with only 100ug dose. What do I think? Hmmm. Yes, god damn it, we already know it 😂.

Some history facts:

2013 breakthrough FDA for Ketamine
2017 breakthrough FDA for MDMA
2018 breakthrough FDA for Psilocybin
2024 breakthrough FDA for LSD 😎<- we are here

"breakthrough designation is a recognition that a drug has demonstrated evidence of clinical efficacy in meeting an unmet medical need with morbidity and mortality associated with it,”

MindMed plans to hold an End-of-Phase 2 meeting with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in the first half of 2024 and initiate its Phase 3 clinical program in the second half of 2024

New research on LSD Microdosing

Let it be the week of LSD 🤪

It was found that 26 micrograms of LSD  increased brain complexity by about 12 percent compared to a placebo, without altering consciousness.

The trials were repeated in two further groups, one with moderate (7.5 mg) and high (15 mg) doses of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) from cannabis and one with medical methamphetamine at doses of 10 mg and 20 mg. In these experiments, THC, but not methamphetamine, affected consciousness at high doses.

The team's analysis of all the trials found only the 26-microgram dose of LSD had a significant effect on neural complexity, increasing it by approximately 12 percent on average when compared to the placebo"

I've personally found 50 micrigram dose very effective for a variety of things from self-healing and meditation to sex and learning new skills. However i tried this microdosing size of approximately 20 mcg just few times and it's definitely a big room for exploring the best application for such dose.

Will soon write some guides on LSD mini-dosing 😁

150m$ for Mushrooms startup 🙃

Cybin Announces Closing of the Oversubscribed Private Placement of U.S. $150 Million

The net proceeds of the Private Placement are expected to be used for certain Phase 3 drug development activities for CYB003, working capital and general corporate purposes. CYB003, is a proprietary deuterated psilocybin analog in development for the potential treatment of Major Depressive Disorder ("MDD"). If approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (the "FDA"), CYB003 would be the first known adjunctive psychedelic-based therapeutic for the treatment of MDD.

How I ate 40g of Mushrooms or measuring shrooms dose.

Actually this new research on measuring Psilocilybin in mushrooms is quite important. I've recently eaten 40gramms of some mushrooms which were offered to me as one dose.

I was a bit shocked as usually it should be 10-20 times less for one dose. But as a curious researcher I gave it a try 😅.

As you can see I'm still here and alive, though I had some conversations with entities 🙃. But subjustively it was similar to one dose.

So back to the research:

New technique measures psilocybin potency of mushrooms

Using
liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry, Schug and colleagues were able to extract and measure the strength of the mushrooms.

MOXY - new kid in Psychedelic renaissance

Mindstate Design Labs uses AI to find the best candidate for psychedelic assistant therapy.

Mindstate Design Labs has submitted its first IND, asking the FDA to greenlight a clinical trial for its lead asset targeting 5-MeO-MiPT, also known as moxy, a psychedelic selected from more than 70,000 “trip reports” to classify states of consciousness

Using large language models and natural language processing, Mindstate has built a platform that segments experiences by drug or psychedelic receptors. In some cases, the platform can visualize an experience, like color transformations

Microdosing how to.

Ever considered microdosing?

Here is the great article on this topic which includes some history, research and guidelines on how to do it properly.

As for my experience, microdosing works. Even if it's a placebo effect, it's not that harmful and expensive to try if you suffer from long lasting depression or anxiety.

Also, Paul Stemets protocol with Psilocilybin niacin and lions mane seems like the best option, but it's all quite personal.

Moses was high on DMT 😁

Well, I'll just copy some parts of the article to give you an idea.

The podcaster then went on to add: “There’s a university in Israel – I think it’s the University of Jerusalem – that theorised that the Moses experience of the burning bush was a DMT experience.

When you say that ‘Moses saw the burning bush’, well, what kind of bush would burn that would give you a psychedelic experience? Well, the acacia tree.
“The acacia tree, which is very common to that area, is rich with DMT and how do you psychoactively acquire DMT? You smoke it.

“So you’re smoking this tree – this burning bush – and you’re seeing God, and God has brought you Ten Commandments of how to live life, which sounds like a lot of what you experience when you have the DMT experience. When you have that and you have these contact with the entities, they kind of give you guidelines on how to live.”

Dark side of Ketamine🫣

Highly recommend to listen, it's just 30 minutes, but here is TLDR:

In small doses ( about 25mg) Ketamine works more like a stimulant and affect dopamine system and that's what party people like and that's where ther eis a lot of abuse. In high doses (75mg+) it works as a dissociative, that's what therapists like, that's where you hardly can party, but can solve your psychological issues.

In small doses it's actually more bad because that's where you can be highly dependant on it and at the same time you don't get any therapeutic effect.

Other issues:

1. Bladder bleeding and cystitis. Very common if you use it regularly.

2. If you overuse it you might have a depression ( lol, because it supposed to cure it ) so be careful, 6-8 sessions 2 times a week and then delay for few months
3. Don't mix ( especially with Coke) and don't do too much as you might have a cardiac arrest

Overall if you do it properly, chances are very small, but as with any other drugs, don't overuse.

DMT vs Alzheimer's, 1:0 😍

The maze test results showed mice who had been given DMT were much better at finding the target area, improving the time it took them to do so after training, than the group who were administered saline solution.

“These results suggested that chronic DMT treatment was sufficient to suppress cognitive decline of AD,” the study said.

Can Dogs Trip Out?

