Some Characteristics of Ahlus Sunnah
Ahlus Sunnah do not have a name, except (names whose meaning refers back to the) Sunnah. As for ahlul bidah, they either ascribe themselves to the person who innovated for them a religion or they are ascribed to the bidah they innovated. For example: Jahmi, Qadariy, Qaadiriy, Rifaa-iy, Raafidiy etc.
Allaah (The Most High) said:
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
”And who is better in speech than he who [says: “My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness),” and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah’s (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: “I am one of the Muslims.” [Soorah Fussilat: Ayah:33] ”And says: I am one of the Muslims.” That is: Those who submit to His (Allaah’s) command and follow His path….” [1]
Ahlus Sunnah’s anoscription to the Sunnah [of the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)] is not a mere claim, rather it is an anoscription based on reality. The claims of the (people) are numerous and if they are not established with proofs, then they are mere claims. Ahlus Sunnah do not have names, except names that return back to the Sunnah, such as:
‘Ahlul Athar’ (i.e. the people who cling to the narrations of the companions and their followers);
‘Ahlul Hadeeth’ (i.e. the people who follow the narrations of the prophet and do not give precedence to any other thing over it);
Ahlul Ittibaa (i.e. the people who strictly follow the Sunnah of the Prophet and the companions and they do not innovate in the religion);
Ahlus Sunnah (i.e. the people who follow exactly the path of the Prophet in every aspect of his life-in creed, statements, actions etc)
As-Salafiyyah [i.e. the path of the Salaf (The Pious Predecessors)- and they are the first three righteous generations of Islaam (a) Prophet and his companions; (b) then those who followed them exactly in creed, methodology and understanding in all affairs of the religion; (c) and then those who followed exactly the true followers of the companions. These are the first three generations of Islaam whom the prophet (sallal-laahu-alahi-wasallam) informed us that they are the best of generations].

❌ PESSIMISM ABOUT THE MONTH OF SAFAR IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF JAHILIYYAH ❌
📝 Fatwas of Ibn Baz.
❓Q: It is known that many people are pessimistic about the month of Safar regarding many affairs. Such people, for example, do not conclude marriage contracts during Safar. Moreover, many people believe that it is not permissible to break a stick, knot ropes, or entwine fingers when concluding a marriage contract for this leads to failure of the concerned marriage and disharmony between the spouses. Since all the foregoing are beliefs bearing on ‘Aqidah (creed), could you please advise and clarify the ruling on it? May Allah guide us all to all that He loves and is pleased with.
➡️ A: Pessimism about Safar is not permissible. It is a characteristic of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic time of ignorance).
Safar – just like all other months – does not bring good or evil, as good is only from Allah (Glorified be He) and evil is predestined by Him. Moreover, it is authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) annulled the concept of pessimism when he said:
📌There is no ‘Adwa (contagion, disease transmission naturally by itself not by the Decree of Allah), nor is there any Tiyarah (evil omen), nor is there any Hamah (pre-Islamic superstitious belief that the bones of a dead person turn into an owl), nor is there Safar (the month of Safar was believed to bring bad luck during Jahiliyyah). (Agreed upon by Imams Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
The same applies to pessimism about entwining fingers, breaking a stick, etc., when concluding a marriage contract. Such beliefs are false, baseless, and thus they should not be adopted by a Muslim. May Allah grant us all success!

Ibn ‘Uthaimīn on Buying, Selling, or Using Fireworks
Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaimīn
Categorized under: Dealings & Transactions, Fatāwá and Rulings
Questioner: […]What is the ruling of selling, buying or using firecrackers and what are called “fireworks”?
Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimīn: […]All praise be to Allāh, Lord of all creation, and may Allāh increase in His praise of our prophet Muḥammad in His highest gatherings, as well as his family and all of his companions.
What I hold is that selling them and buying them is prohibited, and that is due to two reasons.
The first reason is that it is wasting wealth, and wasting wealth is prohibited, due to the Prophet ﷺ having prohibited that.
The second is that there is a harm [and nuisance] in them to people due to their annoying noises; and on occasion, fires occur as a result of them when they fall on something flammable while they’re still live, not having been extinguished.
So due to these two reasons, we hold that they are prohibited, and that it is not permissible to sell them or buy them.

Virtues of ʿA‘isha.
١. She was the dearest wife of the Prophet ﷺ.
٢. The Prophet (ﷺ) did not marry any other virgin but her.
٣. He did not marry a woman whose parents were both Muḥājrīn except her.
٤. Allāh revealed many verses from the heavens regarding her innocence.
٥. She always had knowledge on something the Saḥāba were unsure of.
٦. Jibrīl brought my portrayal from the heaven in silk and said to the Prophet (ﷺ), “marry her, she will be your wife.”
٧. He and her used to bathe from the same vessel, and he did not do that with any of his wives except her.
٨. The revelation would come to him while he was with her, and it did not come down when he was with any of his wives except her.
٩. Allāh took his soul while he was against her chest.
١٠. He died on the night when it was her turn.
١١. He was buried in her room.

