The Prophet ﷺ said

“Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils.”

*Ibn Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3371*
The Meaning of al-Taṣfiyah

Al-taṣfiyah, according to Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn Al-Albānī, is “the work of returning to the pure Islām, [cleansed] of all that has entered into it [of things contrary to the Qurʾān and Sunnah].”

‎SHAYKH. IBN 'UTHAYMEEN:

“It is OBLIGATORY to respect Muslims who witness FAJR prayer, for no one prays it EXCEPT a BELIEVER.”

Conquer your desires

Imām Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allāh have mercy on him) said:

“مُخَالَفَةُ الْهَوَى تُورِثُ الْعَبْدَ قُوَّةً فِي بَدَنِهِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَلِسَانِهِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُ السَّلَفِ الْغَالِبُ لِهَوَاهُ أَشَدُّ مِنْ الَّذِي يَفْتَحُ الْمَدِينَةَ وَحْدَهُ

"Opposing desires will allow the servant to acquire strength in his body, his heart, and his speech. Some of the righteous predecessors would say that conquering one’s desires needs more strength than one who could conquer a city by himself.”

Ibn al-Qayyim on the Benefits of Vinegar
Topics: Vinegar • Condiments

Ibn al-Qayyim said in "the Prophetic Medicine" regarding vinegar:

Muslim relates in his Saheeh, from Jaabir bin Abdullaah that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) asked his family for a condiment and they replied, "We do not have anything but vinegar". So he called for it and began to eat, saying, "How good a condiment is vinegar". In Sunan Ibn Maajah, from Umm Sa'd (radiallaahu anhaa), from the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam), "What an excellent condiment is vinegar. O Allaah bless vinegar, for it used to be the condiment of the Prophets before me. No house will be destitute that has vinegar."

Vinegar is a combination of heat andcold, of which the latter is predominant. It is dry in the third degree, and has a strong dessicative power. It prevents matters from flowing down and refines the constitution.

Wine vinegar is beneficial for inflamed stomach, calms the yellow bile, and repels the harm of deadly drugs. It dissolves milk and blood when these have solidified in the interior. It is beneficial for the spleen, tans the stomach, restricts the belly, quenches thirst, and prevents incipientinflammation. It helps the digestion, opposes phlegm, refines thick foods and thins the blood. When drunk withsalt, it is beneficial for one who has eaten deadly fungus.

When made into a broth, it dislodges the leech which has attached itself to the root of the palate. When warmed and used as a mouth rinse, it is beneficial for toothache and strengthens the gums.

It is beneficial for whitlow (pus-filled blisters) when applied as an embrocation, and for itching, hotinflammation, and burns. It increases the appetite, sweetens the stomach, and is good for young people, and in the summer for the inhabitants of warm lands.

Why Aren't You publicly Retracting When You Have To?

Shaikh Fawāz Al-Madkhalī said:
The great scholar Rabīʿ al-Madkhalī said:
If I were to have commited some error, I would not be struck silent, wondering what to say, nor have any hesitation about publicizing my retraction - and i seek refuge with Allāh from arrogance and stubborn headedness.

Statements from the salaf regarding ahlul bidah

Ibn Umar (d. 84H) said: "Every innovation is misguidance, even if the people see it as something good." Reported by Abu Shaamah (no. 39)

Sufyaan ath-Thawree (d. 161H) said:"Innovation is more beloved to Iblees than sin, since a sin may be repented from but innovation is not repented from." Reported by al-Laalikaa'ee (no. 238)

Al-Fudayl bin 'Iyaad (d. 187H) said: "I met the best of people, all of them people of the Sunnah and they used to forbid from accompanying the people of innovation." Reported by al-Laalikaa'ee (no.267)

Al-Hasan al-Basree (d. 110H) said: "Do not sit with the people of innovation and desires, nor argue with them, nor listen to them." Reported by ad-Daarimee in his Sunan (1/121)

Ibraaheem bin Maysarah (d.132H) said: "Whoever honours an innovator has aided in the destruction of Islam." Reported by al-Laalikaa'ee (1/139).

Sufyaan ath-Thawree (d. 161H) said: "Whoever listens to an innovator has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted with the innovation." Reported by Abu Nu'aym in al-Hilyah (7/26) and Ibn Battah (no.444).

Imaam Maalik (d. 179H) said: "How evil are the people of innovation, we do no give them salaam." Reported by al-Baghawee in Sharh us-Sunnah (1/234).

Imaam ash-Shaafi'ee (d. 204H) said: "That a person meets Allaah with every sin except Shirk is better than meeting Him upon any one of the innovated beliefs." Reported by al-Bayhaqee in al-I'tiqaad (p.158)

Al-Fudayl bin 'Iyaad (d. 187H) said: "Whoever sits with a person of innovation, then beware of him and whoever sits with a person of innovation has not been given wisdom. I love that there was fort of iron between me and a person of innovation. That I eat with a Jew and a Christian is more beloved to me than that I eat with a person of innovation." Reported by al-Laalikaa'ee (no.1149)

Al-Layth bin Sa'd (d. 175H) said: "If I saw a person of desires (i.e. innovations) walking upon the water I would not accept from him." So Imaam as-Shaafi'ee then said: "He (al-Layth) has fallen short. If I saw him walking in the air I would not accept from him." Reported by as-Suyooti in al-Amr bil 'Ittibaa wan-Nahee anil Ibtidaa'.

