🍁Tests For the Believer (taken 4m salafipublications.com)
---------------------------

🍀HARDSHIPS BENEFIT THE BELIEVER

Allah has decreed that,in this life, hardships & disasters strike both believers & non-believers.For a non-believer,they are inconveniences that hinder him from proceeding with his normal involvment in the wordly life. For a believer, on the other hand, they are instances of rest & rememberance, tests that promise great rewards, and indications of atonment & expiation of sins. Regardless of how little is the harm that strikes a believer, it carries with it good news of forgivness & elevated rank ( in Jannah ).The Righteous Predecessors used to be pleased when a hardship afflicted them, seeing it as a token of Allah's forgivness & benevolence.

-🍀EXPIATION OF SINS

Abu Hurayrah (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" Hardships continue to befall a believing man & woman in their body, family,& property, until they meet Allah (S) burdened with no sins. " [ Tirmizi ]

🍀SIGN OF ALLAH'S LOVE

Abu Hurayrah (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" Whenever Allah wills good for a person, He subjects him to adversity" [ Bukharee & others ]

🍀SIGN OF EEMAN

Abu Hurayrah (radiallaahu anhu) & Ka'b Bin Maalik (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" The parable of a believer is that of a fresh & moist plant; the wind tilts it this way and that way;& so is the believer; he continues to be subject to affliction. And the parable of a hypocrite is that of a firm cedar tree; it does not shake - until it is uprooted all at once." [ Bukhari & Muslim ]

-🍀SIGN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

The prophets & righteous people are afflicted the most,& their rewards are the highest. Sa'd (radiallaahu anhu) reporeted that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" The most in their suffering among the people are the prophets, then the best, then the (next) best. One is afflicted in accordance with his deen (faith). If his deen is firm his affliction is hard,& if his deen is weak, his affliction is light. Indeed, one would be so much subjected to adversity until he walks among the people without any sins. "[ Ahmad, Tirmizi ]

-🍀EARLY PUNISHMENT

Anas (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" When Allah wills good for a servant of His, He expedites his punishment in this life;&when He wills retribution for a servant of His, He holds his sins for Him to judge him by them on the Day of Resurrection. " [ Tirmizi ]

-🍀MULTIPLICATION OF REWARDS

Anas (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" The amount of reward is in accordance with the amount of suffering. When Allah (SWT) loves some people, He tries them (with affliction). He who then is content (with Allah's decree) has achieved the acceptance (of Allah),& he who is dissatisfied (with Allah's decree) will attain the anger (of allah)." [ Tirmithee ]

-🍀REWARDS FOR SICKNESS

One should not look to sickness as a gloomy episode, but should remember the great good in it. It is one form of affliction with which Allah (SWT) tests His 'ibaad (servants), giving them a chance to aquire rewards, as was explained above, as is further emphasized below.

-🍀REMOVAL OF SINS AND ELEVATION IN RANKS

Abu Hurayrah (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" Whenever a Muslim is afflicted by harm from sickness or other matters, Allah will drop his sins because of that, like a tree drops its leaves." [ Bukhari & Muslim ]

Abu Sa'eed al-Khudree (radiallaahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

" A muslim is not afflicted by hardship, sickness, sadness, worry, harm, or depression - even if pricked by a thorn, but Allah expiates his sins because of that. " [ Bukhari & Muslim ]

One of my favorite sayings from the Salaf <3
Al-Hasan Al-Basri [رحمه اللّٰه]
When asked 'What is Imaan (faith)?':
“It is perseverance (al-sabr) from the things that are forbidden by Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, and acceptance.” He was asked, “What is perseverance and acceptance?” He replied, “Al-sabr is persevere in holding back from what Allaah has forbidden, and (acceptance is) acceptance of what Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, has commanded.”

{Abu Bakr Al-Daynuri, Al-Mujalasah wa Jawahir Al-'Ilm 3:535}

Sheikh Ibn Baaz says:
"The nudity of a woman in her dress is evidence of the anger of Allah upon her. Therefore, when Allah became angry at Adam and Hawwa, he uncovered that which was hidden of their private parts."
.
So the angrier Allah gets with the woman, the more she undresses, whereas the more Allah is pleased with a woman, the more she covers(out of modesty).
.
As Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) says:
"Oh children of Adam. Do not let Satan put you in trouble the way he had your parents expelled from Paradise, having their dress removed from them, so that he could shiw their shame."
[Surat Al-A'raf : 27]

When trust is lost...