THE SOWING OF SINS
The sources of every sin are three matters:
1. Arrogance which caused Satan behave the way he did
2. Greed which caused Adam to be expelled from the garden
3. Envy which emboldened one of the sons of Adam against his brother.
He who protects himself from these three matters will be protected from evil. Unbelief comes from arrogance, disobedience comes from greed, and transgression and injustice come from envy.

‘Every Muslim should be warned of the oppression of:
‘I – My/Mine – I Possess’
...
Indeed these three words are what Iblees (Shaytan), Fir’awn and Qaroon were tried with.
Iblees said: ‘I am better than him’
Fir’awn said: ‘Is not mine the Kingdom of Egypt,’
Qaroon said: ‘This has been given to me only because of knowledge I possess.’
So regarding the saying of the Slave of Allaah ‘I’ – then the best that he can be described with is:
“I am a slave who sins, makes mistakes, seeks forgiveness and recognizes this.“
So regarding the saying of ‘My/Mine’ – and those statements similar to that is:
“My sins, my crimes, my humbleness, my depravation and submissiveness.”
So regarding the saying of ‘I Possess’:
“Forgive me for my mistakes and what I do intentionally, in jest, or in seriousness and I possess all these shortcomings.”

‼️ The worst of your women are the ones who commit Tabarruj!
➡️The Messenger of Allaah (may the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "And the #worst of your #women are the ones who commit #Tabarruj, who strut around in #arrogance. They are the #hypocrites. None from among them (i.e. these women) will enter #Paradise except (those who are) like the #rare-crow." (Reported by al-Bayhaqi in his Sunan 7/82) and authenticated by al-Albanee in his as-Saheehah (4/1849)
Commentary::
Allaah azza wa jal mentions in his Noble Book: "And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves immorally (tabarruj) like that of the Days of Ignorance. And establish the prayer and give the Zakaat and obey Allaah and His Messenger" (Surah Al-Ahzaab:33)
✒Ibn Katheer (rahimahmullaah) said:
. -Mujahid said: "A woman would go out and walk amongst men (i.e intermingling). This was the Tabarruj of the Day of ignorance.
. -Qatadah said: "The women would walk out, swaggering and flirting (with men) so Allaah forbade them from doing that"
. -Muqatil bin Hayyan said: "Tabarruj is when a woman puts a Khimar on her head but not fastening it properly so her necklaces, earrings and neck, and all of that can be seen. As a result of this, these are all exposed from her. This is Tabarruj"
📖 (Mukhtasar Tafseer Ibn katheer, volume 3, page 94)
✒Imam Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Naasir As-Saiadee (rahimahullaah) said: This (ayah) means: Do not go out whilst you are beautified or perfumed, as the women of the Days of Ignorance used to do since they did not have any knowledge or religious characteristics.
📖(Tafseer Ibn Sa'adee, volume 6, no.107)
💭Commenting on this hadeeth, Imaam al-Albaanee (rahimahu Allah) said: "What is meant by the rare crow is that which has a red beak and red legs, as occurs in a hadeeth that states the small amount of women that will enter Paradise. This is since there are very few crows that match this type of denoscription." Silsilaat ul Ahadeeth as'Saheehah vol.4, no.1849.

Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-'Asqalani (rahimuAllah) said in Al-Fath that Ibn Abtal stated in the books of Wahab bin Menabah to take seven leaves of a green Sidr, grind them with two rocks, add water to it, read the verse of Al Kursi (2:255) and Al-Qawakil (the Surah's which start with "Qul"), take three sips, then wash up with the rest. This will remove all of his afflictions, and is a cure for men who have sexual disorders.
(Fath Al-Bari -10/233)
Al-Lalkaii said that Mohammad Ibn Othman related that Said bin Mohammad Al-Hanat stated, ''Ishaq ibn Abi Israel said, "I heard Sufyan says that Sulayman ibn Omaya (Sheikhh of Thaqif) ibn Masoud heard A'ishah (radhi Allahu anha) advise a woman to use Sidr and water to wash the traces of magic.
(Sharh Usul I'tiqad Ahl As-Sunnah wal-Jamaa -7/1288).
Shaykh Abd Al Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baaz (rahimuAllah) said that the cure of magic after its affliction is beneficial, Allah Willing. A man who cannot have sexual intercourse with his wife is advised to take seven green leaves of Sidr, grind them, put them in a container of water enough for washing the body. He should read the verse of Ayah ul Kursi (2:255), Al Ikhlaas (112), Al Falaqq (113), An Naas (114). He should also read the verses of magic in Surah Al-Aaraf (7)
