[Verily, Allah will ask us about the halal things we enjoyed, so what about the haram!]
It is reported that ‘Umar bin ‘Abd Al-‘Aziz once wrote to Al-Hasan AlBasri to get a brief exhortation from him, so Al-Hasan wrote back ,
“The dunya distracts and preoccupies the heart and body, but al-zuhd (asceticism, not giving importance to worldly things) gives rest to the heart and body. Verily, Allah will ask us about the halal things we enjoyed, so what about the haram!”

"Oppression is from the most evil of the major sins, and its consequences are severe. Allaah سبحانه said:
'And whoever among you commits oppression - We will make him taste a great punishment.' (25:19)

🔴 ️Riya (Showing-off) 🔴
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“What I fear most for you is minor shirk.” They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is minor shirk? He said: “Showing off. For Allah ﷻ, will say on the Day when He will requite all people for their deeds: ‘Go to those for whom you used to show off with your deeds in the previous world, and see whether you find any reward with them.’”
|| Narrated by Ahmad (27742); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami‘ (1555) ||
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“What I fear most for you is minor shirk.” They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is minor shirk? He said: “Showing off. How to investigate a matter?!
When a person of Sunnah is alleged to have made a mistake, it is necessary that we should hear his side as well before coming to a conclusion.
When some people from Koofah complained to
We see this being repeated in our times too…
How many times people have attributed lies to the scholars?!
How many times people have falsely complained TO the scholars?!
How many times people have falsely complained ABOUT the scholars?!
How many times we have accepted the rumors without verifying the news?!
How many times friends have turned on each other because of these rumors?!
And Allaah تعالى said:
{O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.} [Surah al-Hujuraat (49): 6]
When a person of Sunnah is alleged to have made a mistake, it is necessary that we should hear his side as well before coming to a conclusion.
When some people from Koofah complained to
Umar رضي الله عنه against Sad Ibn Abee Waqqaas رضي الله عنه and among the complains they also alleged that he did not offer the prayers properly, Umar sent for Sad and said to him that people complain such and such about you. Then Umar listened to what Sad had to say. Then Umar sent a man with Sad to Koofah to investigate the matter, and whichever Masjid they went, people praised Sad. And of all the people, only one man got up to complain, and it was a lie and he did that for showing off. And Sad made Du`aa against this man and his supplication was answered. [See Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (755)]We see this being repeated in our times too…
How many times people have attributed lies to the scholars?!
How many times people have falsely complained TO the scholars?!
How many times people have falsely complained ABOUT the scholars?!
How many times we have accepted the rumors without verifying the news?!

And Allaah تعالى said:

Ibn Battaal (rahimahullaah) said: “Betrayal is haraam (forbidden) with all people, the righteous of them and the wicked of them, because betrayal is oppression, and oppression of the wicked is forbidden just like the oppression of the righteous pious one.”

"Where is the beauty and handsome? Where are those who were delighted by their youth and good looks? Where are the kings who built cities and fenced them with walls? Where are the victorious in wars? They all perished and ended in the depths of dark graves! Hasten and hurry up [to do good deeds]; but death is faster."

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : من طلب الدنيا أضر بالآخرة ، ومن طلب الآخرة أضر بالدنيا فأضروا بالفاني للباقى.
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Whoever seeks world will be harmed by Hereafter (Ākhirah) and whoever seeks Hereafter will be harmed by the world (Dunyā), so harm the one that will perish for the one that will remain forever.”
● [حسنه الألباني في الصحيحه ٧\٨٤٩ رقم الحديث ٣٢٨٧]
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : من طلب الدنيا أضر بالآخرة ، ومن طلب الآخرة أضر بالدنيا فأضروا بالفاني للباقى.

The great scholar Ibn Uthaymeen Rahimuhullaah said:
“أن اﻹنسان لا يعجب بعمله، مهما عملت من اﻷعمال الصالحة لا تعجب بعملك، فعملك قليل بالنسبة لحق الله عليك”
‘A person should not be amazed with his deeds, no matter how many good deeds he had done. Do not be amazed by your deeds. Your deeds are few in comparison to Allaah’s right upon you.’

لا تنس الاستعانة بالله ولو على الشيء اليسير
‘Do not forget to seek aid from Allaah even if it is for something very small.’