Abu Hurairah (radiAllaahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allaah (salAllaahu 'alayhi was-salaam) said, “When the trust is lost, then wait for the Hour.”

It was said, “O Messenger of Allaah, how will it be lost?”

The Prophet said, “When authority is given to those who do not deserve it, then wait for the Hour.”

[Saheeh Bukharee]
Whenever Allah addressed the Prophet ﷺ:

🔴 He did not address his lineage,
🔴 nor his wealth,
🔴 nor his status,
🔴 nor how he looked.

But He تعالى said:

وإنَّكَ لَعَلى خُلُقٍ عَظِيم

💎KNOWLEDGE 📚
Alee Ibn Abee Taalib (رضى الله عَنْه) said:

“Verily knowledge is more precious than wealth💰.
Knowledge preserves you, while you preserve wealth.
Knowledge judges while wealth is judged upon.
The possessors of wealth have died, while the possessors of knowledge live on. Their 🎓(the scholars) bodies have passed away, but they are still present in the hearts of the people.”

[Adab Al-Dunya Wa Al-Deen, p.48]

THE DUNYA IS CURSED EXCEPT 3 THINGS.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said;

"This world is cursed, as is everything in it,⭐️ except for the remembrance of Allah, ⭐️righteous deeds,⭐️ a scholar and a student of knowledge."

The The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said;

"The virtue of knowledge is greater than that of worship and piety is best for you."

OPPRESSION

Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is oppressed.

🔘The Prophet ﷺ was asked: “It is right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?” He replied: “By preventing him from oppressing others.”

{Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Hadith 624}

🔘 Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said,

“Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him.”

{Volume 3, Book 43, Number 629: Sahih Bukhari}

🔘 Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said,

“A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection .”

It was narrated that Jareer ibn ‘Abd-Allaah said: “I asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about a sudden glance, and he commanded me to avert my gaze.”

(Narrated by Muslim, 2159)

al-Nawawi said:

What is meant by a “sudden glance” is when a person’s glance unintentionally falls upon a non-mahram woman. There is no sin on him for the first glance, but he must avert his gaze immediately. If he averts his gaze immediately there is no sin on him, but if he continues looking, then he will be a sinner, because of this hadeeth, for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) commanded him to avert his gaze, and Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things)”

[al-Noor 24:30]

Men must lower their gaze and refrain from looking at them in all circumstances, unless that is for a valid shar’i reason, such as giving testimony, medical treatment, wanting to propose marriage, buying a slave woman, engaging in financial transactions such as buying and selling, etc. In all these cases it is permissible to look as much as is needed, and no more. And Allaah knows best.

Sharh Muslim, 14/139
“We are more in need of good manners, than lots of (knowledge of) hadīth.”

Imam Ibn al-Mubarak, al-Jaami’ li Akhlaaq Ar-Raawee (v. 1, p. 80)
Learn MANNERS BEFORE LEARNING KNOWLEDGE.”

— Imam Malik to a young man from Quraysh, Hilyatul Awliyaa 6/330

》Astagfirullah! (Now I know, this our Problem, nowadays ; we put Knowledge Top of the Top before MANNERS!)
♻️Virtues of seeking Knowledge 📚

Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and (even) the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave (no monetary inheritance), they leave only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.“

Sunan of Abu-Dawood, Hadith 1631

Ruling on Trimming the Beard

Praise be to Allaah.
The Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) indicates that it is obligatory to let the beard grow and that it is haraam to shave it or cut it. It was narrated in al-Saheehayn that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Cut the moustache and let the beard grow; be different from the mushrikeen.” (al-Bukhaari, al-Libaas, 5442; Muslim, al-Tahaarah, 382)

There are many ahaadeeth which say the same as this hadeeth, indicating that it is obligatory to leave the beard alone and let it grow and that it is haraam to shave it or cut it. Whoever claims that letting the beard grow is no more than a Sunnah for which a person may be rewarded and the one who does not do it will not be punished is going against the saheeh ahaadeeth.

