I think the choice of countries is odd to say the least, there's many countries that are far worse than some of the ones listed that are not listed

Did they just throw a few darts at a map of Africa and added whichever countries they hit with them?

Also why Burma? I know there's a war going on at the moment there, but I know the Trump admin recently revoked protection status from Burmese people here, saying things were improving there, to then add it to a list of failed states we will no longer take people from, I find that strange. Did the leaders of that country recently piss off Trump or something?

I guess the question I'm asking here with regards to Burma is why is Burma on this list but not Syria? They're both largely failed states at the moment mired in civil war and ethnic conflict.

Granted I know Trump is trying to establish relations with the current Syrian regime so I'm guessing that probably has something to do with it, It just seems there's geopolitical funny business going on with Burma right now among the Trump admin and I don't understand exactly what's going on there