Ever wondered if your dog could get a buzz similar to your cat’s catnip high? Turns out, the idea isn’t as far-fetched as it seems! While catnip leaves dogs unimpressed, recent research is diving into the world of psychedelics for our canine companions.

Indigenous cultures like the Shuar and Quichua of Ecuador have been using psychoactive plants on their hunting dogs for ages, believing these substances sharpen their sense

Modern scientists are now exploring this fascinating concept. Dr. Carlo Siracusa from the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Psychedelic Collaborative is leading studies to understand how these drugs affect dogs.

Research suggests that psychedelics might enhance dogs' sensory perceptions by acting on serotonin receptors, much like they do in humans. A 2015 study highlighted that 43 different plant species used by the Shuar and Quichua could be boosting dogs' smell, hearing, and sight.

While the idea of enhancing your dog's senses sounds exciting, it's not all tail wags and rainbows. Dogs on psychedelics like psilocybin can show signs of distress: lack of coordination, aggression, overheating, and bizarre behaviors like running in circles or barking uncontrollably. There’s also a serious risk of serotonin syndrome, a potentially fatal condition from neurotransmitter overload.

And now, Fish on Psychedelics 😎

Scientists at Weizmann Institute just unlocked the secrets of psychedelics using zebrafish. By bathing these little swimmers in psilocybin researchers tracked brain changes with cutting-edge microscopy and AI. Guess what? Fish on psychedelics showed less stress and wild new brain patterns, potentially paving the way for superior depression treatments.

Our optical imaging has revealed neural activity patterns in psilocybin-soaked fish that were similar to those seen by other labs in the mammalian brain exposed to psychedelics. This indicates that psilocybin exerts its influence on behavior through neural mechanisms in deep areas of the brain that have been conserved in evolution and are also found in mammals, including humans!

California’s Latest Psychedelics Bill Dies in Committee - Psychedelic Alpha

Sad news, the bill was cancelled mostly because a budget constraint, which appears to be quite small 😔

"The Department of Consumer Affairs—which would have housed the Board of Regulated Psychedelic Facilitators—expects to see, based on boards of similar size, costs of nearly $2 million in the 2025-26 fiscal year and similar amounts in the following years. The Department further estimated that licensure fees would need to be “at least $4,960 biennially between initial applications, renewals, and other licensing categories.”

Why FDA Panel Rejected MDMA Therapy—And What’s Next For Psychedelic Medicine

The panel cited a number of issues around the credibility of the data and research practices, which were also addressed in a paper published by the non-profit Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) in March. The report highlighted “substantial concerns about the validity of the results.”
This included the blinding of the study—most patients correctly identified that they had been given MDMA—and “very strong prior beliefs” about the benefits of the treatment among both participants and therapists, which “raise concerns about bias.”

AI Creativity VS Mephedrone Comedown and Addiction 🤯

How could these two topics be related? On the surface, they seem worlds apart. But I'm always searching for connections between seemingly unrelated areas, and this skill often proves useful in hacking and entrepreneurship.

Have you ever tried to write a book using AI? It's a completely new kind of pleasure. You’re both writing and reading simultaneously—essentially creating and consuming at the same time. Normally, you either enjoy creative works like going to the theater, visiting a museum, or reading a book, or you create something like a piece of art or an article. However, there are very few activities that let you blend both experiences almost simultaneously. Perhaps DJing offers a similar sensation.

Using AI for creativity—whether you're writing a book, composing a song, or creating art—introduces a new way to have fun, where you enjoy consuming and creating simultaneously. It’s a mind-blowing experience, and if you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a go just for fun.

Now, let’s move on to Mephedrone.

To start with the basics—and with a big simplification—most chemical drugs act as analogs of certain neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are molecules that bind to specific neurons in the brain and are correlated with particular reactions. For example, dopamine makes you feel more energized and motivated, and drugs like cocaine or amphetamine mimic dopamine because their molecules are similar. Serotonin, on the other hand, makes you feel happy and relaxed, and MDMA acts similarly because it resembles serotonin (again, I’m simplifying here).

For most drugs, there’s usually one main type of neurotransmitter that the drug mimics. After consumption, this creates an imbalance in one area of the brain. For example, after taking MDMA, you experience a huge deficit in serotonin for a few days, and this feeling is really hard to deal with. This often motivates you to take more of the drug to fill this neurotransmitter gap. However, since other neurotransmitters remain at normal levels, you can eventually recover—like calling your friends, hanging out, or reading a good book to slowly increase serotonin and return to normal life.

However, there are more addictive drugs, like Mephedrone. The most problematic aspect of Mephedrone is that it simultaneously acts like both serotonin and dopamine, and it does so very effectively. As you might imagine, the comedown from Mephedrone is much harsher and more complex. Since you’re depleted of both serotonin and dopamine at the same time, it’s much harder to pull yourself out of that state—you're unmotivated to do anything, and nothing gives you joy. It’s a pretty tough place to be, which is why many people get stuck in addiction.

Now, back to creativity. Since the creative process with AI offers both a space for consumption (which increases serotonin) and creation (which increases dopamine) with minimal effort—literally, you just need to talk to a chatbot—there’s a chance that this approach could help to deal with Memphedrone comedown and probably even help addicted people return to normal life as a part of overall therapy. It might even inspire them to create amazing art because, often, people with addictions have a lot to say. Unfortunately, due to life's circumstances, they may find themselves in difficult situations far from the ability to create, but if they will be able to do that I bet they will create a masterpieces.
