Its extremely flexible, it can change - Brain plasticity
Yet it resists change to the extent that it appears unchangeable

Once it changes its instant

Changing the brain is like climbing a mountain to flip a switch. Once that light is switched it transforms forever, but through out the entire journey up the mountain the brain remains unchanged.