The report that says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to trim the length and breadth of his beard is a false hadeeth. But it should be noted that Islam is the religion of beauty, as it was narrated in the hadeeth, “[A man said,] ‘What if a man likes his clothes and his shoes to look good?’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Allaah is Beautiful and loves beauty.’” (Narrated by Muslim, al-Eemaan, 131).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) commanded [one of his companions] to change grey hair, when he said, “Change this grey hair, but avoid black.” (Narrated by Muslim, Kitaab al-Libaas wa’l-Zeenah, 2102).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recommended combing hair, and said, “Whoever has hair, let him take care of it.” (Abu Dawood, Kitaab al-Tarajjul, 3632. Al-Albaani said in Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood: it is hasan saheeh. Hadeeth no. 3509).

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said: “Ibn Battaal said: combing means tidying the hair of the head and beard, and oiling it.” This is the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “Whoever turns away from my Sunnah has nothing to do with me.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Nikaah, 4675)

It should be noted that the beauty referred to is shar’i or Islamic beauty (beauty as prescribed in Islam), and not the so-called beauty which appeals to sick minds which are enamoured of kaafir fashions and the appearance of corrupt people such as male and female actors and singers, or fashion models.

Hence when some people were misled by those immoral western women who pluck or shave or draw their eyebrows, or make their nails long (like wild beasts), or have tattoos, and thought that this is beauty, many Muslim women imitated them in these things, even though they are forbidden by sharee’ah.

The point is not what is fashionable in the east or the west, the point is the sharee’ah which advocates wearing perfume (for men), keeping clean, dressing nicely, combing the hair, changing grey hair, and other kinds of beautification which are prescribed in Islam. And Allaah is the Source of strength.
*Women Being Careless in their Hijaab and Speech!*

_Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan Hafidahullah:_

“It is upon the woman who fears Allaah and the hereafter to stay away from what many of the women are doing today such as being lackadaisical with the hijaab and easy-going with wearing decorative garments when going outside and being lax with using perfume when going out of the house and intermingling with men and joking with them.

Allaah, the Most High, said to His Prophet’s wives:

*“Then do not be soft in speech, lest he in whose heart there is a disease (of fornication) should be moved with desire. But rather speak in an honorable manner.”*
_[Ahzaab: 32]_

If a woman has a need to speak to a man that is not one of her mahaarim, she may speak to him, but with a casual tone that has no softness or gentleness in it, and not in a joking or laughing manner.

Rather her speech must be ordinary and in accordance with what necessity dictates – i.e. a question and an answer – as per the need only.

She must not speak in a tone that appears friendly, laughing or teasing, or in a mellow or beautiful voice, thus stirring the desire of the one who has a disease in his heart.

This is based on Allaah’s saying:

*“But rather speak in an honorable manner.”*
_[Ahzaab: 32]_

So the Muslim women of today must fear Allaah with respect to themselves and their societies.”

_[Taken from *“Four Essays On The Obligation Of Veiling”*._

_Chapter: *“Advice To Muslim Women”* by Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan, p. 72]_
Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan [حفظه الله] says
nowadays so many people claim to be callers to Islam, but if you look at their Methodology and conducts, you find them in complete opposition to Islam. [Sharh as-Sunnah, (Page: 460)]

Sh. Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān said:
“The common people follow any caller without knowing where they are heading to.”
[شرح السنة ٢\٣٨]

Sh al-Fawzan [حفظه الله] said:
"The most dangerous affair facing this Ummah in the present-time, are the ignorant callers who do not possess knowledge, yet call people (to this religion) with ignorance and misguidance."

[I'aanatul-Mustafeed, (1/887)]

From the authentic hadeeth of Huthayfah foretelling the people of deviation and their tribulations to be faced by people in later times (meaning): “There will be callers at the gates of Hell, and they will cast anyone who responds to them into it…”

*Speaking without knowledge CAN KILL!*

Narrated By Jabir: 'We set out on a journey One of our people was hurt by a stone that injured his head. He then had a wet dream. He asked his fellow travellers: Do you find concession for me to perform tayammum? They said: We do not find any concession for you while you can use water. He took a bath and died. When we came to the Prophet (SAW), the incident was reported to him. He said: "They killed him, may Allah kill them! Could they not ask when they did not know? The cure of ignorance is inquiry. It was enough for him to perform tayammum and to pour some drops of water or to bind a bandage over the wound (the narrator Musa was doubtful); then he should have wiped over it and washed the rest of his body."'
