It is reported that Imām Mālik – Allāh have mercy on him – said:
Whatever you fool around with, don’t fool around with your dīn (religion).

📚 [ *Seek knowledge everyday* ]
Upon the Authority of Umm Salamah (radiyallaah 'anhaa) that the prophet sallallaah 'alayhi wasallam used to say, when he had prayed the Fajr prayer, when he had given salaam;
*اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيَّبًا وَ عَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا*
"O Allaah! I ask You for beneficial knowledge, for good and pure provision, and for deeds which are accepted (by You)"

💎 Shaykh 'Abdur Razzaaq (hafidhahullaah) mentioned this Hadeeth in his Explanation of "Adab un-Nufoos" of Imaam al-Aajurree and commented saying;
*That this proves seeking knowledge must be a daily task. Everyday you must give yourself some ammount of knowledge.*

* He warned us of the society, because it is one that is deviant and astray. It (is a society) that races toward that which is incorrect and does not benefit, except for those whom Allah shows mercy.
* He warned us of pride, and he disliked for a female to be prideful and arrogant toward her husband. He would say: There is no good in her (this type of female).
* He encouraged us with abstinence in this worldly, vanishing life.
* He instructed us to intend through our eating and drinking, to strengthen ourselves for obedience to Allah, in order to receive the reward of Allah.
*He would say: Do not busy yourselves with preparing food, what is easily available, we will eat.
* He (constantly) encouraged us. He was not from those fathers who discourage their daughters and families. He made our level (of work) simple in order that we continued to progress and prepare ourselves with learning and obtaining beneficial knowledge.

Bishr Ibn Haarith [رحمه الله] said:

THE RULING ON SELLING OFF ITEMS BEFORE THEY ARE IN YOUR POSSESSION.
One should be aware that it is invalid to sell a purchased commodity before receiving it whether it is measured, weighed, counted, or measured by cubit, as the Imams agree. The same ruling applies to other kinds of commodities according to the preponderant view of the Muslim scholars (may Allah have mercy on them)for the Prophet ﷺ said:
"He who buys a foodstuff should not sell it until he has received it with exact full measure." [1]
In another narration, it reads, “.. until he has received it”. [2]
In Muslim's narration, it states, “.. until he has weighed it”.[3]
lbn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “I consider that the same ruling (of foodstuffs) is applied to all types of sales."' [4] This ruling is directly stated in the Sunnah (Prophetic Tradition).
Imam Ahmad related that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“When you buy something, you should not sell it until you have completely received it.'' [5]
Moreover, Abu Dawud related:
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling the goods where they are bought until the tradesmen take them to their houses.” [6]
Accordingly, Muslims must adhere to the aforementioned transactional legal rulings. When a Muslim buys a commodity, he is not permitted to sell it until he has fully received it.
However many people are negligent in this regard, as they buy goods and sell them before they receive them, or when they receive only part of them, and this is not a legal receipt of the goods.

Can I backbite if I don’t mention their name?

Question: May Allah grant you good O noble Shaykh, the questioner says: ‘What is the ruling on backbiting an unknown person, such that I backbite a person in the company of people who do not know him, and I do not mention his name?
Shaykh Salih Fawzan:
Even if this is the case, do not get your tongue accustomed to this. And you will be taken to account for your intention and objective; you will be called to account for you intention and objective. Thus never involve yourself in this. And what is the benefit from this action? Backbiting is permissible in the case of necessity sometimes. As in the case where a person complains to the judge; saying so and so oppressor took my right. He does this in order for the person to leave him alone. There is no problem with this. This is backbiting but this is necessary, he only spoke about him due to necessity. Or (it is permissible) in the case where a person mentions a criminal to those in charge, or to the religious police; mentioning this person so he can be apprehended and to bring about an end to his evil. This is backbiting but the benefit is greater. The benefit is to bring an end to his evil, and to protect the people from his evil.
Shaykh Uthaymeen said:
Their statement: ‘There is no backbiting when the person is unknown.’ This is correct with the condition that if the unknown person is searched for, he will not become known. (Meaning if someone tries to find out who you are speaking about they will not be able to do so)

Origin of all sins
Ibn al Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Foundation/origin of all sins are 3:
1) Al-Kibr (arrogance): It is that which converted Ibless to what he is.
2) Al-Hirss (greed): It is that which banished Adam(as) from Jannah.
3) Al-hasad (jealousy): It is that which incited son of Adam(as) on his brother.
The one who is protected from these 3 evils, he is protected from evil; so kufr is due to arrogance; and sins are due to greed; and injustice & oppression are due to jealousy.

