Right now, you can see a real Orionid meteor shower and a comet that hasn't been seen for 1,350 years.
You can observe up to 25 shooting stars (!) per hour. And if you're lucky, you might even see comet C/2025 A6, which last flew past Earth in the 7th century.

The Bitcoin network's hash rate has reached a new all-time high (1161 EH/s).
To understand how much this is, imagine that one person can perform one calculation (one hash) per second
To achieve today's hash rate, it would take 1.161 sextillion people (the population of 145 Earths), each performing one calculation every second

In the UK, a 92-year-old couple bought themselves a Porsche 911 GT3 to celebrate 70 years of marriage.
Instead of a quiet candlelit dinner, they chose a sports car and now race around the streets of Bournemouth in it.
Incidentally, in 2015, the same couple bought an Audi TTS and took it on a six-week trip to Norway.
If this is old age, then so be it.

Mosquitoes have been discovered in Iceland for the first time, according to local media reports.
The insects were found by a local resident, who handed them over to specialists for examination. After examination, entomologists confirmed that they were indeed mosquitoes.
Moreover, the insects will be able to establish themselves in the local ecosystem — they belong to the species Culiseta annulata and can tolerate cold temperatures.

In Turkey, a man will pay alimony for 10 years after his divorce... for cats.
During the divorce proceedings, a man from Istanbul included a clause in the agreement stating that his two cats would remain with his ex-wife, and he would pay 10,000 lira every three months (~$235) for their upkeep until 2035 — this amount will be indexed annually for inflation.
In addition to "cat alimony," he will immediately pay 550,000 lira (~$12,200) in moral compensation as a lump sum.

Joke: An Apple employee named Sam Sung had to change his last name so as not to advertise for a competitor.
In 2012, a guy named Sam Sang got a job at the Apple Store, but at some point, a customer took a photo of his badge, and that's when it all started...
The photo with the caption "Apple — Sam Sung" quickly spread across social media and became a real meme. Apple banned Sam from communicating with customers, introducing himself, and took away his business cards.
The guy couldn't handle the meme pressure, quit his job, changed his last name to Struan, and sold his "Apple — Sam Sung" business card at auction for $2,500.
Apple will take not only your charger, but also your last name.