Al-Fudayl bin 'Iyaad said: "If a man comes to a person to consult him and he directs him to an innovator, then he has made a deception of Islaam. Beware of going to a person of innovation for they divert [people] from the truth." Sharh Usool ul-I'tiqaad of al-Laalikaa'ee
Testing Individuals with the Modern Day Scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah

Shaykh Jamaal Ibn Furayhaan al-Haarithee said,
“And we say today without any hesitation: When you see a man loving and praising Ibn Baaz (d.1420H) and al-Albaanee (d.1420H) and al-’Uthaymeen (d.1421H) and al-Fawzaan and al-Luhaydaan and Amaan al-Jaamee (d.1417H) and Rabee’ al-Madkhalee and al-Waadi’ee (d.1421H) and an-Najmee (d.1429H) and Zayd al-Madkhalee and al-Burjiss (d.1425H) and ’Abdul-’Azeez aalush-Shaykh and Saalih aalush-Shaykh and their likes, then know that he is a person of the Sunnah, if Allaah so wills. And when you see someone who differentiates between this and that, from those whom we have mentioned, then know that he is not upon the path. And Allaah knows best.”

WEARING COLOURED OR EMBROIDERED ABAYAS
HOME / CLOTHING / WEARING COLOURED OR EMBROIDERED ABAYAS
Question:
What is the ruling on wearing coloured and embroidered abayas? Should the abayas start from the head instead of the shoulder? This type of head abaya is not common in India and I might draw attention by wearing it. Should I discard all my coloured and embroidered abayas and buy plain black ones? Jaazak Allahu khayran.

Zaynab El-Kateb:
You can wear a colored Abaya if it is one color but not mixed colors for zeina. Abayas that are embroidered are Zeina (beautification), so you should not wear them in front of non mahram.

Dhikr brings peace and tranquility.

Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah [D.751 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said:

❝From the means of ease and delight for the heart, is: continuous remembrance of Allaah in all circumstances, and in every place. Dhikr has an amazing effect in giving ease to the heart, and pleasure to the heart. Negligence has a strange effect on making the heart constrained, imprisoning it and punishing it.❞

[Zaad al-Ma’ad By Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, (2/25)]
There is not a sufficient reason to support THE WORLD HIJAB DAY,it is a BIDAH AND ALSO HARAAM to celebrate it,in Islam we only have two celebrations, EIDUL FITRI and EIDUL HADHA,that what is legislated in the QUR'AN and SUNNAH,that what the SALAF AS SOLIH (righteous predecessors) where upon.
Let's stop all this drama to share how many years we have taking hijab for,we are doing it for the sake of Allah, some have put it for over 15yrs but still can't covered them selves how the Quran and Sunnah explained it.
What's all that for sisters, our purpose for putting the hijab is not to be recommended by people, for the believers their reward is from Allah.
Allah said But the Messenger and those who believed with him strove hard and fought with their wealth and their lives. Such are they for whom are the good things, and it is they who will be successful
[Quran 9-88]
Sisters WALAHI if we leave the QURAN AND SUNNAH as understood by our SALAF-US SOLIH,we would never be succeed in this deen (religion)
It was narrated from Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

"Whoever wants to follow an example, let them follow the example of those who have passed away, for those who are living are not safe from fitnah (temptation). They are the sahabah (companions) of muhammad. They are the best of this ummah, the purest in heart, the deepest in knowledge, and the farthest from false display of piety. They are the people whom Allah chose to be the companions of his prophet and to convey his religion. So acknowledge their superiority and imitate their way and behavior, for they were following the straight path."

(Ibn 'Abdul-Bar, Jami' Bayan Al-'Ilm wa Fadlihi, Chapter on undesirable debate, dispute, and argument, vol. 2, p. 947, no. 1810, (verified by Al-Zuhayry); and Abu Isma'il Al-Harawy, Dham Al-Kalam wa Ahlihi, vol. 4, p. 38, no. 758, verified by 'Abdullah Al-Ansary. Related by Abu Nu'aym in Al-Hilyah' from 'Abdullah ibn
Fu’aad Ibn ‘Abdul-‘azeez ash-Shulhoob ( رحمه الله ) said:

"When two people eat together, they develop a sense of love and friendship for one another, and a person should limit those feelings to those who are righteous."

{The Book of Manners, pg.425}
Haani (the freed slave) of Uthmaan (Radhi'Allāahu Anhu) said:

“Whenever ‘Uthmaan (Radhi'Allāahu Anhu) used to stand over a grave, his beard would become wet from tears.” [Al-Hilyah, 1/61]

Maalik Ibn Deenar said: “By Allaah, if it was possible for me not to sleep, I would not sleep out of fear that the punishment would descend and I am asleep. By Allaah, if I had some helpers, I would spread them out among the Dunyaa and give them orders to cry out to the people, ‘O mankind, the Fire! The Fire! (Reminding them of Jahannum)

[Al-Ihyaa, 4/567]
Ibn Taymiyah رحمه الله:

"The surah of Al-Ikhlaas, even though it contains few words it is equivalent to a ⅓ of the Qur'an, because it contains tawheed and with this it becomes known that the verses containing tawheed are better than other verses."