“The Evil Eye is real, and if anything were to overtake the divine decree (al-qadar) it would be the Evil Eye.” [Narrated by Muslim: 2188, from the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Abbaas (Radiy'Allah'anhu)]
Damura ibn Tha’laba (Radiy'Allah'anhu) Narrated the Messenger of Allah, (Sallallaahu'alayhi'wasalaam), said, “The people will remain upon goodness as long as they do not envy each other.”

WHY DID YOU NOT LEARN? WHY DID YOU NOT ASK?
Shaykh Saaleh al-Fawzaan (حفظه الله) said:
وأما العلم الدنيوي فمن جهله فلا إثم عليه، ومن تعلمه فهو مباح له، وإذا نفع به الأمة فهو مأجور عليه ومثاب عليه، ولو مات الإنسان وهو يجهل هذا العلم لم يؤاخذ عليه يوم القيامة
لكن من مات وهو يجهل العلم الشرعي خصوصا العلم الضروري فإنه يسأل عنه يوم القيامة، لِمَ لَمْ تتعلم؟ لماذا لَمْ تسأل؟ الذي يقول إذا وضع في قبره: ربي الله والإسلام ديني ونبيي محمد – صلى الله عليه وسلم – هذا ينجو، يقال له: من أين حصَّلت هذا؟ يقول: قرأت كتاب الله وتعلمته.
أما الذي أعرض عن ذلك فإنه إذا سئل في قبره فإنه يقول: هاه هاه لا أدري، سمعت الناس يقولون شيئا فقلته، فهذا يؤجج عليه قبره نارا – والعياذ بالله – ويضيق عليه فيه حتى تختلف أضلاعه، ويصبح في حفرة من حفر النار؛ لأنه ما درى ولا تلا فيقال له: «لا دريت ولا تليت [أو لا تلوت]»
فهو لم يتعلم ولم يَقْتَدِ بأهل العلم، وإنما هو ضائع في حياته، فهذا الذي يؤول إلى الشقاء والعياذ بالله.
Translation:
“As for worldly knowledge (such as knowledge of the industries, professions, mathematics, engineering etc), then, whoever is ignorant of it, then there is no sin upon him, and whoever learns it, then it is permissible for him, and if he utilizes to be benefit the Nation, then he is rewarded for it. If person died and he was ignorant of this knowledge, then he will not be taken account for it on the Day of Resurrection.
However, whoever died and he was ignorant of AL-‘ILM ASH-SHAR'EE, (Knowledge of the Islamic system) particularly essential knowledge, then he will be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection: “WHY DID YOU NOT LEARN?” “WHY DID YOU NOT ASK?”
The one who says (having sound knowledge of al-ilm ash-Sharée), when he is placed in his grave: “My Lord is ALLAAH, Islam is my religion, and my Prophet is Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم),” this person will be saved. It will be said to him: “Where did you acquire this from?” So he will say: “I read the Book of ALLAAH and I learned it (from the people upon upright knowledge).”
As for the person who turns away from that, then when he is questioned in his grave, he will say:
« هاه هاه لا أدري، سمعت الناس يقولون شيئا فقلته » (Haa-haa ! I do not know! I heard the people saying something, so I said it (without investigating & without making any efforts in the search for the Truth.)
This person’s grave will be made to blaze with fire upon him – and Allaah’s refuge is sought – and it will be crushed upon him, to such an extent that his ribs will cross over, and he will come to be pit from the pits of the Hell-Fire, because he did not have knowledge and he did not read. So it will be said to him: “You did not know, and you did not read (or you did not follow)”
[Reported by al-Bukharee in abridged form as a hadeeth of Anas, (#1338). It is also reported by Muslim in abridged form as a hadeeth of Anas (#2870), and reported by Abu Dawood by al-Baraa’ bin ‘Aazib in a long hadeeth (#4753), declared Saheeh by Shaykh al-Albanee (رحمه الله)]
So he DID NOT learn and he DID NOT follow the example of the (true) people of knowledge.
Rather he was wasted and lost in his life, so this is the person who ends up in wretchedness, and ALLAAH’S Refuge is sought.”

Shaykh Saaleh al-Fawzaan (حفظه الله) said:
