The UN has renewed its urgent call to all parties in Sudan to guarantee "safe, unhindered humanitarian access" for civilians and aid workers, as violations by paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue to drive massive displacement and rising needs.
"We once again call on all parties to urgently guarantee safe, unhindered humanitarian access to protect civilians, including, of course, aid workers," spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told reporters on Monday.

Allied Gold said recent drilling at its #Kurmuk property in western Ethiopia has identified at least five new target areas, underpinning plans for a high-volume gold operation. The stock hit an all-time high.
Hole TSDD041 in the Tsenge–Hiccup Hill zone cut 16.4 metres grading 13 grams gold per tonne from 43 metres depth, while hole TSDD036 in the Tsenge–Setota zone cut 10.5 metres at 1.85 grams gold from 161 metres downhole, Allied said Thursday in a statement.

Ethiopia has reported zero active Marburg virus cases for the first time since the outbreak was confirmed on 14, November 2025, according to the Ministry of Health.
In its daily update issued yesterday, the Ministry said none of the 179 laboratory samples processed that day tested positive for the virus.
The #South_Ethiopia Regional State Health Bureau, where the outbreak was detected, also announced that two young people who had been under medical follow-up after contracting the virus have recovered and been discharged.
Endashaw Shibru, Head of the Regional Health Bureau, said the two had previously been in contact with their father, who died after being infected with the Marburg virus. “They showed symptoms of the disease, were tested in the laboratory, and once confirmed positive, underwent medical follow-up,” he stated.

The National Election Board of #Ethiopia (NEBE) has clarified that political parties have so far submitted only preliminary candidate data rather than formal registrations, and announced an extension to the submission deadline following requests raised during consultations held on 29 November 2025.
Responding to questions on preparations for the 7th general election during the consultation, the Chairperson stressed that NEBE has not begun formal candidate registration, & that the data now being collected will serve as input once that process starts.
It was announced that the preliminary data submission deadline — originally set for 17 November to 2 December 2025 in the draft election calendar — has been extended.

#Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Council donates over 200 Million birr in medical supplies
The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council (#EIASC) has donated more than 200 million Birr worth of medicines and medical supplies to public health facilities, the Ministry of Health announced today.
According to the Ministry, EIASC President Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa handed over the consignment to Frehiwot Abebe, State Minister at the Ministry of Health. Frehiwot described religious institutions as “important partners to the health sector” and urged health facilities to ensure that “the donated medicine and equipment are used for their intended purpose.”
The Ministry said the latest support was secured from the charitable organization Muslim Aid America and coordinated by Ustaz Abubakar Ahmed, Chief Secretary to the President’s Office of the EIASC.
