The situation is becoming increasingly severe as the fires are intensifying and spreading rapidly. The flames are now within 2 miles of the town. Mandatory evacuations are also in effect in various other areas due to the wildfires. These fires have already consumed over 13,000 acres of land. Additionally, another fire has emerged in Jasper County, Texas, prompting evacuations in that area as well.
